The article discusses non-contact thermal imaging methods for determining diseases of biological objects: video digital identification and thermography. When studying inflammatory processes in the body of a biological object using thermograms, one should refuse to register only the native thermal picture, which is static, and it is imperative to assess its dynamics. If a series of thermograms shows local changes in the thermal picture in the form of an increase or decrease in infrared radiation in those areas and at the time that were supposed, only in this case it is possible to speak unambiguously about the objectivity of thermal imaging information. Creation of a methodology for the application of digital analysis of video profiles of the shape and ratio of the dimensions of an object, and comparison of the results with the thermographic picture of a thermal imaging image of a functional thermal imaging of thermograms in normal conditions and with inflammation in a biological object.

: Fluoro-edenite (FE) is an asbestos-like amphibole present in the bentonitic lavas extracted from a stone quarry in Biancavilla, a village sited in the Etnean Volcanic Area (Italy). : Thoracic pathologies are the results of excessive inflammatory processes that are the early response of the immune system to inhaled fibers. As demonstrated for asbestos, fibers may trigger immune system cells in an acute and/or chronic manner. This review aims to clarify the pathways of inflammation in workers exposed to FE fibers. : Based on the articles reviewed, it seems that a permanent stimulus created by repeatedly inhaling the FE fibers and their persistence in the body can act as trigger both in promoting inflammatory processes and in immunological induction of autoimmune disease.

Modelling of unidirectional and oscillatory flows around a cylinder near a wall using an overlapping grid system is carried out. The circular grid system of the cylinder was overlapped with the rectangular grid system of the wall. The use of such an overlapping grid system is intended to reduce the CPU time compared to the cloud scheme in which vortex-to-vortex interaction is used, i.e., especially in calculating the shedding vortex velocity, since calculating the vortices velocity takes the longest CPU time. This method is not only time efficient, but also gives a better distribution of surface vorticity as the scattered vortices around the body are now concentrated on a grid point. Therefore, grid-to-grid interaction is used instead of vortex-to-vortex interaction. Velocity calculation was also carried out using this overlapping grid in which the new incremental shift position was summed up to obtain the total new vortices position. The engineering applications of this topic are to simulate the loading of submarine pipeline placed close to the seabed or to simulate the flow as a result of the scouring process below the cylinder since there is space for the fluid to flow beneath it. The in-line and transverse force coefficients are found by integrating the pressure around the cylinder surface. The flow patterns are then obtained and presented. The comparison of the results with experimental evidence is presented and the range of good results is discussed.

Two setups for X-ray visualization of objects interior structure were designed and assembled in TPU. These radiographic systems are based on linear gas-discharge and GaAs semiconductor detectors. During investigation of biological object control of radiation doses has a high priority. In this report radiation dose calculations in X-ray visualization are presented. These calculation also includes dose calculations of sinograms which are used for reconstruction of tomography slices.

Inflammation is a physiological process involved in the defenses of the body and the repair of tissues. It is acutely activated by infections, trauma, toxins, or allergic reactions. However, if it becomes chronic, inflammation can end up stimulating the development of diseases such as cardiovascular disease, autoimmune disease, neurological disease, or cancer. Additionally, during aging, inflammation becomes increasingly more chronic. Furthermore, we found that certain foods, such as saturated fats, have pro-inflammatory activity. Taking this into account, in this review we have discussed different diets with possible anti-inflammatory activity, the commonly ingested components of each diet and their active compounds. In addition, we have proposed some dietary guidelines, as well as a list of compounds present in foods with anti-inflammatory activity, outlining how to combine them to achieve optimal anti-inflammatory effects. Therefore, we can conclude that the compounds in our diet with anti-inflammatory activity could help alleviate the inflammatory processes derived from diseases and unhealthy diets, and thereby promote healthy aging.

One of the most important signals in the field of biomedicine is audio signals. Sound signals obtained from the body give us information about the general condition of the body. However, the detection of different sounds when recording audio signals belonging to the body or listening to them by doctors makes it difficult to diagnose the disease from these signals. In addition to isolating these sounds from the external environment, it is also necessary to separate their sounds from different parts of the body during the analysis. Separation of heart, lung and abdominal sounds will facilitate digital analysis, in particular. In this study, a dataset was created from the lungs, heart and abdominal sounds. MFCC (Mel Frekans Cepstrum Coefficient) coefficient data were obtained. The obtained coefficients were trained in the CNN (Convolution Neural Network) model. The purpose of this study is to classify audio signals. With this classification, a control system can be created. In this way, erroneous recordings that may occur when recording physicians' body voices will be prevented. When looking at the results, the educational success is about 98% and the test success is about 85%.

The primary factor causing periodontal damage is plaque bacteria. The etiological structure of infectious processes in the last decade has changed significantly, due to the constant evolution of microbes and the involvement of opportunistic microbes in the pathological process, which can act as commensals in the normal microflora and manifest their pathogenicity with a decrease in the body's immune status. Inflammatory processes in the oral cavity are sometimes an endogenous infection caused by the resident flora of not only the oral cavity, but also other ecosystems of the body.

Literary data on the location of the flat epithelium in the cavity of the body of the uterus are very scarce and are limited to only a few articles that interpret the atypical location of the flat epithelium or in inflammatory processes of the uterus, or in cancers of the uterus.Among the works dealing with the question of finding flat epithelium in inflammatory processes of the body of the uterus should be attributed to the work of Zeller, which appeared in 1884.In the number of works treating flat epithelial cancer of the body of the uterus, we have the reports of Piering and Gebhardt.

Psoriasis is one of the most common chronic recurrent systemic autoimmune multifactorial diseases, affected the skin, joints, internal organs and systems of the body. Despite the significant prevalence of psoriasis and a large number of studies devoted this problem there is still no single view on the pathogenesis of this dermatosis. To clear up the pathogenesis of psoriasis, it seems to be reasonable to focus on the common comorbidities or multimorbidities, which may occur in the course of psoriasis, as this issue is still insufficiently studied. Recent reports have proven the evidences of indisputable link between psoriasis and obesity. The scientific literature extensively covers the issues of identical pathogenetic mechanisms of inflammatory processes in psoriasis and obesity. Given the current data on the role of systemic inflammation underlying the development of both psoriasis and obesity, the study of molecular mechanisms of its development and in particularly the role of proinflammatory nuclear transcription factors, thiazolidinediones have been found out as pathogenetically justified medicine of choice for the therapy of these diseases. In this study, we determined the effectiveness of using 30 mg of pioglitazone daily for 6 months in the course of treatment for patients with extensive psoriasis vulgaris of moderate severity, who were also diagnosed as having concomitant grade І-ІІ alimentary obesity that was supported by clinical and immunological findings evidenced of systemic inflammation. Analyzing the results obtained, we have found out the prolonged therapy with pioglitazone leads to a decrease in systemic inflammation and contributes to a milder recurrent course of psoriasis.

Many different factors are involved in the regulation of purine metabolism. An important role is played by the level of sex hormones: high concentrations of androgens lead to a higher, and estrogen – to a lower level of uric acid. However, according to the results of numerous studies, it has been shown that the effect of sex hormones is not limited only to the uric acid concentration. Sex hormones affect inflammatory processes in the body by modulating the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines and regulating the corresponding signaling pathways. Androgen deficiency can lead to obesity and metabolic disorders, which can contribute to the development and course of gout. This review examines the effect of testosterone, as well as the effect of changes in its concentration on the dynamics of purine metabolism and gout.
