Southern part of Bali, especially the regency of Badung, in addition to having natural beauty and popular tourist attraction, it has a high potential for disaster. The fact is the coastline of Bali in the south is prone to tsunami because Bali is located close to the colliding zone between the Indo-Australian plate and the Eurasia plate, which presents the main source of local tsunami that could hit the island of Bali. This research undertakes the design and development of a Geographic Information System (GIS) that can provide information and socialization of potential tsunami impact areas and safe gathering places for coastal tourism area in Badung regency. This application is built web-based by using Google Maps API v3. In this Geographic Information System, users can identify potential tsunami impact areas, obtain information on evacuation methods in the event of a tsunami disaster and can find the nearest safe gathering places to do evacuation. By utilizing geolocation and direction services from Google Maps API v3, simulation of the nearest evacuation route has been successfully built. Evacuation is done by considering two possible evacuation sites. The first possibility is to evacuate to the nearest vertical high building, and the second evacuation site is away from the danger zone (red zone) and towards the safe zone (yellow zone or outside the yellow zone).

<p class="TableParagraph"><em>In 2006, a tsunami disaster occurred on the coast of Pangandaran Regency which claimed up to 664 fatalities. A large number of people died due to lack of information in knowing areas that are prone to tsunami disasters. Therefore, a geographic information system for the tsunami disaster is needed to facilitate the Pangandaran community to find out areas that are prone to tsunami disasters. In making a geographic information system web tsunami disaster using GeoServer, PostgreSQL and LeafletJS. Making a geographic information system web is done in several ways, namely, entering shapefile data into a database and then displaying it on a map server. The results of creating a web of the tsunami geographic information system contain information on land use, public facilities, hamlet boundaries, road networks, river networks and tsunami disaster mitigation.</em></p>

AbstractMapping potential disasters and problems is the basis for knowing disaster risks that will occur. Wojo Village is one of the villages in the southern region of Malang Regency which has the potential of a tsunami disaster. The potential of the tsunami disaster was realized by the community since the cessation of the mining cooperatives in 2015 on Golo Beach. The activity of mapping potential disasters and problems utilize the Participatory Geographic Information System (PGIS) method. This method was carried out by inviting several group representatives to conduct focus group discussions (FGD). The aim is to find potential disaster funding problems according to the perspective of the local community. The result of the process of mapping potential disasters and problems is the emergence of different perspectives between men and women invited as representatives. The male representatives present were able to draw on the map regarding the potential for disasters and the problem in the village was one of which was a tsunami, whereas women's representatives actually looked at potential disasters and problems from the perspective of the family's economic stability. Some male representatives stated that the threat of the tsunami became a male area of control while women's representatives guarded Brahma cattle. When referring to these results, women's groups become gender groups threatened by the risk of a tsunami disaster.

Jember is one of the regencies in East Java having tsunami-prone areas. Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) of Jember defined six sub-districts that are vulnerable to tsunami disasters comprised of Kencong, Puger, Gumukmas, Wuluhan, Ambulu, and Tempurejo. Settlements in coastal areas are at risk of being affected by the tsunami. The residential household close to the seashore is centrally located in Kencong, Gumukmas, Puger, and Ambulu sub-district. The high density of buildings can cause economic losses and fatalities in the surrounding area when a tsunami disaster strikes. This research aims to identify and measure tsunami risk levels in all coastal villages of the Jember Regency. The research method used a quantitative approach through scoring and weighting technique, also a disaster risk matrix. Spatial analysis conduct used a geographic information system app (Arc GIS). The Arc GIS output is of several maps of hazard, vulnerability, capacity, and tsunami disaster risk in the Jember Regency Coastal Area. The research result of the tsunami disaster risk assessment showed that six villages had high risk from twelve coastal villages in Jember Regency.
