This chapter focuses on the first volume of The Second Sex (“Facts and Myths”) and argues that the real goal of Beauvoir’s text is to prevent the systematic blockage of women’s opportunities for individuation. Like Deleuze’s critique of representation, Beauvoir’s critique of sexist systems of knowledge and politics arose from concerns about the nature of “sense” associated with late Husserlian phenomenology. This chapter also establishes some terminology, asking how a “concept,” a “problem,” “conceptual personae” and a “life” are related in Deleuze’s thought and in Beauvoir’s corpus. The concept of “transcendence” is used as a case study for unpacking these relationships.

When in spring 1914 Otto Hintze was elected a member of the Prussian Academy of Science he indicated in his inaugural address that his publications in the field of Prussian history most likely had earned him this honor. He added, however, that the history of Prussia was by no means the exclusive aim of his work as a historian. Alluding to the fact that his professorship at the University of Berlin was a chair for general constitutional, administrative, and economic history as well as for political science (Politik), he continued: “The real goal towards which my scholarly endeavors are directed has always been a universal comparative constitutional and administrative history of the West [der Neueren Staatenwelt—a term which for Hintze, as in Ranke's Epochen der Neueren Geschichte, comprised both medieval and modern Europe], especially of the Romance and Germanic speaking nations. It is in this context that Ranke's lifework could and should be complemented.”

ENVIROMENT EDUCACION: EDUCACION OR INFORMATION? Abstract The search for the so questioned sustainable development requires a reflection on the actions taken in prol of this, in the direction that the changes will only happen when we change our behavior, when we pass throught a process of internalization of new beliefs and values, breaking with daily pre-established concepts, through education. To educate is to prepare to correct thinking, in the way to become ready to act, to move, to create, to innovate, to criticize, to cooperate, to restart or to come back, if needed, to have hope and commitment with the future and, still, to search for knowledge. The real goal of Education is to guide new ways of living and to act respecting life above all.

Improving finance literacy of the population is a tool of the state struggle against finance fraud. However, the real goal of programs of finance literacy of the population is, as a rule an objective need to control finance behavior of the population by offering people certain ways of keeping money, its investing and such spending, which can turn the process of private consumption into the process of profit gaining and increase the involvement of all layers of the population that depend on goals and values of global capital into debt relations. The authors analyze interrelations between finance literacy of the population and a rise in trust, confidence to finance science, practice and to professional participants of finance market. They found the dependence of the level of finance trust in professionals of finance markets on the level of finance literacy of the population. At the same time it was pointed out that the growth in finance trust in society can become a nutrient medium for finance fraud, which in its turn affects the population irrespective of the level of people’s finance literacy. The authors underline, that though the rise in finance literacy of the population is a positive phenomenon, it is always accompanied by the growth in finance fraud.

Confiscation of assets to recover state losses in a criminal act of corruption requires proof of the value of state losses or the results obtained from criminal acts of corruption, either directly or indirectly, and even includes an increase in value due to appreciation. Confiscation of assets is a legal step required in the framework of the functionalization of criminal law to restore justice because criminal acts of corruption are related to protecting public rights related to state assets. Therefore, this step is following the idea of justice to achieve the real goal of the law.
