In order to study the coupling coordination relationship, the equipment manufacturing industry has been taken as the example to develop the evaluation index system of producer services and equipment manufacturing industry through employing the entropy weighting method. The relationship between them has been verified in the whole country. The research results show that there is a symbiotic relationship between the producer services and the equipment manufacturing industry. Both of them are mutually promoted and symbiotically developed. The unbalanced economic development in all regions of China is dominated by the synergy degree difference of both sides, which provides the guidance for the regional economic development in our country.

Countries participating in the international division of labor each try to occupy the industrial highlands, obtain competitive advantages, and promote sustainability of economic development. Based on Porter’s Diamond model, it is widely believed that producer services are vital to support the manufacturing industry. Consequently, this paper selects samples of 55 countries and uses data from 2010 to 2017 to empirically test the impact of producer service’s opening on the export competitiveness of the manufacturing industry. The results show that the opening of producer services in a country promotes the improvement of international competitiveness of manufacturing industry, and the improvement effect is more significant in developed countries than in developing countries. Additionally, the negative impact of foreign capital access restrictions on the export competitiveness of the manufacturing industry is greater than the positive impact of service trade opening. It is also found that the restrictions on foreign capital’s opening in the financial sector have the biggest negative impact on manufacturing exports than that of other divisions of the producer service industry. To improve national competitiveness, it is suggested that the integration of service and manufacturing industries should be enhanced and to decrease FDI access to financial and transportation services restrictions.

Based on the direct consumption coefficient, using the clustering analysis technology, our studies have showed that the contribution of science and Technology Service Industry to six industrial categories of the smelting and mangling process of ferrous metal six industrial categories was lower. The contribution to four industry categories of electrical machinery and equipment manufacturing industry focused on the scientific and technological exchanges and promotion services; while the contribution of technology services to the petroleum processing, coking and nuclear fuel processing industry is not enough, its distribution is more balanced and reasonable. The contribution to the fabricated metal products industry is focused on scientific and technological exchanges and promotion. The contribution of general equipment manufacturing industry is focused on the development of researches and experiments and professional and technical service.

Servitization has a significant impact on the upgrading and reform of the equipment manufacturing industry. From the perspective of application of high-end servitization theory in business practice of equipment manufacturing industry, based on the review of relevant literature, this paper analyzes the concept of integration delay strategy mechanism of cooperative production between enterprises and customers, and thus constructs the theoretical model framework of 4S service pilot high-end equipment manufacturing product-customer interaction experience. With the Liaoning equipment manufacturing industry as a case for quantitative analysis, the feasibility of using delay strategy in the 4S service pilot program is demonstrated, and the three-stage development plan of Liaoning 4S service pilot is outlined. The results show that: At present, in the trend of servitization of China’s equipment manufacturing enterprises, 4S service pilot high-end manufacturing product model enables equipment manufacturing enterprises to delay production time and produce according to customer orders, improve service efficiency and optimize resource allocation, and help enterprises to obtain new exclusive competitive advantages.

With the over-exploitation of global resources and the increasing cost of developing land resources, marine resources have become the new choice for coastal countries to address resource problems. The development and utilization of marine resources encourages the growing of marine engineering equipment manufacturing industry. In this paper, we take Guangdong Province as the studied area, which has a natural advantage for the development of shipping and marine equipment industry, applying the mainstream industry competitive advantage theory – “diamond model” to build evaluation index system. And we calculate combining weights by AHP and variation coefficient method, as well as giving a comprehensive evaluation from the perspective of quantitative analysis for development of marine engineering equipment manufacturing industry in Guangdong Province. The results show that although Guangdong marine engineering equipment manufacturing industry achieves rapid development in recent years, the total scale amount of industry is small, shipbuilding industry development is slow, and professional technical personnel is inadequate. For these problems, this paper provides some suggestions for marine equipment manufacturing industry in Guangdong Province.
