Based on the construction practice of strengthening dam foundation and cross-strait dam end (0+149~0+330) high pressure jet grouting impervious wall of an earth dam, this paper expounds the construction equipment, technological process, construction parameters and construction method of high pressure jet grouting impervious wall construction. By analyzing the impervious wall’s depth, continuity, strength, permeable rate, the quality of the wall is eligible, and its indexes comfort the design requirements. The experiences are useful in similar earth dam reinforcement construction.

In view of the existing permeable sand layer and the leakage risk which threaten the earth dam foundation of Chulou reservoir, the high pressure jet grouting measure was applied to block leakage passage to solving the leakage problems of earth dam foundation. This paper mainly describes the high pressure jet grouting impermeable wall construction, including construction equipment, technological process, construction parameters and method, and wall quality detection. The test results show that the indexes such as wall depth, continuity, compressive strength, permeability coefficient meet the design requirements. The quality of impermeable wall is accepted.

The water infiltration problem of water conservancy projects is one of the more common problems in the construction of water conservancy projects, which seriously affects the overall construction quality and safety of water conservancy projects. This article studies the causes of water infiltration in water conservancy projects and introduces related anti-seepage technologies, hoping to be a reference for the implementation of anti-seepage projects. Through research, it is found that the factors that cause water infiltration in water conservancy projects include water conservancy project structural changes, environmental factors and construction factors. Relevant personnel can use concrete anti-seepage wall construction technology and high-pressure jet grouting technology to do the relevant anti-seepage work of water conservancy projects.

High pressure jet grouting piles have a wide range of application in the engineering field. However, nowadays the increasing construction depth leads to an increasing difficulty of construction, which involves that the quality of construction is much more difficult to control. In this paper, some examples are given of the Luoyuan ultra-deep high pressure jet grouting piles. These examples are described with the used construction quality control methods and preventive recommendations for work construction quality detection methods. That is why this paper has an important guiding significance for similar projects.

The article is devoted to solving one of the most important problems of the development of the sugar industry in Russia – the modernization of sugar production processes. Today, sugar production is actively being modernized, shifting most of its processes to the path of avomatization and optimization to improve the quality of products. This article describes one of the main ways to obtain information about the concentration of sucrose in syrup in the production of sugar.

The contact belt of the gate assembly is the main part of high pressure fittings. The serviceability of the fittings assembly as whole depends on the air-tightness and quality of the mating surfaces. The technology of diamond burnishing allows to increase the interface of the nodes by red ucing the surface roughness of the metal-to-metal seal. The real experience for improving of the fittings contact belt due to the use of diamond burnishing of the nozzles seats and the conical surface of the rods.

Chickpea cooking water (CCW), known as aquafaba, has potential as a replacement for egg whites due to its emulsion and foaming properties which come from the proteins and starch that leach out from chickpeas into the cooking water. High pressure (HP) processing has the ability to modify the functional characteristics of proteins. It is hypothesized that HP processing could favorably affect the functional properties of CCW proteins by influencing their structure. The objective of this study to evaluate the effect of HP treatment on the associated secondary structure, emulsion properties and thermal characteristics of CCW proteins. A central composite rotatable design is used with pressure level (227–573 MPa) and treatment time (6–24 min) as HP variables, and concentration of freeze dried CCW aquafaba powder (11–29%) as product variable, and compared to untreated CCW powder. HP improves aquafaba emulsion properties compared to control sample. HP reduces protein aggregates by 33.3%, while β-sheets decreases by 4.2–87.6% in which both correlated to increasing protein digestibility. α-helices drops by 50%. It affects the intensity of some HP treated samples, but not the trend of bands in most of them. HP treatment decreases Td and enthalpy because of increasing the degree of denaturation.

Reducing the duration of construction works requires additional organizational measures, such as selecting construction methods that assure a shorter realization time, engaging additional resources, working overtime, or allowing construction works to be performed simultaneously in the same working units. The simultaneous work of crews may affect the quality of works and the efficiency of construction processes. This article presents a simulation model aimed at assessing the impact of the overlap period on the extension of the working time of the crews and the reduction of a repetitive project’s duration in random conditions. The purpose of simulation studies is to provide construction managers with guidelines when deciding on the dates of starting the sequential technological process lines realized by specialized working crews, for sustainable scheduling and organization of construction projects.
