It is a method of preparing hypophosphorous acid with electrodialysis. It comprises Ti-PbO2 anode, an insoluble cathode and an aqueous solution of hypophosphite anions in six-compartment electrolytic cell. The direct current, through the insoluble anode to cathode in electrical contact with the aqueous solution to generate H+, forms hypophosphorous acid solution. In this paper, the best term of different factors about the experiment was studied. The best condition was to keep the NaH2PO2 concentration between 300 and 500g/L, current value 3.0A, reaction time 12-18 h. The process is simple, low cost and highly efficient, which is a cleaner production without waste residue and waste water.

The biosorption characteristic of Cd(II) ions from aqueous solution using Lengkuas Merah (Alpinia Gralanga) were investigated as a function of pH. The maximum biosorption capacity of a Lengkuas Merah (Alpinia Gralanga) for Cd(II) was found to be 18,37 mg/L and 91,85% at optimum pH was 10. At pH 2 to 10 the biosorption of Cd ions tends to increase. The result showed that the lengkuas merah  can be evaluated as an alternative biosorbent to treatment waste water containing Cd(II). A Lengkuas Merah is low cost and has considerable high biosorption capacity.

The hypophosphorous acid was achieved with the electrodialysis, which comprises a Ti-PbO2 anode, a stainless steel cathode and an aqueous solution of sodium hypophosphite. The process of producing hypophosphorous acid was studied. Some factors, such as anodic voltage, product concentration and current efficiency were conducted. The results showed that, six-compartment electrodialytic cell could be used to improve the hypophosphorous acid content and purity. The Ti-PbO2 electrode was optimal anode material to cut down the cost of production. The process was simple, low cost and high efficient, and it was a cleaner production without waste residue and waste water.

A new biosorbent prepared by using garlic peel as the raw material was investigated for the removal of methylene blue (MB) from aqueous solution. Results showed that adsorption of MB on garlic peel gel was highly pH-dependent, and equilibrium was attained in 10 min. The adsorption capacity is 440 mg MB per gram of garlic peel gel. The column adsorption results show that MB can be completely removed from aqueous solution, and 1.0 M HCl is effective to elute the adsorbed MB off the column and condense the initial MB solution to more than 40 times. The prepared garlic gel exhibits as a potential low-cost and effective adsorbent for dyes removal from waste water.

Some ways of estimating the values of the intrinsic viscosity of chitosan were analyzed. It was shown that the method of Irzhak and Baranov for estimating the current value of the intrinsic viscosity allows to adequately estimates the conformational state of the macromolecular coil and its degree of swelling.

The polycyclic dihydropyridine nucleus represents the heterocyclic system of invaluable core motifs with wide applications in chemical, biological and physical properties. Although this kind of compounds have been extensively synthesized by other groups, the synthesis of these compounds under CFL light intensity were not explored. The synthesis of polycyclic dihydropyridine derivatives were achieved through the reaction of 4-hydroxycoumarin, aromatic aldehydes and ammonium acetate under CFL light irradiation conditions. A series of polycyclic dihydropyridine derivatives were prepared under CFL light irradiation conditions with high yield, short reaction time, ambient condition and without the use of catalyst. The results displayed an efficient method for the synthesis of polycyclic dihydropyridine derivatives. Clean profile, short reaction time, low cost and use of CFL light intensity instead of catalyst making it a genuinely green protocol.
