Purpose This paper aims to empirically investigate how event innovation may induce desirable corporate branding. Design/methodology/approach A survey yielded 280 complete responses from tourists who had attended an event in Macau. Structural equation modeling was used to test the innovation-corporate loyalty framework through perceived event value and corporate image, with a multi-group comparison to examine differences between first-time and repeat customers. Findings The results indicate that innovation is not only the key to value enhancement of the event but also an efficacious instrument of branding the parent company and building corporate loyalty; only product-related innovation has a significant impact on event value; both functional and emotional values induce a more favorable corporate image; and event-induced corporate branding is more effective in securing repeat business than attracting new clientele. Practical implications The findings help hospitality operators and event planners to leverage innovative events for corporate branding and cater to different customer segments by providing distinct marketing strategies. Originality/value The study contributes to the body of knowledge regarding event management and corporate branding and sheds light on future research to explore the initiative and benefit of pushing forward event innovation.

Purpose This study aims to investigate the brand-oriented leadership of a city’s mayor and city online brand communication as brand management-related antecedents of residents’ city brand commitment. It thus examines if city brand managers can apply internal branding concepts from the corporate branding domain in a city branding context. Design/methodology/approach The relationships between the brand management-related antecedents and the internal city branding (ICB) objective are tested through structural equation modeling using cross-sectional survey data of 414 residents of a German city. Findings Both the brand-oriented leadership of the mayor in terms of acting as a role model by living the city brand and its identity and by showing commitment to the brand and the city’s online brand communication in terms of its quality have positive effects on residents’ city brand commitment. Moderation analyses reveal no significant differences between the path estimates for age, place of birth, duration of residency and education. However, the results differ significantly for gender. Research limitations/implications As this study’s sample is limited to only one city in Germany, further research needs to investigate the relationships in different cities and other countries to ensure the generalizability of the results. Future studies might also include other aspects of city brand communication, as well as cognitive and behavioural ICB objectives. Practical implications To increase residents’ city brand commitment, city brand managers should ensure that a city’s online brand communication is adequate, complete, credible, useful and clear. Furthermore, through creating awareness for the importance of a mayor’s brand-oriented leadership and through educating and training the mayor to engage in this specific form of brand-oriented transformational leadership, city brand managers can increase residents’ emotional attachment with the city brand. Originality/value This study integrates internal branding research from the corporate branding domain with place and city branding research. It confirms that certain aspects of internal branding (i.e. brand-oriented leadership, brand communication and brand commitment) are applicable not only in the corporate branding domain but also in other branding contexts such as city branding if adapted properly.

ABSTRAK Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dan menggambarkan mengenai tahap membagikan, mengoptimalkan, mengelola serta mengikutsertakan pada  pengelolaan cyber  public  relations  dalam  membentuk  corporate  branding  di PT  Len Industri (Persero). Konsep  yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu konsep  model melingkar  untuk  sosial  media  menurut Regina  Luttrell . Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu menggunakan metode deksriptif dengan pendekatan kualitiatif. Pengumpulan  data  yang  digunakan  yaitu dengan wawancara, dan observasi.  Hasil  penelitian dilapangan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa praktisi  humas  PT Len Industri (Persero) dalam pengelolaan cyber public relations guna membentuk corporate branding memiliki  empat  tahapan  yakni : 1) tahap  membagikan  konten terdiri dari: a) berpartisipasi  menggunakan  media  sosial , b) saling terhubung dengan publik, c) membangun  kepercayaan publik . 2) tahap pengoptimalan pesan  yang dilakukan  yakni  dengan : a) melakukan  pengecekan hashtag, b) melakukan postingan lima kali sehari, dan c) melakukan  postingan yang memiliki unsur teknologi. 3) mengelola dibagi menjadi tiga, yaitu : a) media monitoring, b) interaksi dalam waktu yang sebenarnya, dan c) memberikan respon cepat. 4) mengikutsertakan publik dengan tiga unsure yaitu : a) menjalin hubungan dengan para influencer, b) mengetahui dimana dan siapa audiens, serta c)  meraih target audiens. ABSTRACT The  purpose  of  to  find  out and describe the sharingstage,optimize,manage  and engage in cyber public relations management in forming a corporate branding in PT Len Industri (Persero). The concept  used  in  this research is the concept of  The Circular model of Some to Regina Luttrell. The research method using  an  adaptive  method  with  a  qualitative  approach. Data collection used in this study is by interview,and observation. The results of the research in the field can be concluded that PT Len Industri (Persero) public  relations  practitioners  in  the management  of  cyber  public  relations  to  form  corporate  branding  has  four  stages : 1) The share stage consists of: a) participating  in  social  media  (participate), b) connect with public (connect), c) build  public  trust (build trust). 2) optimize phase messages that are carried out by: a) checking hashtag, b) posting  five time a day, c) do posts that have technological elements. 3) The  manage  divided  into: a) media  monitoring, b) interaction  in  real  time, c)  provide quick response. 4) engage  the  public  : a) establish  a  relationship  with  influencer, b) where and  who  is  the  audience, c)  reach  the target  audience. The paper discusses the role and importance of corporate communications in the processes of corporate identity creation. Corporate identity is a result of the interaction between manager, employees and business environment/stakeholders. Possibilities of creating a desirable corporate identity is highly correlated with the dominant organizational and social patterns of culture. Strong, open and positive cultures give the corporation pre-requisite to communicate efficiently, which will bring the corporation into the corporate branding process with all the competitive benefits. Negative cultures does not support creation of favourable corporate identities and images. They create fear of open communication: pre-requisite of any efficient corporate communication program.

RESUMO O conceito de Marca Corporativa apresenta ampla aplicação e escopo da gestão, gerando diversos motivos que levam a opção por esta estratégia. O objetivo do estudo é entender quais são os motivos percebidos como relevantes para adotar a marca corporativa, bem como quais as abordagens mais proeminentes entre executivos brasileiros. Este estudo, de natureza descritiva e quantitativa, envolveu o mapeamento dos principais motivos abordados na literatura e uma survey com 275 gestores de empresas de diferentes segmentos, todas atuantes no Brasil. Neste estudo, a definição de “principais motivos” adotada refere-se às razões percebidas como relevantes para a opção por uma estratégia de marca corporativa, incluindo referenciais de resultados esperados, benefícios percebidos e premissas de atuação de mercado. Os resultados indicam a predominância da visão da marca corporativa como meio de comunicar os valores, seguida da escola voltada para a construção da imagem positiva. Entre os motivos mais relevantes, o fortalecimento das marcas dos produtos e o foco nos consumidores chama mais atenção, seguido de fortalecimento de identidade em multinacionais. O estudo contribui com o mapeamento abrangente dos motivos para esta estratégia e a visão sobre quais as perspectivas predominantes no mercado brasileiro.

The title of this research is “Corporate Branding Coworking Space in Bandung” with the subtitle is “Descriptive Study of Corporate Branding Coworking Space in Bandung to Create Product Differentiation”. The high demand for economical workspace makes business coworking space growing. The growth happen in Bandung and make the level of competition coworking space in Bandung is quite high, especially with the uniformity of the product offered each coworking space. Seeing these growth, researchers interested in conducting research on how corporate branding coworking space in Bandung to create product differentiation.The purpose of this study is to discover how company create the vision, implemented vision to their corporate culture, and the compability between their vision and image of Bandung Digital Valley, Freenovation, and Ruang Reka that stakeholder created. The method used in this research is descriptive method with qualitative data and Hatch & Schultz’s concept of corporate branding. The data collection techniques used in interviews, observation, and documentation study.The result of this study indicate that Bandung Digital Valley, Freenovation, and Ruang Reka focus to introduce the company to their target market. Started from create the vision of the company by founder based on their experiences and business opportunity. Then, the application of corporate vision to corporate culture. Non of Bandung Digital Valley, Freenovation, or Ruang Reka implement the vision into corporate culture. Last, Bandung Digital Valley, Freenovation, and Ruang Reka think it is not a right time to create corporate image because they need to improve the quality of their facility first.   Keywords : corporate branding, product differentiation, Bandung Digital Valley, Freenovation, Ruang RekaJudul penelitian yang diangkat adalah “Corporate Branding Coworking Space di Bandung” dengan sub judul Studi Deskriptif mengenai Corporate Branding Coworking Space di Bandung dalam Melakukan Diferensiasi Produk”.  Tingginya kebutuhan akan ruang kerja yang ekonomis membuat bisnis coworking space semakin berkembang. Perkembangan ini terjadi di Bandung dan membuat tingkat persaingan coworking space di Bandung cukup tinggi, terlebih dengan keseragaman produk yang ditawarkan tiap coworking space. Melihat perkembangan tersebut, peneliti tertarik untuk melakukan penelitian mengenai bagaimana corporate branding coworking space di Bandung dalam melakukan diferensiasi produk. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana pembentukan visi perusahaan, pengimplementasian visi ke dalam budaya, dan kesesuaian citra dengan visi Bandung Digital Valley, Freenovation, dan Ruang Reka yang dihasilkan oleh stakeholder. Mengacu kepada konsep Corporate Branding dari Hatch dan Schultz. Metode penelitian yaitu metode deskriptif dengan data kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Setelah melakukan penelitian hasil yang didapat menunjukkan bahwa Corporate branding Bandung Digital Valley, Freenovation, dan Ruang Reka diakui fokus pada pengenalan perusahaan ke target pasarnya. Dimulai dengan pembentukan visi oleh pendiri melihat dari pengalaman dan peluang yang dimiliki. Lalu, penerapan visi pada setiap aspek perusahaan, salah satunya budaya perusahaan tidak dilakukan oleh seluruh coworking space. Terakhir, pembentukan citra kepada stakeholder dirasa belum saatnya karena masih perlu meningkatkan kualitas internal namun sudah ada usaha kesana yang tidak disadari oleh  Bandung Digital Valley, Freenovation, dan Ruang Reka.Kata Kunci : pembentukan merek perusahaan, diferensiasi produk, Bandung Digital Valley, Freenovation, Ruang Reka.
