    This research is a quantitative descriptive study that aims to analyze the level of need for teaching materials in the form of Student Worksheets (LKM) in vector analysis courses. The method used refers to the analyze stage of the ADDIE development model. The results showed 83% of teaching materials were text books and sources of information from the internet, 80% of students were happy and enthusiastic in learning vector concepts. However, 83% of respondents experienced difficulties in learning vector concepts because the material was classified as abstract and problem solving problems in vector concepts needed high reasoning. Analysis of teaching material requirements shows that there is a need for Student Worksheets (MFIs) based on Problem Based Learning (PBL) to teach vector concepts so that the concepts are easily understood. The research is the development of Agricultural English teaching materials at Universitas Muslim Indonesia. The purposes of this research are to (1) produce a type of Agricultural English teaching material suitable to be used by the students of Faculty of Agriculture UMI and to (2) discover why the students are learning English. The method used is research and development. The research site was at the Faculty of Agriculture UMI with the number of 50 respondents. The results showed that based on the student responses, 12 out of 42 topics occupy the highest percentage needed for Agricultural English teaching materials. Those 12 topics are as follows: rice, tomatoes, chili,  shallots, eggplant, papaya, rambutan, coconut, coffee, land, disease pest, and seeds. Then, the purposes of the students learning English can be categorized into two major groups, namely to anticipate competition in the workplace where the ability to communicate both oral and written is needed and to prepare themselves in the academic field both to complete S1 (undergraduate degree)  and to continue their studies S2 (master degree).

This study aims to describe teaching materials based on local wisdom in fostering a character of environmental care in students. Local wisdom can be interpreted as a local culture that guides life. The problem in this study refers to the teaching materials used by teachers based on local wisdom in fostering character in students. The method used for this research is qualitative by using observation, interview, and documentation techniques. The results of the analysis of teaching material needs based on local wisdom are analyzing teaching materials for class V SD which includes aspects of mapping Core Competencies and Basic Competencies. In conclusion, analyzing the need for local wisdom-based teaching materials, such as teaching materials that have a variety of materials that can be integrated with local wisdom, can activate students in learning, the need to develop teaching materials based on local wisdom.

This study aims to develop accounting teaching materials and to see the feasibility of teaching materials in improving the quality of classroom learning on the subject matter of the accounting cycle of service companies. This research is a development research adapted from the ADDIE model. There are 5 stages, namely: 1. Analysis (Analysis), 2. Design (Design), 3. Development (Development), 4. Implementation (Implementation), 5. Evaluation (Evaluation). Validation was carried out by material experts, media experts and assessments from class X accounting students of Ar-Rahman Medan Private Vocational School. Based on the assessment of material 1 on the feasibility of teaching materials for accounting books, the average score is 3.87 with the "Eligible" category, and the material expert orders 2 obtained an average score of 4.20 in the "Eligible" category, an indication of media experts is obtained on average. amounting to 4.00 in the "Eligible" category. Students' assumptions about accounting book teaching materials show an average of 4.45 with the category "Very Appropriate". Thus, the teaching material for the Accounting Service Company Cycle book is declared "Feasible" to be used as an accounting learning medium in improving the quality of learning.

The course for developing teaching materials is a subject that must be taken by educational students. Students as prospective teachers must be able to make good quality teaching materials so that learning can run effectively and efficiently. In the course of developing instructional materials, students are required to be able to produce a print teaching material that is appropriate for use by students. Teaching materials can be said to be of good quality and appropriate if it is in accordance with the learning objectives that must be achieved by students. This research is a descriptive study with an analysis of teaching materials that have been developed by students through project-based learning. The results of the study can be seen that the quality of teaching materials that have been developed along with the cognitive abilities of students master the material of teaching material development subjects. Good quality teaching materials indicate mastery in cognitive abilities as well. Keywords: development, teaching material, project-based learning

This article presents a part of a study conducted to develop multimedia based teaching material for Grammar 3. It aims at describing needs and problems of students in learning Grammar 3 through a descriptive study. The data were gathered from the questionnaires distributed to the students who have taken Grammar 3 course. The result of the research conveys that 1) there is a gap between the objective of Grammar 3 course and the students’ achievement in the class, 2) students get the problems in understanding Grammar 3 due to inappropriate teaching materials used in teaching and learning process, and 3) the students need a multimedia based teaching materials to improve their understanding and achievement in Grammar 3 course.Key words/phrases:teaching material development, multimedia, need analysis, Grammar 3 APAKAH MAHASISWA MEMBUTUHKAN MATERI AJAR GRAMMAR 3 BERBASIS MULTIMEDIA?AbstrakArtikel ini merupakan salah satu bagian dari rangkaian penelitian pengembangan materi ajar Grammar 3 berbasis multimedia. Oleh karena itu, data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang disebar kepada seluruh mahasiswa yang telah mengambil mata kuliah Grammar 3. The content of the Pre-service Primary Teacher Education Study Program of FKIP Untan has provided students with mastery of scientific substance in preparing thematic learning teaching materials for 2013 Curriculum. The study aimed to describe the ability of Primary teacher Education students to prepare thematic learning teaching materials for 2013 curriculum. The research was a qualitative descriptive study. The subjects of this study were students of the PPL Regular Program class 2017. The data source in this study was the teaching material documents constructed by students. The research procedure used the stages of planning, implementing, analyzing data, and writing reports. Data collection techniques used document study techniques with data collection tools in the form of teaching material documents. The research data analysis was carried out by following the data analysis flow developed by Miles and Hubberman (1992: 15-20). The analysis activity begins with data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion/verification. The ability of students to construct 2013 thematic learning teaching materials was very good. It can be seen from the percentage of results achieved, namely 87.50% (7 students) obtained scores in the range 81-100 and only 12.50 (1 student) scored in the range 61-80. For every aspect assessed, the average student ability was also good. It can be seen from the percentage achieved, namely 58.33% (7 aspects) obtained scores in the range 81-100 and 41.67 (5 aspects) obtained scores in the range 61-80.

The needs analysis cannot be separated from the development of materials and curriculum design for language learning, especially ESP. The research about ESP, especially the topic of need analysis still needs to be explored. Thus, this research aims to identify language skills needed and develop English teaching materials at Politeknik Gihon. The subjects of this study were 45 ongoing students and six former students. The result of the study revealed the perceptions of the students’ needs for their current studies and future career and how the English material should be designed in this institution. This study contributes in developing the teaching material and proposed a redesigned of ESP course.

This study aims to develop a value-based teaching material for Citizenship Education (PKn) together with the local wisdom of the Minangkabau community to build the national character of the fifth grade students of Elementary School. The research conducted is research and development with the ADDIE research model which is an acronym in English from the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. By participating in the development stage of the ADDIE model, teaching material development is carried out by combining the values of togetherness found in the local wisdom of the Minangkabau community in a single unit of learning material. Data obtained from the validation of teaching materials, classroom learning practices, and the effectiveness of learning from student learning outcomes. The results of this study indicate that the development of Pkn teaching materials based on the values of togetherness of the Minangkabau community has been successfully carried out based on data on the validity, practicality, and effectiveness of teaching materials in learning in Class V of Elementary School.Keywords: Development Research, Minangkabau, PKn, SD Togetherness Value.

This research came up from the unavailability of the physics teaching materials containing the local wisdom of Tabalong Regency society, South Kalimantan, and the less optimal character education in the learning process. Therefore, the research and development on the physics teaching materials based on the local wisdom of Tabalong regency, South Kalimantan to train saraba kawa character were conducted. The objective of this study was to produce feasible physics teaching materials integrated with the local wisdom based on the aspects of validity, practicality, effectivity, and character achievement. This research type is a research and development using ADDIE model. The subjects of the try out were 36 grade X students of MIPA in 4 SMA Negeri 2 Tanjung Tabalong Regency. The instruments used in this study were validation sheet, response questionnaire, student achievement results, and character observation sheet. The results showed that: (1) the validity of the teaching materials based on its content and appearance was in a good category, (2) the practicality of the teaching material categorized as very practical, (3) the effectiveness of the medium categorized as very practical, (4) and the achievement of saraba kawa character categorized as very good. It concluded that the physics teaching materials based on the local wisdom to train saraba kawa character is feasible for physics learning.

This research aims to develop guided inquiry based teaching materials which is valid, practical, and effective to facilitate the students’ scientific literacy. The development of teaching material used the 4D model  and was tested in grade 7th-D of SMP GEMA 45 in the second semester of  2014/2015 by using the Pre-Experimental One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The data collection used documentation observation, test, and quetionnaires. The data analysis techniques used quantitative descriptive analysis.The results of this research are:1) Teaching material developed is valid categorised  to be use consisted of Syllabus, Lesson Plan, Student Worksheet, Student Book and Test of student learning outcomes; 2) The practicality of teaching material in terms of a good category in feasibility of lesson plans, the students’ activities in accordance with  inquiry model and students give a positive responses toward teaching material and implementation of teaching material developed; and 3) The teaching material effectiveness in terms of: (a) Improving students’ learning achievement seen from the individual and classical completeness; (b) Improving students’ scientific literacy by getting gain score between middle until high category. Based on data analyzed the teaching materials based on guided inquiry are valid, practical, and effective to facilitate the students’ scientific literacy. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan perangkat pembelajaran berbasis inkuiri terbimbing yang layak (valid, praktis, dan efektif) untuk melatih literasi sains siswa. Pengembangan perangkat pembelajaran menggunakan model 4D  dan diujicobakan di kelas VII-D SMP GEMA 45 semester genap tahun ajaran 2014/2015 dengan One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode dokumentasi, observasi, tes, dan angket. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan,: 1) Perangkat pembelajaran yang dikembangkan berkategori valid; 2) Perangkat pembelajaran berketagori praktis ditinjau dari keterlaksanaan RPP, aktivitas siswa sesuai dengan tahap-tahap model inkuiri, dan siswa merespon positif perangkat yang dikembangkan dan implementasinya; serta 3) Perangkat pembelajaran telah efektif ditinjau dari: (a) Peningkatan pengetahuan siswa (b) Peningkatan literasi sains  siswa. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan bahwa perangkat pembelajaran berbasis  inkuiri terbimbing yang dikembangkan valid, praktis, dan efektif untuk melatih literasi sains siswa sehingga layak untuk digunakan.
