Radio is a traditionally popular medium that still has its continuous and stable listenership. The digital age has endowed it with new technical and technological possibilities and multimedia, including a big breakthrough of digital audio broadcasting (DAB+). The Republic of Croatia is one of the leading European road trip destinations. Most of the tourists reach Croatia by car, which allows them to use their own vehicles for excursions during their holidays. Almost half of the population of the European Union is still in the habit of listening to the radio while driving. Therefore, radio stations, particularly those based in Adriatic Croatia, should not be left out from the endeavours to achieve the best possible results in the sector of tourism. The paper presents the findings of a qualitative survey that was conducted during January and February 2021 at radio stations whose headquarters are in this area (N=49). The aim of the research was to determine the current engagement of radio in the production of content intended for domestic and foreign tourists, the modalities and dynamics of cooperation with tourism entities in the field of broadcasting and the potential use of radio in the post-Covid tourist season. Twenty-eight radio editors (56%) responded to the survey. All of them consider radio to be a good medium for tourist promotion, yet the findings indicate a lack of offer of news and promotional tourist content. The most common reasons are unfavourable financial and personnel circumstances. With the synergy between tourist entities and radio stations, radio could prove to be a reliable business partner.

Dehydrated pitted apricots are widely used as a ready meal ingredient, which renders control of their quality and safety a relevant issue. Pitted apricots are rich in sugars, moisture and organic acids that serve a good medium for microorganisms. Therefore, these products require presale processing. Microwave treatment proved effective for the processing of raw and finished food products. Its impact on microorganisms depends on variant criteria, including taxonomic affiliation, total counts, dielectric cell properties and the treatment dose. The research aimed to study death kinetics in the native dried apricot surface microflora and its growth during subsequent storage. In this respect, we have studied the microwave treatment impact on dried apricot surface microflora depending on treatment dose and determined the residual microflora growth rate during subsequent storage. The doses of 120, 180 and 240 kJ at a 200 W radiation power have been shown to reduce baseline contamination of dehydrated pitted apricots by three orders of magnitude. Statistical kinetics analyses demonstrated a retarded surface microflora growth during subsequent storage. Microwave doses of 120–240 kJ (accounting for ±0.4 lg CFU/g error) exhibited a similar microflora dynamics in subsequent storage. The exposure of dried apricots to a lowest microwave field of 120 kJ ensured stability of the product microbiological dynamics.

Petrologic investigations of the sixty representative thin sections from the Pab Formation within Rakhi Gorge section Eastern Sulaiman Range Pakistan have been used to characterize different diagenetic patterns, identification of primary composition and reservoir characters. Sublithic, lithic and quartzose sandstones have been the principal constituents of the formation. The processes responsible for the late-stage alteration and diagenetic processes identified during the petrographic study include compaction of lithic fragments and mud clasts, formation of quartz overgrowth structures, feldspar replacement and alteration, cementation, and replacement of grains by clay minerals other ferrous elements and diagenetic minerals. The study shows that the initial porosity has been primary intergranular, but the secondary porosity has been originated in the rocks as a result of the alteration of the primary and secondary constituents, as well as fracturing. These facies characters replicate the reservoir quality including, good, medium, low-quality, and non-reservoir. Samples displaying average total porosity greater than 10 % have been declared as good quality. While rocks samples having 7 % or greater porosity are grouped as a medium reservoir. Those samples consisting of porosity values between 1 and 4% are considered as a low quality reservoir while those samples having porosity ranges low than 1% have been called non-reservoir. Based on the investigated parameters the studied samples from the Pab Formation displayed the characters of a medium reservoir that may hold significant hydrocarbon. This different quality including good and low quality zonation can be attributed to the facies and diagenetic change in the formation.

Background: Milk is a highly nutritious food that serves as an excellent growth good medium for microorganisms. Converting milk into milk powder increases its shelf life and can be stored for extended period (about 1 year) without substantial loss of quality even at ambient temperatures. Methods: The current investigation was undertaken with the aim of evaluating the quality of milk powder in Kashmir division for characterizing its physico-chemical and adulteration profile. Since all the dried milk is imported in the valley, it is important to ascertain its quality. For this purpose, whole valley was divided into three zones namely north, south and central. The physiochemical properties and adulteration profile of all the milk powder samples, collected from three zones (north, center, south) were determined. Result: The physiochemical properties of all the milk powder samples were to be of approved quality, irrespective of the brand and class. Adulteration profile of milk powder was seen to match completely to the standards. Milk powder should be free from all the adulterants to ensure its safe and wholesome consumption to consumers. A very few samples were found positive to alkaline neutralizer.

Abstract Introduction A systematic review published in 2017 concluded that ‘kissing’ iliac stents to treat occlusive disease of the aortic bifurcation was associated with high technical procedural success and good medium-term patency. We have explored this in a regional vascular unit. Methods Retrospective review of patients managed with endovascular treatment of aorto-iliac segment (March 2015 to September 2020). The median follow-up was 2-years. Key outcome variables included the patency of the reconstruction and requirement for secondary intervention. Results There were 1,348 iliac endovascular procedures performed for occlusive atherosclerotic arterial disease of the aorto-iliac segment of which 56 were ‘kissing’ iliac stents. Intervention was performed for chronic limb threatening ischaemia in 29 cases. In 37 cases patients had unilateral symptoms only and in 41 cases patients had either TASC A or B lesions. Technical success was achieved in 55 cases and the median duration of admission was 1-day. At follow-up there was clinical patency in 54 cases, although there were 3 major extremity amputations performed (all on the index admission). Conclusion As with much of the work on ‘kissing’ iliac stents the number of patients is small and the group of patients variable in terms of medical co-morbidity, presenting clinical features and morphology of iliac disease. The procedure appears to have high technical success and can be achieved with little in the way of major morbidity. Medium term durability is good.

Abstract: Evolution and modernization have brought about progress in technology and this has led to the reduction in privacy & internet security due to an increase in cybercrime and threats. As a result of this turn of events, Cryptography is now being used as a means of keeping information of any kind safe from third party individual(s). Research has shown that with the Encryption of information, third party individual(s) have no chance or less chance of getting past this security measure. Hence, Cryptographers keep improving algorithms to make it impossible for a third party to decrypt this information without the key which is where database Privacy and Security come in. The database contains all the information which is a major asset, there are encryptions which can be used at different levels to provide security. Lastly, for encryption algorithms which are breached by unknown third-party individual(s), the zero knowledge of proof helps to figure out the identity of this individual. They are an extremely interesting and useful construct. They are fascinating because of their definition, which is mutually opposed, their applicability is very vast in cryptography; they are used to restrict the malevolent users to work according to the protocol. Zero-knowledge serve as a good medium to understand the problems regarding cryptographic protocols. Keywords: Cipher, Encryption, Decryption, Key, Security, Database, Zero-Knowledge

Accidents involving pedestrians often result in serious injury or death. The main goal of this conducted research is to evaluate selected devices that will help reduce the speed of vehicles on pedestrian crossings. Many devices from a group of “speed control measures” and “mid block tools” (refugee islands, speed tables, and raised pedestrian crossings) are examined to find the most effective ones. In our research, the range of reduction of a vehicle’s speed is used as a main measure of effectiveness, but a wider statistical analysis was conducted as well. One of the results of the research is the identification of three categories of devices referred to as high effectives (good), medium effectives (intermediate), and low or lack of effectives (bad). The content of the paper starts by highlighting the reasons to reduce the vehicle’s speed on pedestrian crossings (as an introduction). Next, we present the description of devices used to reduce the vehicle’s speed with a presentation of the research of their effectiveness. The studies that have been conducted are described in the following chapters: first, the characteristic of method and location, second, with discussion, the results of research and identification of the three categories of devices. The paper is then summarized by conclusions and comments. The research only covered the issues of road traffic engineering. The research was made in Poland, but the conclusions could be useful worldwide due to similar traffic rules and technical solutions.
