Introduction: Kabaddi is one of the most popular games, which makes it our national pride. Kabaddi requires a lot of power, strength, flexibility, agility, speed, breath control and wariness. The game comes under contact sports and hence injuries are common. Muscle Energy Technique (MET) is a form of manual therapy used to relax the muscles via autogenic or reciprocal inhibition and lengthen the muscle, which uses muscle’s own energy in the form of gentle isometric contraction. The purpose of this study is to find out the effectiveness of MET on improving hamstring muscle flexibility, active knee extension (AKE) range, and agility in high school level kabaddi players. Subjects: 30 female amateur kabaddi players Methodology: 30 high school level Kabaddi players were assessed and selected based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria, and assigned into two groups. Group A (experimental n=15) received MET along with conventional exercises and Group B received Conventional flexibility exercises alone for 5 consecutive days. Pre-post and a follow-up measurement of hamstring flexibility, AKE and agility was taken using flexometer, 90-90 test and agility T-test. Results: Statistical analysis was done using paired and unpaired t-test. In paired t-test, the hamstring muscle flexibility improved significantly on day 5, on follow-up day 8 measurement it showed reduction in flexibility but not significant for both groups. The AKE of right and left knee joint has significantly improved on day 5 and there was significant reduction on day 8. Whereas the agility for both groups has significantly improved on day 5 and 8. On unpaired t-test, there is significant difference between both groups for all 3 outcomes. Conclusion: The Muscle energy Technique is effective on improving hamstring muscle flexibility, Active knee extension range and agility in 5 day MET programme. Therefore, concluded that Muscle Energy Technique is effective and can be administered on-field prior to sports events, and thereby improve player’s performance. Keywords: MET, Kabaddi, Hamstring injuries, Flexometer test, active knee extension test, agility T-test.

One of the most difficult skills in English lesson is teaching writing. Therefore, this study aims to find out the effectiveness of “Freeze! Freeze!” game for teaching writing on grade eight students of SMP N 1 Rakit, Banjarnegara. This study is an experimental research at SMP N 1 Rakit. This study consisted of two groups which are experimental and control groups. In collecting the data, the writer used a test and the result was analyzed by using a t-test to find out the effect of the treatment. After analyzing the data, the writer found that there was a positive effect of the use of “Freeze! Freeze!” game in teaching writing of recount text. It could be seen from the result of hypothesis testing that the t-test was higher than the t-table (3.792>1.997). Thus, it can be concluded that the use of “Freeze! Freeze!” game in teaching writing of recount text was effective.

The aim of this study is; to investigate the effects of differential training method on hand and leg visual reaction time in high school tennis trainees. 24 trainees (12 girls, 12 boys) attending a tennis course in a high school participated in the study voluntarily. It was determined that the mean age of the participants was 15.00±0.00 years, their body weight was 63.46±10.64 kg, their height was 1.65±0.06 m, and their body mass index was 23.26±2.91. According to the results of the pre-tests, 2 homogeneous groups of 12 people were created. One group formed the Differential Group (DG), the other the Traditional Group (TG), and each group included 6 girls and 6 boys. The training sessions were held 3 days a week (90 minutes each) and lasted 10 weeks in total. In the study, the visual reaction time (separately for hand and leg) was performed as a pre-test and a post-test using the Fitlight TrainerTM device. Paired Sample t test was used to examine the difference between pre-test and post-test of the same group. Independent Sample t test was used to measure the intergroup interaction between pre-tests and post-tests. To interpret the statistical significance level, p < 0.05 was accepted. As a conclusion; it was observed that both training methods shorten the visual reaction time, but there was no significant difference between the groups in pre-test and post-tests.

A 5-yr. follow-up study was conducted of the creativity exhibited by 800 creative and control students previously identified at the high school level. The findings indicate that creative youth continue to report more creative achievements than their peers but only in those specialty fields (arts or sciences) in which they had previously distinguished themselves. The data lend support for the predictive validity of the instrument previously developed with these Ss, the Biographical Inventory Creativity.

The purpose of this study was to explore the students’ problem solving skill to solve problem in Archimedes principle on the senior high school level. The method of this study was mixed method with explanatory follow up explanation design. The subject of this study was 30 students of k-11 in SMAN 9 Malang. The kuantitative data was collected through survey by 2 essay questions with reliability cronbah alpha 0,70. The qualitative data was collected through interview after analyze student answare. The aim of this interview was to follow up the pattern of student answare. The result of this study shown that students’ expert attitude began solve problem through definite problem qualitatively. In addition, the students’ novice attitude refer to not describe a problem qualitatively.

Futsal is an upcoming popular sport in the industry, it is an active dynamic sport which requires the players to perform various movements like rapidly accelerating and decelerating, it also requires them to rapidly change their direction of movement, it also involves a lot of sliding and kicking. Compared to other athletic sports played worldwide, futsal is a rather vigorous sport with increased incidence of injuries. Tightness in the hamstring muscles can lead to various injuries. The prevalence of hamstring muscle injuries is very high in futsal players due to muscle tightness. This study aims to determine the effects of Muscle Energy Technique (MET) on hamstring flexibility among futsal players. After being screened as per the inclusion and exclusion criteria, the participants were given the chronic implication of MET where the technique was performed for seven to ten seconds with twenty percent of resistive effort synchronized with the breathing pattern of the participant and then stretched to the new muscle length, this was repeated until no further gain was possible. The hamstring length was assessed using the Active Knee Extension Test (AKET) before and after the intervention, the values were then compared. The result of the study had shown an improvement in the hamstring length following the intervention (16.50) to be statistically significant (P <0.01) when compared to the baseline findings (23.67). It has been concluded that MET can increase the hamstring flexibility among futsal players, thus it will be able to reduce the injury rate. Keywords: Hamstring Flexibility, Muscle Energy Technique, Hamstring tightness,Futsal Players, Active Knee Extension.

ABSTRACTThe purpose of the study was intended to develop supplementary reading material based on genre text for students in the tenth grade of Senior High School in order to help the learners in comprehending and interesting to study about Islamic story. This research was conducted by validation product by the experts, and try out. This research showed that the validation product by the experts showed 80% the product was appropriate, and the try out by the students were more than expected interval (l00%-76%). To find out whether the effective of the product, the writer gives the students pretest before implementing the product and posttest after implementing. The finding shows that the t-test calculation from the result of pre-test is 23% and post-test which on  is 80,7%. The result of this study concluded that the product was effective to use.

The study aims to create a softball throw and catch learning model for high school students. Based on the findings of observations and interviews, it is possible to conclude that students struggle with throwing and catching techniques on softball material. Physical education teachers face a challenge in providing appropriate learning methods due to a lack of variety in applying the learning model. The research and development (R D) method was used in this study, with six stages of development. The following data analysis techniques were used in this study: This study employs both quantitative and qualitative descriptive data analysis. Based on the findings of this study, ten throwing and catching learning models with various variations have been developed. The effectiveness test was performed with the T-test to determine the effectiveness of the developed product. The t-test value, tcount = 31,647, was then obtained. The value of ttable obtained with confidence level = 0.05, dk = (n-1) = 30 – 1 = 30 was 2.1098. As a result, tcount exceeds ttable (tcount = 31,647 ttable = 2,093). Based on the test criteria of tcount ttable at =0.05 dk = 17, the developed model is very effective for use, particularly at the high school level.
