This article examines the innovative qualities of a modern higher education teacher. Currently, training has acquired many new opportunities and continues to evolve. A modern teacher in our world should easily apply the latest approaches and techniques that contribute to the expansion and enrichment of the student's consciousness. The relevance of the research is due to the fact that a modern teacher must be ready for innovation and try something new. It is such a personal characteristic as innovation that contributes to the inclusion of a person in an innovative society, not only from the position of personal adaptation in it, but also inclusion as an active participant in processes. The article presents the results of a study of the degree of expression of the factors of innovative personality traits, such as creativity, orientation towards the future and risk for the sake of success of teachers of two areas of teaching.

Approaches to the interpretation of the term "tolerance" are revealed. The preparation of the future teacher for the formation of tolerance as an important component of the system of his professional training is outlined. The organizational and pedagogical conditions of activity of the institution of higher education which provide preparation of future teachers for formation of tolerance in them are defined.

The paper reveals the features of the functioning of the institution of education in the context of trans-formation, instability and risks of personalization. Modern circumstances confirm the inevitability of planned and coordinated innovative activities of participants in the educational process at all stages in the higher education system. The student must clearly understand the purpose of educational activi-ties, analyze and assess their abilities in obtaining education, understand the degree of individual re-sponsibility to themselves, relatives and society for the learning outcomes. However, the mass character of education and the diversity of levels of basic training, intellectual capabilities, and personality traits create additional difficulties in organizing a personalized educational process. An attempt made in this work to generalize and evaluate such experi-ence will allow us to identify the positive compo-nents and identify the risks of personalization in order to minimize them in the future to increase the effectiveness of professional training.


The development of science and technology offers new forms of communication, new types of resolution of abstract and specific tasks, turning the teacher from an authoritarian translator of ready-made ideas into an inspirer of intellectual and creative potential of students. The future of the system of training, which would fit into the scheme student – technology – teacher, in which the teacher does not turn into a teacher-methodologist, technologist, and the student becomes an active participant in the learning process

The author considers the questions relating to the formation of lawyers’ professional traits from the point of view of the significance which human capital and investment in this capital hold in contemporary times. It follows from the analyses, which were carried out, that the dire need for taking up actions with the aim to shape lawyers appears one of the most vital tasks. This requires taking into account visible trends in the changing job market. Another aspect results from the need for multilevel qualifications and conditions behind lawyers’ actions and their decisions. Thus, colleges of higher education which educate prospective lawyers, as well as lawyers’ corporations, are confronted by challenges of forming, in young people, features that are indispensable for them to be valuable lawyers and not only executors of simple activities. The author points to the fact that lawyers need shaping because, among others, during their whole social lives and realization of professional tasks their personality traits and potential related to communication will constantly manifest through accepting and following or rejecting and opposing values, principles, reflexions, empathy, sensitivity, the farthest-fetched imagination, objectivism, cooperation, dialogue, distancing themselves from political disputes, etc. Students of the art of law should be characterized by a changed mentality, new vision of law – service to man, and realization of standards of law, as well as perception of the importance of knowledge, skills, attitudes and competences.

The author reveals the necessity of introducing into the educational and professional programs of preparation of masters of non-pedagogical specialties of the discipline "Didactics of higher education". Formation of pedagogical competences of the teacher of the higher school will allow the future specialists professional activity in the institutions of higher education. The article reveals the essence of didactic competence and peculiarities of its formation in higher education students in the current conditions of organizing the initial process. The competency approach should permeate all aspects of student training. Therefore, a special (didactic) competence should be included in the list of the graduates' learning outcomes. The didactic competence is the ability to apply knowledge of psychology and pedagogy (didactics) in the educational process of higher education institutions. In the orientation of the educational and professional program of the master of non-pedagogical specialties it is necessary to enter competencies that allow him to engage in teaching activities. General competences add to the ability to carry out pedagogical activities using innovative educational technologies, and special competences add to the ability to organize the educational process and carry out scientific research in order to solve topical problems of the theory, methodology, organization and practice of higher education students. One of the most important compulsory (normative) disciplines that enable the future specialist to teach special and professional disciplines in higher education institutions should be "Didactic of Higher Education". This is the main feature of forming didactic competence in higher education institutions. But the competent approach in higher education does not come down to a separate discipline, but because the phenomenon of integral and dynamic develops in the process of formal, non-formal and informal education and is in constant development and self-development. All stages of preparation of the master of non-pedagogical specialties for teaching activity should be directed on achievement of the main purpose of the educational process — formation of pedagogical competences of applicants of higher education.
