The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of audit quality and audit committee on earnings management. The research population is manufacturing companies indexed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) in the 2017-2019 period. The sample selection method used was purposive sampling. From population of 180 manufacturing companies, and by selecting certain criteria, a sample of 72 manufacturing companies was obtained. Hypothesis testing is performed using multiple linear regression using statistical software SPSS Version 26. The results of this study confirm that partially, audit quality affects earnings management and audit committee also affects earnings management. Then, hypothesis testing is also carried out simultaneously, and the result is that the quality of the audit and audit committee also affects earnings management. The practical implication of this research is that the quality of the audit and the audit committee can be a reference for investors that can be used as material for consideration in making decisions when investing in potential companies.

The consistent implementation of good corporate governance based on fairness, transparency, and accountability is proven to improve the quality of financial statements.This study aims to determine the influence of indicators of good corporate governance indicators to earnings management in Manufacturing Companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). The sampling method is porposive samling by taking a sample of 30 manufacturing companies in the consumer goods industry sector which publishes annual report complete year 2014-2018.The results showed that simultaneously and partially, managerial ownership, composition of board of commissioner, audit committee and audit quality of KAP size have a positive effect on earnings management.Variable composition of board of commissioner has the most dominant influence to earnings management, shown by value of Standardized efficients Beta 0,303 bigger of the value of Standardized Coefficients Beta of other independent variables.

This test is conducted in order to analyze and test the leverage, company size, profitability, and audit quality, and the audit committee in influencing earnings management. This research is sourced from an annual report from a manufacturing company on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Starting from 2015 to 2018. Samples taken by researchers there are certain criteria in order to obtain more representative data. So that a total sample of 327 manufacturing companies was obtained during the study period. Researchers used secondary data, the data obtained through the site www.idx.co.id, www.sahamok.com, and several related company websites. This data analysis tool uses multiple linear regression. The end of this test includes evidence in the form of leverage and audit committee which has a positive and significant effect on earnings management, while company size, profitability and audit quality have no effect on earnings management.

This study aims to examine the effect of managerial ownership, audit quality and audit committee on earnings management. The research was conducted at manufacturing companies in the consumer goods sector which were listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2014-2018. The sampling technique used purposive sampling technique and obtained 10 companies that became samples. Hypothesis testing is done by using multiple regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that: first, managerial ownership does not have a significant effect on earnings management. It can be seen that the t-count is smaller than the t-table (0.152 <1.678) with a significance value of 0.880> 0.05. Second, audit quality affects earnings management. It can be seen that the t-count is greater than the t-table (2.274> 1.678), with a significance value of 0.028 <0.05. Third, the audit committee has a significant effect on earnings management. It can be seen that the t-count is greater than the t-table (2.894 > 1.6 7 8), with a significance value of 0.006 <0.05. If reviewed together, the three variables of managerial ownership, audit quality, and audit committee have an effect of 25.4% on earnings management.

The objective of this research is to obtain empirical evidence of board of independence, institutional ownership, board of size, managerial ownership, profitability, firm size, audit quality, audit committee, and leverage as independent variables to earnings management. Earning management as dependent variable in Indonesian manufacturing companies.The research period is three years from 2012-2014 and population in this research is all listed companies in Indonesian Stock Exchange. Samples are obtained through purposive sampling method, listed manufacturing companies in Indonesian manufacturing companies meet the sampling criteria, resulting 185 data. Multiple linear regressions is used as the data analysis method in this research.The result of this research shows that profitability,  firm size, audit quality, and leverage statistically have effect on the earningsmanagement. While other variables such as board of independence, institutional ownership, board of size, managerial ownership, and audit committee have no effect on earnings management.

This study aims to determine the efect of real earnings management which is a proxy of earnings management to the predictive ability of fnancial reports through the company’s operating cash fow. Researchers also consider the infuence exerted by the quality of audits of the relationship between real earnings management with the company’s operating cash fow. Samples are manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period of observation 2010-2012.Berdasarkan criteria previously set contained 249 corporate data used in this study. The results of this study revealed that real earnings management has an infuence on the predictive ability of fnancial statements through operating cash fow. Quality audits can also afect earnings management actions undertaken by the company and consequently also of the operating cash fow of the company. Overall audit quality may afect the actions of earnings management and certainly also the predictive ability of corporate fnancial statements.Keywords: real earnings management, operating cash fow, and audit quality.

This study aims to analyze and obtain empirical evidence of Corporate Governance, Political Connection and Profitability to Tax avoidance. Independent variabels are proxied by Corporate Governance, Political Connection and Profitability, the dependent variable is proxied by Tax avoidance and control variables are proxied by Firm Size and Firm Age.  The sample used in this study is secondary data derivied from the financial statements of manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) in 2014-2018. Sample were taken by purposive sampling method and met the sample selection criteria. The sample used was 48 companies. Data is processed with Eviews Version 9 software and using the Generalized Least Square (GLS) method. The results show that Political Connections do not have an influence on Tax Avoidance, Corporate Governance that is proxied by Audit Quality does not have an effect on Tax Avoidance, while Corporate Governance which is proxied by the Audit Committee and Independent Board of Commissioners has a positive effect on Tax Avoidance. Profitability has negative effect to Tax avoidance.

The purpose of this study is to analyze audit quality mediating the effect of the independence auditors and audit committees on earnings quality in manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange 2015-2019. This research is a causality study with a quantitative approach. The research population was 144 companies which were selected to be 68 company samples. Dependent variable is earnings quality and the independent variable are independence of the auditor and the audit commitee and intervening variable is audit quality. This study uses path analysis. The results of the study found that audit quality did not mediate the effects of auditor and audit committee independence on earnings quality. The study found that supervision carried out by independent auditors and quality audits could hinder earnings management thereby increasing earnings quality. The audit committee was formed by the company as a formality to comply with government regulations. Keywords: Earnings Quality; Audit Quality; Auditor Independence; Audit Committee.

This  research  aims to find empirical evidence  about the impact  of  workload  and  audit tenure  on  audit quality  and  using audit  committee  as  a  moderating  variable. This  research  focused  on  manufacturing companies  that  listed  on  the  Indonesia Stock Exchange. Sample was collected using   purposive sampling method and resulted 31  companies as a final sample.  The  data are analyzed by using Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The results of  this research indicate  that the  workload  has a negative  impact on  audit quality.  Audit tenure has a positive impact on audit quality. Audit committee reduces the negative impact of workload on audit quality. And audit committee reduces the positive impact of audit tenure on audit quality.

This study aims to determine the effect of the audit tenure, audit committee, and audit capacity stress on audit quality as measured by earnings surprise benchmark approach. The research used secondary data. The population was all manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange in the period of 2015-2017. The data collection technique used is purposive sampling and 303 samples obtained data. The independent variables were audit tenure, audit committee, and audit capacity stress at the significance level of 5%.  This study using logistic regression analysis techniques. The result of the research showed that audit tenure had no significant influence on audit quality with a significance level that is equal to 0.145, audit committee had no significant influence on audit quality a significance level that is equal to 0.652, and audit capacity stress had no significant influence on audit quality a significance level that is equal to 0.522 of the manufacturing companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange

This study aims to determine the effect of independent commissioners and audit committees on earnings management. This research uses quantitative methods. The data used in this study are secondary data, i.e. data obtained through existing sources and do not need to be collected by the researcher themselves. The data is in the form of an annual report issued by companies listed in the 2015-2017 period which are listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. The population in this study are manufacturing companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange in the 2015-2017 period. The results showed that the independent board of commissioners and the audit committee had no simultaneous effect on earnings management. This is consistent with the results of the simultaneous regression coefficient test (Test F) which shows the calculated F value is smaller than the F table, and with a determinant value of 3.1%. Partially the independent board of comissioners and audit committee has no effect on earnings management. Based on the results of the partial regression coefficient test (t test) on the variable independent commissioners and the audit committee showed a significance value greater than 0.05, so it was concluded that the two variables in this study had no effect on earnings management.Keywords: Audit Committee, Independent Board of Commissioners, Profit Management, Finance
