This paper examined the impact of restructuring macroeconomic policy for sustainable development in Nigeria. The paper examines the various efforts aimed at restructuring macroeconomics policy in Nigeria. These efforts were captured in the SAP of 1986, NEEDS of 2004, the Transformation Agenda of 2011 and the ERGP of 2016. The paper adopted content analysis method of qualitative research given the peculiarity of the subject matter. There were documented evidence that during the aforementioned periods, the economy showed signs of growth and development. Despite the gains of the reforms, Nigeria is still grappling with economic growth and development issues-unemployment, poverty and rising cost of living. This paper however recommends that there should be continuity in programmes and policies of government. Programmes and policies should not change with regime change. There should be a deliberate and conscious effort on the part of government and policy makers to design programmes and policies that are people oriented, home grown and have the capacity to promote and sustainable growth and development.

The article describes the main typological characteristics of the specialized newspaper of the literary-publishing direction «Knyzhkova Teka». It was issued in Ukraine during 1994―1997s. The thematic and heading corpus of the newspaper, genre specifics, artistic and technical design, have been analyzed. In the context of research of the trade newspaper of book thematic the defining typological criteria were the audience orientation, as well as others: a nature of the impact (semantic characteristics ― the subject of presentation, or the scope of reflective reality, the nature of the presentation); authorship; the size of the readership (circulation), and so on. An attention is also focused upon a study of the problems of the literary and publishing process of that time, specifically its reflection on the pages of the analyzed media. A particular attention is paid to the review, specifically processing the issues of the newspaper «Knyzhkova Teka». The main typological characteristics are described: authorship, artistic and technical design, as well as thematic-heading content. The content analysis of information-analytical publications of the various types and genres is carried out. The newspaper is considered as an attempt of emerging trade medium in book journalism. It can serve as one of the examples of discursive practice of that time ― cultural journalism, book journalism. Such methods of research have been employed here: system, terminological analysis, contextual, communication, content analysis method, comparative, as well as a historical one. Sustainability has become an important concept in economic growth and development in the world. Malaysia, as a rapidly developing economy in Asia, has been able to achieve a positive economic growth; however, there is a big question: is it on a sustainable growth path? Due to weaknesses of traditional GDP in reflecting sustainability path, Green GDP as an indicator of sustainability could be implemented with adjustments in calculations. This paper aims to calculate the Green GDP for Malaysia. This measure will almost give policy makers a more arguable estimate for the area of environmental challenges. This paper highlights the role of natural resources depletion and environmental damages in sustainable development of the country. Green GDP is associated with some uncertainties such as lack of comprehensive calculations in estimating data and difficulties in setting the price of natural resources. These uncertainties and how Malaysia would be able to implement more accurate Green GDP in future were also discussed.

The analysis of sustainable economic growth and development often focuses on how to control the market process through coercive state intervention. While state interventionism may play a significant role in countries’ progress, entrepreneurship is the driving force behind sustainable growth and development. Entrepreneurship is the people’s judgment on ideas, plans, and projects, which promises profit in uncertain times. Its effects are the creation and transmission of information and social coordination as a dynamic process of identifying and solving human problems. Sustainable development is the widening range of entrepreneurial alternatives open to people, and sustainable growth is a phase of sustainable development that depends on genuine savings to finance increasingly capital-intensive production structures. The degree to which people are entrepreneurs and the direction genuine savings take depend on institutional arrangements. Some institutions are more conducive to sustainable growth and development than others. After reviewing principles of growth and development sustainability, how coercive state intervention influences economic performance is discussed, proposing novel policy conclusions and research avenues to cultivate entrepreneurship and genuine savings in a post-COVID-19 world.

The development of students’ entrepreneurial confidence, aptitude and self−efficacy, irrespective of their discipline, is strongly advocated by researchers, policy makers and the media as an important societal institution, indispensable for economic growth and development, social cohesion, job creation and indeed the changing world of work. This study reinforces the view that entrepreneurship education (EE) is a core, vital research space that warrants continued and consistent investigation given its significant role in fostering entrepreneurial mindsets and encouraging entrepreneurial behaviour. The main aim of this study is to evaluate and measure the impact of EE on entrepreneurial confidence, aptitude and self-efficacy. First, it investigates whether participation in EE influences or changes students’ perception of entrepreneurship as a career choice, and their confidence, aptitude and self-efficacy in relation to that career. Second, it investigates what aspects of EE impact students’ entrepreneurial confidence and aptitude. Third, the study investigates the impact of EE on self-efficacy, and students’ belief in their ability and motivation to start an entrepreneurial venture, having completed a specialist EE programme.

In this competitive environment, organizations strive to satisfy their customer by providing best quality service at affordable and fair prices with a view to enhance their revenues. To achieve the objective of revenue maximization, organizations strive to identify the factors that help them in retaining their customers. Drawing from the signalling theory of marketing, the current study proposes a novel conceptual model representing the impact of service quality with food quality and price fairness on customer retention in restaurant sector of Pakistan. The paper underlines an important arena of knowledge for academicians as well as organizational scientists on the subject. On the basis of literature available on the variables understudy, the present study forwards eight research propositions worthy of urgent scholarly attention. The conceptualized model of the present article can also be viewed significant in unleashing further avenues for the restaurant management entities, policy makers and future researchers in the domain of managing in the service sector businesses.

This perspective discusses the impact of political economy on the regulation of modern biotechnology. Modern biotechnology has contributed to sustainable development, but its potential has been underexplored and underutilized. We highlight the importance of the impacts of regulations for investments in modern biotechnology and argue that improvements are possible via international harmonization of approval processes. This development is urgently needed for improving sustainable development. Policy makers in the European Union (EU) in particular are challenged to rethink their approach to regulating modern biotechnology as their decisions have far ranging consequences beyond the boundaries of the EU and they have the power to influence international policies.

The impact of implementation of cohesion policy on the sustainable development of EU countries is of great interest and presents a number of actual challenges. This research aims to evaluate the impact and the effects of the cohesion policy among the Member States using hierarchical clustering analysis in order to identify how the selected variables affect the sustainable development adopted models. The variables used in the analysis were selected on the basis of official data provided by the European Commission, SDG Index and Dashboards Reports and the EU Cohesion Monitor. The results of the research have led to the grouping of the 28 Member States in a number of six clusters, identifying performers but also those countries that have a high potential for sustainable development or which require increased attention to be sustained in recovering existing gaps. The results of the study can be a starting point for policy makers and other stakeholders involved in their efforts to support sustainable development through effective and effective policies.

Abstract In the present conditions when the demographic pressure upon the environment is higher than ever, the humanity faces the challenge of sustainability. Namely the sustainability of human activities is important and nothing can assure it better than sustainable energy supplies. The European Union is the leading global power in terms of adjusting its policies to increase innovation to assure a sustainable growth of its energy sector as a key to an advanced economic system. The present research focuses on the impact of European Union policies on the sustainable development of its energy sector by analyzing quantitatively and qualitatively various indicators intended to offer a throughout insight. The results obtained focus on the identification of the main innovation paradigms; the description of the main modern environmental challenges, especially in the energy domain; the determination of the relation between innovation and energy sustainability, and its analysis at the level of European Union.

Postmodern culture, which developed after the modern period, is in a structure in which postfordist consumption understanding is adopted instead of fordist consumption and consumption for image purposes is at the forefront. In this context, brands create their images in order to be remembered in the current culture and to create a lifestyle for the continuity of consumption. The creation process of images, on the other hand, is through advertisements where the continuous production and consumption of high reality and commodities is made, and it shows a common development with postmodern culture brand images. Within the scope of the study, a descriptive approach and content analysis method were preferred in order to make sense of how brand images are produced through advertisements in the postmodern period and to deal with the constructing dimension. Accordingly, the top 10 brands in the ranking of the Brand Finance 2021 Turkey Report were selected as a sample and the ads of the selected brands between 1 June 2021 and 5 June 2021 with the theme of world environment day were analyzed. As a result of the analysis, within the framework of advertising and consumption; brand images in the postmodern period, where there are higher realities, fragmented consumer structure, production and consumption change places and the subject is decentralized; Impressions can be evaluated in various ways such as symbolism, personification, meanings and messages and psychological elements. Looking at the general position, it has been concluded that the structural features of postmodernity are effective in creating and creating brand image characters, and in this respect, it shapes brand images.
