Two different slug test methods including: i) slug test using the standard slug rod and ii) pneumatic slug test are conducted in different well/depth in Danphuong field site for a comparative analysis. These methods are examined at least 3 times for each well to estimate hydraulic conductivities by using Hvorslev. The results show correlation between two slug test methods is very hight with R2 = 0,93. Slug tests methods have several advantages and also disadvantage compare to each other. Practical considerations of performing the tests in real life settings are also considered in the method comparison. The slug-rod method meets 7/10 criterions while pneumatic slug test satisfy 8/10 criterions.

The article provides a comparative analysis of the influence of L.N. Tolstoy and I.I. Sergiev (John of Kronstadt) on the formation of personal worldview in Russian society. The analysis is based on the testimonies of the contemporaries and the previously not reissued publication of “Novy Put” (“New Way”) journal on the subject. In the context of the declared problematics, special attention is paid to the question of transformation of religious consciousness in the course of the personality formation in relation to the period under consideration (the beginning of the 20th century). The author reveals and analyzes the main components of the life stand of Tolstoy and Father John of Kronstadt in the context of their influence on contemporaries. The results of the study allow to reveal the following antitheses that characterize Tolstoy and John of Kronstadt, respectively: doubt - faith, search for oneself – following the once chosen path, preaching of non-resistance as part of the philosophy of not-doing (not doing evil) – preaching of active upholding of faith (doing good), “simple living” – real life with and for common people.

Purpose of Study: The purpose of the study is to carry out the comparison of traditional learning and e-learning with reference to university education. Methodology: A comparative analysis method that has been selected to fulfill the purpose of the study. The research data has been collected by various sources internet, previous research studies published in the Journal, universities which offer different technical and nontechnical programs .and further analyzed by in-depth understanding approach. Result: The outcome of this study will show the effect of e-learning in the current era. As we have compared e-learning with traditional learning and the result shows us that e-learning has filled the gap between the universities and the real-life industries' demands. Main finding: The result of this study showed that e-learning is the need of the present era in order to fulfill the gap between the universities and the real-life industries' demands. Additionally, e-learning based courses will have more impact and provide more skill and exposure to students as compared to traditional learning mode. Implications/Applications: This article can help the different universities and students to introduce more e-learning courses in their curriculum and they can fill the real-time industries' demands. Novelty/originality of the study: Our research can ensure that e-learning has a huge impact on our students and can help to increase the skills and exposure of them according to the current demands.

PurposeThis paper develops a platform that can be used to determine how to effectively and efficiently deal with a large number of temporary facilities under a constrained site condition(s). The ultimate goal is to reduce the material handling costs between transformation phases of construction works occurring during the project's development period.Design/methodology/approachEmpirical and deductive research is first adopted to mathematical model dynamic site layout planning using the branch and bond algorithm (B&B). Second, a real-life construction project is examined to illustrate how dynamic site layout planning (using the aforementioned B&B algorithm and a computer software program called LINGO) can reduce the material handling costs. The application of the proposed methodology is then showcased against a case study that utilizes a comparative analysis between the “dynamic” and “statistic” site planning approaches.FindingsBy dividing the construction period into different phases, the developed model is shown to be capable of optimizing the material handling costs between the phases of transformation during construction works. Optimal costs are also considered using the site boundary and unit cost for moving construction materials between two facilities. The comparative analysis results illustrate that the B&B algorithm reduces material handling costs by 33%.Practical implicationsThe proposed model offers an effective planning algorithm for the site layout and location of temporary facilities. More specifically, it can make a substantial improvement in reducing the travel time and material handling cost between the temporary facilities in the construction sites.Originality/valueThe primary knowledge contribution of this study to the site layout is successfully deal with the unequal area problem of temporary site facilities and incorporates the concept of dynamics site planning into the algorithm.

Predicting the life of part is emphasis base of Product Lifecycle Management, and is emphasis progress of modern product design. By exact and full analyze the influencing factors of real life of shaft, contribute to real life and design life coincidence of shaft. It can decrease property damage with product ahead of schedule failure. By comparative analysis and analytical method researched the influencing factors of shaft in used . The life predicting model of reality use is discussed and amended at present. It draws a reasonable predicting model of fatigue life. The model includes influencing factors of all in actual and decrease the error of predicting life compare with the life of real. It will establish the base of design of anti-fatigue of shaft.

The slug test is still one of the simplest and cost-effective methods to interpret the hydraulic parameters for aquifer analysis. This study introduces two new estimation approaches for the slug test, the time shift method (TSM) and arc-length matching method (AMM), to identify aquifer parameters in a reliable and accurate manner, which was established on the idea that any change in the normalized drawdown or arc-length measurements of the data curve at the predefined drawdown levels is linked with the variation of storativity. These approaches remove the need for superimposition of the type curves and the field data. The proposed methods are straightforward to apply and automatize the parameter estimation process. TSM and AMM were tested with a number of numerical experiments including synthetically generated data augmented with random noise, hypothetical slug tests conducted in a heterogeneous rock-fracture system, and well-known real field data. The skin effect was also implemented to evaluate its impact on the estimation performance of the suggested approaches. The results verified that both proposed methods are able to produce estimates of hydraulic parameters more accurately than existing methods. The proposed methods could serve as a viable supplementary interpretation tool for slug test analysis.
