The aims of this study were: (1) to discover the target needs of higher education students, (2) to discover the learning needs of higher education students, and (3) to build-up a suitable digital story of Banten Folktales for higher education students. This was a Research and Development (R&D) study. The research procedure, adjusted from ADDIE model proposed by Taylor (2004), comprised of conducting the needs analysis, designing a course grid and a storyboard, developing the first draft of the digital story, evaluating the first draft, and producing the final draft. The instruments to collect the data were needs analysis questionnaire and correspondent survey questionnaires. The information from the needs analysis was analyzed quantitatively using frequency and rate, and after that the comes about were utilized as the premise to create the course grid and storyboard. The quantitative data from the correspondent survey was analyzed through descriptive statistics while the comments and suggestions were used to revise the first draft to be the final product of the digital story. The developed product was valid and appropriate after being evaluated in correspondent review phase in terms of its content and design with  the average score 4.69 categorized as very highly valid.

This research aimed at developing Instructional materials for the second semester students in economy faculty of Panji Sakti University. This research was a Research and Development (R & D) study. The type of the research was 4D model The steps of this study were: (1)Define,(2) Design, (3)Develop, and (3)Disseminate. In the “Define” step, There were two questionnaires employed in the research: (1) needs analysis questionnaire (2) expert judgment questionnaire. The needs analysis questionnaire was distributed to the students to identify the target needs and the learning needs of the students. The expert judgment questionnaire was used to evaluate the material. The data from the needs analysis questionnaire were analyzed using frequency and percentage and the results were then used as the basis to design and develop the materials, while the data from the expert judgment questionnaire were analyzed using descriptive statistics. Based on the findings from the materials evaluation, the content, the language, the presentation, and the layout of the materials are appropriate. The mean score of all aspects of the developed materials was 4.18. This indicates that the developed material is categorized as excellence material.

The distance education model has become the most common educational model used around the world due to the COVID-19 pandemic that emerged in China at the end of 2019. In North Cyprus (NC), traditional face-to-face education had been resumed through online channels. The rapid shift to online channels has not only caused distress among students who do not have experience with using in online education systems, but also caused many problems to surface in terms of access to education. This study aims to explore the attitudes and views of higher education students in NC regarding the distance education implemented during the COVID-19 pandemic in the 2020–2021 educational year. In this quantitative study, the survey method was used. A random sampling approach was used for determining the study group, which was formed of 470 volunteer higher education students. According to the analysis of the data collected from the students, it was determined that they received an average score of x̅=82.52±19.50 points from the overall Attitudes Regarding the Use of Distance Education Environments During the Pandemic (ASRUDEEDP) scale, x̅=23.03±7.21 from the competence and education sub-dimension, x̅=26.36±5.81 from the practicality sub-dimension, x̅=18.20±4.83 points from the efficiency sub-dimension, and x̅=14.93±4.12 from the satisfaction sub-dimension. It was identified that there were no differences in the scores according to the age group, grade, or Internet use durations (p>0.05) but the scores of male students were observed to be higher than those of female in the sub-dimensions of competence and motivation as well as practicality within the ASRUDEEDP.

This research is a quantitative descriptive study that aims to analyze the level of need for teaching materials in the form of Student Worksheets (LKM) in vector analysis courses. The method used refers to the analyze stage of the ADDIE development model. The results showed 83% of teaching materials were text books and sources of information from the internet, 80% of students were happy and enthusiastic in learning vector concepts. However, 83% of respondents experienced difficulties in learning vector concepts because the material was classified as abstract and problem solving problems in vector concepts needed high reasoning. Analysis of teaching material requirements shows that there is a need for Student Worksheets (MFIs) based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) to teach vector concepts so that the concepts are easily understood. Learning in the COVID-19 pandemic era requires practical teaching materials that are easily accessible to students. Digital teaching materials are alternative solutions to accommodate online learning needs. This study aimed to produce digital teaching materials using Microsoft Office 365 Sway in the era of the COVID-19 pandemic. This was development research and the ADDIE model was used, which consists of five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation. The sample consisted of 242 students in Elementary School Teacher Education at the University of Muhammadiyah Malang. The results of the validation tests for teaching materials experts, material experts, and linguists showed that the average score obtained was 81.8 with valid criteria. The average score obtained by the students with very practical criteria was 3.6. User responses showed that students were interested in, and easily accessed teaching materials via URL, and digital teaching materials were equipped with videos, animations, pictures and graphic information to support lecture materials. The aim of this study was to develop appropriate autonomous learning materials of structure and written expression of TOEFL preparation for autonomous learners for the Centre for Language and Development of Yogyakarta State University based on the learning needs and target needs of the autonomous learners. The research was an educational research and development (R&D) adapting ADDIE model (Branch, 2009). Two instruments (questionnaire and test) for needs analysis and two instruments for validation were used. The data from the needs analysis and the material validation were analyzed quantitatively through descriptive statistics. The research findings revealed that the autonomous learning materials were appropriate in terms of input, learning activities, layout, design and organization. The learners’ role is to learn the materials individually and teacher's role is to be a guide and cooperator. All of the learning activities include reading of explanations of forms and functions, doing practices for forms and functions, multiple choice, and doing reflection. Every unit has the following organizing unit title, instructions for learners, grammatical form and functions, activities of forms, functions, and TOEFL tests items, online activities for further learning, learning essentials, reflection, self-test (TOEFL) and answer keys.
