Abstract The striation plasmas are usually generated in positive column of glow discharge, in which abundant and complex physics are involved, especially, in medium or high pressures. This paper was aimed at investigating the formation and deformation of helium striation plasmas at kPa level pressures. The characteristics of helium striation plasmas, especially, the optical emission characteristics were investigated. The emission lines of 706.52 nm and 391.44 nm related to energetic electrons and high energy metastable helium atoms were focused on during the discharge process. Formation of striation plasmas in helium glow discharge, is mainly associated with the instability resulting from stepwise ionization vis high energy metastable state atoms, Maxwellization of electron distribution functions and gas heating. The deformation effect of helium striation plasmas is very significant when a small amount of nitrogen or oxygen is mixed into the discharge plasmas. The reduction of mean electron energy and the consumption of high energy metastable helium atoms are the potential reasons for deformation of striation plasmas.

The internationalization of the modern educational field correlates with the quality of training of a modern philology specialist, its competitiveness in the national and world labour market, moreover it is outlined as an urgent problem of modern education. The process of internationalization in the context of training Ukrainian philology masters is analysed in view of the urgency of rethinking approaches to the formation of the humanities in Ukraine’s modern higher education institutions. The authors aimed to describe current trends in internationalization based on the case of academic activities, mechanisms and results of internationalization of the Faculty of Philology and Journalism of Ternopil Volodymyr Hnatyuk National Pedagogical University. Theoretical methods have been used to interpret the basic provisions and concepts related to the internationalization of national higher education: analysis of scientific developments; comparison of the proposed scientific approaches; synthesis of the content of basic concepts; identification of contradictions during the process of internationalization. At the same time, the study of the peculiarities of professional training of Ukrainian philology masters in terms of internationalization is based on empirical methods: analysis of the regulatory framework; monitoring the activities of all participants in the educational process; survey of students and teachers of the Faculty of Philology and Journalism; study and generalization of the experience of the departments, the department of international relations, the scientific department, the Career Bureau, other structural subdivisions related to internationalization during the training of masters of Ukrainian philology. The systematic approach, which is the basis of the study, allows to consider the educational process (formation of masters of philology) as a dynamic, open to change and quality updates, which actively interacts with the external environment. The analysis allowed to highlight the differences between internal and external internationalization, to outline the main ways of their implementation. As a result, the influence of internationalization processes on changes in the educational activities of applicants for the second (master's) level of the Faculty of Philology and Journalism, in particular the formation of their individual trajectory of professional development. The results of empirical research indicate that the main activities of the university are the development of academic mobility of applicants, the opening of joint educational programs with foreign institutions, the development of international research. The process of internationalization is stimulated by the requirements of the labour market, competitive conditions in the educational environment. The analysis of strategies aimed at improving the level of foreign language proficiency of all participants in the educational process, motivation, methodological and organizational readiness of applicants and research and teaching staff to participate in academic mobility programs, international research projects are the prospects for further research.

With its envisioned benefits of increased productivity, enhanced decision making with digital-based tools, qualitative and efficient processes, improved life expectancy rate, etc., the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) is a desideratum for contemporary society. The need to prioritize skills and knowledge needed for the participation of Africa in the 4IR thus becomes imperative. This paper argues for indigenous knowledge systems (IKS) as a possible approach to enhance African participation in the 4IR. Consequently, the paper examines the methodical perspectives that would be appropriate for framing African Indigenous Knowledge Systems (AIKS) as a tool for advancing science and technology. It argues for the process form of ideating IKS against the content forms implicit in the various views on IKS. It is concluded that the process form of ideating IKS – which essentially focuses on the critical analysis of the systematic formations and development of IKS – unearths the epistemological basis for scientific postulations and technological advancement in Africa.

The paper deals with the investigation of natural graphite electrode materials for lithium-ion batteries. These negative electrode materials operate on the intercalation principle where graphite plays a host role for lithium ions. There is a solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) layer which origins from electrode-electrolyte interphase. The SEI layer is a fundamental part of lithium-ion battery system and its quality defines and highly affects the overall quality of lithium-ion battery itself. Growth of the SEI layer is connected with the formation of new compounds. The process formation of SEI layer is linked to energy consumption (energy loss). What is most important is the fact that the growth of SEI layer consumes the significant amount of lithium ions provided from a limited positive electrode (cathode) source. In this work, the lithiation method was employed to reduce these undesirable side effects of the SEI growth.

The purpose of the article is to analyze the experience of modeling the educational and training process for training volleyball players. Methodology: the research is carried out on the example of volleyball players' educational-training process formation. The article reveals the process of speed-strength readiness as an indicator characterizing the success of the performance of game teams. The research includes revealing the influence of students' physical abilities on the effectiveness of competitive activity: speed-strength, agility, endurance. Results: carrying out tests by Uchelli and Bosco allow determining the effectiveness of the model of the educational and training process implemented in training volleyball players.

AbstractMicroglia are resident immune cells in the central nervous system, showing a regular distribution. Advancing microscopy and image processing techniques have contributed to elucidating microglia’s morphology, dynamics, and distribution. However, the mechanism underlying the regular distribution of microglia remains to be elucidated. First, we quantitatively confirmed the regularity of the distribution pattern of microglial soma in the retina. Second, we formulated a mathematical model that includes factors that may influence regular distribution. Next, we experimentally quantified the model parameters (cell movement, process formation, and ATP dynamics). The resulting model simulation from the measured parameters showed that direct cell–cell contact is most important in generating regular cell spacing. Finally, we tried to specify the molecular pathway responsible for the repulsion between neighboring microglia.

The results of research and analysis of indicators of physical development, physical preparedness and functional state of the cardiovascular, respiratory, muscular systems of students of Cherkasy State Technological University during the three years of study are presented. There are methods that were used during this: methodological and biological, anthropometric, physiometric measurements, instrumental research methods, methods of mathematical data processing. Result of the researches have shown significant difference in indicators of physical development and negative dynamics of indicators of the functional state students‟ body during three years of study. There is a fact that shows a lack of activities and low effectiveness of two-hour training of physical education during the weeks in HEI. All this points to the need to change the process of physical education in educational institutions; the introduction of new approaches and technologies for the organization of the educational process; formation of motivational and valuable attitude of student youth to their own health, physical and sports improvement.
