Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) sebagai pengatur kecepatan motor DC telah digunakan secara luas di dunia industri. Kecepatan putar motor dikontrol dengan mengatur duty cycle PWM yang dibangkitkan oleh mikrokontroler arduino. Pada penelitian ini pengaturan nilai PWM dilakukan melalui program (sketch) ke arduino uno. Output dari PWM dihubungkan pada arduino melalui pin output analog. Dengan pengamatan menggunakan osiloskop dapat diketahui bahwa perubahan nilai ton dan toff menentukan nilai RPM dari motor DC yang dikontrol. Sehingga dengan menggunakan nilai PWM yang berbeda, variasi kecepatan motor DC juga berubah-ubah. Nilai PWM yang digunakan yaitu kelipatan 10 dari 25 hingga 255. Diperoleh hasil pengamatan berupa Ton dan Toff yang tertera pada osiloskop dan hasil pengamatan tersebut diolah untuk mengetahui duty cycle yang kemudian dibandingankan dengan PWM dan RPM nya. Sehingga dapat diketahui bahwa semakin besar nilai PWM maka RPM motor DC juga akan semakin besar, dan semakin besar nlai PWM yang diberikan, maka nilai duty cycle yang dihasilkan juga akan semakin besar

This paper presents an implementation of a microcontroller based boost converter to maintain constant speed of a DC motor. The optimised values namely kp,ki,kd  of the  Boost Converter  are taken from firefly algorithm[10] and implemented using microcontroller. Pulse width modulation (PWM) is a procedure to generate changeable pulse width with different duty cycle. The PWM signal reduces the switching losses. This paper presents a DC motor speed controller where PID Controller is used where the optimized values of kp,ki,kd are taken from firefly algorithm[10]. The PWM pulse width will alter the speed of the motor.  The motor voltage and revolutions per seconds (RPS) obtained at different duty cycle rates. With increase in duty cycle, further voltage is applied to the motor. This gives stronger magnetic flux in the armature windings and to enhance revolutions per seconds. The characteristics and concert of the DC motor speed control system was discussed. In this paper, a PIC microcontroller is designed with a DC-DC boost converter for the motor speed controller system. Finally to improve the graphical result we design the hardware in loop method using matlab.

The World

Research on nanofiber materials is actively done around the world today. Various types of nanofibers have been synthesized using an electrospinning technique. The most important component when synthesizing nanofibers using the electrospinning technique is a DC high voltage power supply. Some requirements must be fulfilled by the high voltage power supply, i.e., it must be adjustable and its output voltage reaches tens of kilovolts. This paper discusses the design and development of a high voltage power supply using a diode-split transformer (DST)-type high voltage flyback transformer (HVFBT). The DST HVFBT was chosen because of its simplicity, compactness, inexpensiveness, and easiness of finding it. A pulse-width modulation (PWM) circuit with controlling frequency and duty cycle was fed to the DST HVFBT. The high voltage power supply was characterized by the frequency and duty cycle dependences of its output voltage. Experimental results showed that the frequency and duty cycle affect the output voltage. The output voltage could be set from 1 to 18 kV by changing the duty cycle. Therefore, the nanofibers could be synthesized by employing the developed high voltage power supply.

Pulse width modulation (PWM) is used to generate pulses with variable duty cycle rate. The rapid rising and falling edges of PWM signal minimises the switching transition time and the associated switching losses. This paper presents a DC motor speed controller system using PWM technique. The PWM duty cycle is used to vary the speed of the motor by controlling the motor terminal voltage.The motor voltage and revolutions per minutes (RPM) obtained at different duty cycle rates. As the duty cycle increases, more voltage is applied to the motor. This contributes to the stronger magnetic flux inside the armature windings and the increasethe RPM. The characteristics and performance of the DC motor speed control system was investigated. In this paper, a PIC microcontroller and a DC-DC buck converter are employed in the DC motor speed controller system circuit. The microcontroller provides flexibility to the circuit by incorporating two push button switches in order to increase and to decrease the duty cycle rate. The characteristics and performance of the motor speed controller system using microcontroller was examined at different duty cycle rate ranging from 19% to 99%.

This study aims to create a PWM inverter that can drive the Brushless Unidirectional Flow Machine (MASTS). PWM inverters are intended to correct deficiencies in six-step inverters. Inverter is a circuit that is used to convert a DC voltage source into an AC voltage with a certain frequency. The use of inverters is found in electric vehicles. The system often used to control an inverter is a Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) based control, where pulse width is used to regulate speed. The inverter is tested using 3 pairs of mosfets as a switch to control the three-phase output of the inverter. In the inverter, PWM is used to adjust the width of the frequency pulse that will be given to the mosfet. This research used 3 variations of duty cycle 30%, 60%, 90% to determine the effect of MASTS speed on PWM by using a PWM inverter. The results of this study the speed of MASTS can be influenced by changes in duty cycle, with increasing value of the duty cycle, the faster the speed of MASTS, and vice versa. Keywords:Mosfet, Sensor Hall, MASTS, PWM, Inverter.

Inverter merupakan sebuah konverter yang mengubah sebuah masukan arus searah menjadi arus bolak-balik. Dalam beberapa bentuk inverter tegangan keluaran arus bolak balik tersebut dapat dikendalikan besar magnitud dan frekuensinya. Penggunaan inverter dapat berupa catu daya untuk pengaturan kecepatan motor ac, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS) dan alat konversi tenaga listrik dari baterai. Pada penelitian ini, inverter yang dirancang menggunakan topologi full bridge. Topologi ini memiliki keunggulan berupa magnitud tegangan keluaran maksimum yang sama dengan tegangan magnitud tegangan arus searah yang menjadi tegangan masukannya. Dengan tegangan masukan yang sama, topologi full bridge memiliki daya yang lebih besar dibandingkan inverter topologi lainnya. IC SG3524 digunakan sebagai pembangkit sinyal PWM (Pulse Width Modulation). Inverter full bridge dalam penelitian ini dirancang untuk dapat divariasikan besar frekuensi dan duty cyclenya. Frekuensi dari inverter dirancang untuk beroperasi dalam rentang 19 Hz – 65 Hz dan duty cycle 11 % - 44 %. Berdasarkan hasil pengujian Inverter full bridge menghasilkan gelombang kotak keluaran arus bolak balik. Efisiensi inverter full bridge mencapai nilai terendah sebesar 81,56% dan nilai tertinggi sebesar 99,53%  ketika dibebani lampu pijar dengan daya 40, 60, dan 100 W. Efisiensi inverter ketika dibebani motor induksi mencapai nilai 86,55 % sebagai nilai efisiensi terendah dan 98,35% sebagai nilai efisiensi tertinggi.

Ozonizer is a method used for sterilization and food preservation by utilizing ozone produced from plasma discharge. The effective way of obtaining ozone is to use dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma. The manufacture of a controlled ozonizer chamber system is important to result in effective and efficient performance. The aim of this study is to design and optimize the ozone chamber parameter using pulse width modulation (PWM). The system design is added with the Arduino Mega 2560 microcontroller and the L296N motor driver as an ozone generator radiation controller by changing the pulse width modulation to determine the ozone levels produced. The experimental results show that the ozone concentration increases by 50 % on average with increasing variations of the 10 % duty cycle (PWM) and the ignition time length. The optimum value is achieved on a 70 % duty cycle for 60 - 300 seconds, where the ozone level of 3 ppm is obtained and sustained for fruits/vegetables sterilization and preservation application.
