During epidemic outbreak it is hard to continue formal leaning and training routines specially when whole world is facing corona virus fistula. It is crucial to identify and share the best practices and innovations to enable teaching and learning to take place during outbreak juncture. This will reinforce the basis for more sustainable and balanced schooling solutions as the crisis decreases. The biggest solution to cuts of schools is to plunge into cyberspace and distance learning, establishing a symbiosis between humans and the computers. Ideally, specific contents, learning outcomes, and a set of instructions are desirable. Use various media and technology, students can learn more in different ways and obtain varying results at various levels. Technologies can be compared along several characteristics. These features form a foundation for evaluating emerging innovations, seeing where they fit into the current environment and determining their potential benefits and limitations. Today, technology appears to become more communicative and richer in media, thereby giving educators and students powerful resources to achieve desired learning outcomes.

The goal of this article is to identify and share the best practices and innovations to enable teaching and learning to take place during times of VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex, and Ambiguous) such as the coronavirus pandemic. This will help lay the foundations for more inclusive and equitable approaches to education when the crisis subsides. The main response to school closures is to dive headlong into academic cyberspace and remote learning, creating a human-machine symbiosis. Ideally, specific contents, learning outcomes, and a set of instructions are desirable. Different media and technologies can be used to assist students to learn in different ways and achieve different outcomes, thus also individualizing learning more. Technologies can be compared along several characteristics. These characteristics form a basis for analyzing new technologies, to see where they fit within the existing environment, and to evaluate their potential benefits and limitations. Nowadays, technologies have a tendency to become more ‘communicative’ and ‘media rich’, thus offering educators and students powerful tools to attain desired learning outcomes.

Teamwork skills are key feature for Information Technology (IT) specialists. The university IT curriculum contains both IT specific courses, and comprehensive courses. Due to limited amount of the learning courses and efficient achievement of learning goals, it is necessary to look for opportunities to integrate activities developing social and communication skills courses into IT specific courses. Managing the teamwork that is close to practice, it is necessary to solve the problems of teaching and learning organisation, and assessment of individual learning outcomes and competences. In Liepāja University, the student teamwork has been managed for several years as integral part of Software Engineering courses and study projects. The course management system Moodle has been used in learning process providing possibilities to evaluate both assignments submitted by students and their learning behaviour. The current paper describes and analyses the experience of academic staff of Liepāja University.

The bourgeoning and rapid evolution of cloud-based applications has triggered profound transformations in the audiovisual translation (AVT) mediascape. By drawing attention to the major changes that web-based ecosystems have introduced in localisation workflows, we set out to outline ways in which these new technological advances can be embedded in the AVT classroom. Along these lines, the present study sets out to explore the potential benefits of cloud platforms in AVT training curricula by exploring ways in which this technology can be exploited in subtitling training. An analysis of current subtitling practices and tools, localisation workflows, and in-demand skills in the AVT industry will be followed by an experience-based account on the use of cloud-based platforms in subtitler training environments to simulate and carry out a wide range of tasks. Our study pivots around the idea that cloud subtitling might prove useful to bridge the technological gap between academic institutions and the profession as well as to enhance the distance-learning provision of practice-oriented training in subtitling.

Online facilitation in distance education presents many challenges that involve both the learners and instructors. Through these challenges, the roles tutors' play and their best practices used in online facilitation should be looked into to improve the distance-learning experience. In view of this, this chapter attempted to examine the perspectives of experienced tutors engaged in the university's virtual learning environment, WawasanLearn. Based on the interview findings of eight tutors, several emergent findings highlighted the roles and challenges of effective online facilitation. As this research is based on the guidelines of the prominent Salmon's model, the findings also highlighted antecedents that substantiate best practices of online facilitation. Findings indicated that understanding the dynamics of online facilitation among relevant stakeholders is critical to improve the teaching and learning experience in distance education.

Abstract This research was based on the teaching and learning process now in the education and training field which most of it still tends to be done conventionally. Learning through E-learning can overcome the constraints of space and time. Widyaiswara (Instructor) and training participants can make the learning process both synchronous (direct), and asynchronous (indirectly) through the virtual world. This study is intended to describe the influence of LMS Schoology in improving the learning outcomes of English Training participants in Religious Education and Training Center (BDK) Surabaya. Formulation of the problem “Is there a significant and positive influence on the use of LMS Schoology on Improving Learning Outcomes of English Teacher Training Participants?” The research method used is pre-experimental one group pretest-postets with regression analysis. Regression analysis is used to find out how much influence the independent variable has on the increase in the dependent variable. The results showed that after teaching and learning process was carried out with the LMS Schoology application media there is a significant and positive influence on the use of LMS Schoology to increase the learning outcomes of English Teacher Training participants and the amount of the influence of the LMS Schoology usage variable on the increase participant learning outcomes is 77.4%. That is, the effect of LMS Schoology on the learning outcomes of training participants is 77.4%. Keywords: E-learning, LMS Schoology, learning outcomes

The main priority of providing education during Covid-19 pandemic to prioritize health and safety of students, educators, education staff, families, and the community in general, as well as considering the growth of the students and their psycho social conditions. The continuity of teaching and learning process that is not carried out in the school has potential to have a long lasting negative impact. Anticipating the negative consequences and issues of distance learning, SMA Negeri 1 Kota Depok, according to government guidelines, has implemented two new policies for limited Face-to-face learning and an emergency curriculum ( under special conditions). During the Covid-19 pandemic, online and offline learning must be done side by side. On the other hand the student learning outcomes are expected have good final result. The writer conducted Classroom Action Research as an effort to improve students' learning outcomes during the Covid-19 pandemic by using Blended Learning method which combine Face-to face learning method with distance learning. Based on the cycle 1 and cycle 2, there were found that Blended learning can improve students' learning outcomes in Mathematics subject for 12 graders of Science subject at SMAN 1 Kota Depok.
