The study aimed to find out kinds and the effects of students’ learning autonomy. This research is qualitative research. The subject of study is 11th graders Science 4 SMAN 1 Mempawah Hilir. To obtained data, researcher used indirect and direct method, there are questionnaire and interview guidelines. The analyzed data obtained from questionnaire by grouping kinds of students’ learning autonomy then to know the effects, researcher conducted interviews to 8 students. The results are vocabulary notebook is a kind of learning autonomy sometimes used (17.9%) while the most frequently used is English songs (63%). The effects they feel are gain new vocabulary, familiar with environment that uses English, enhances confidence and fluency. In conclusion, there are some kinds of learning autonomy students often do, like using vocabulary notebooks and Youtube, listening English podcasts, audiobooks or English dramas and English songs, speaking exercise focuses on fluency, not on grammar, talking to myself, playing English games, and watching English movies or TV programs. From those kinds of learning autonomy, students can improve speaking skill in terms of vocabulary and fluency and can be recommendations to improve speaking skill. In addition, teachers and students must also share ideas to find other interesting kinds of ways in English speaking learning.

ABSTRACT The objective of this study was to determine what causes students 'anxiety about students' English speaking skills. In this study, researchers used qualitative research. For collecting and retrieving research data the researcher using questionnaire, interviews and observations. Researchers involve teachers and students. The researchers take samples in class VII. A where the researcher only took 10 students to be sampled. In this research the researchers conduct classroom observations and provide questionnaire in which students must answer from the 25 questions. The researcher also interviewed one of the English teachers who taught in the class. Here, the researchers used FLCAS to recap the results of the student's questionnaire. In the FLACS questionnaire, the researcher has found the similarities from what the teacher had said in the interview. The students were always anxious in the situations such as; when their names were called by the teacher, when they could not understand what the teacher has said, when they were asked to talk English in the classroom, when they think they will be the laugh stock of their friends as they speak in English. From the FLCAS questionnaire have also supported the findings from the observation. From the questionnaire, some of the students’ respond toward the items showed that they would be the most anxious when they were asked to perform speaking task. The purpose of this qualitative research is to examine what problems are faced by EFL Colleges Learners in speaking English especially at IAIN Metro, Lampung. The researcher took the fourth semester at English Department of IAIN Metro as the subject. The total numbers of the subjects were ten (10) students.  The researcher interviewed the students to find out about the EFL collages learners difficulties in speaking skill. The findings showed that there are four important themes which emerged in this study, namely (1) the students are lack of Vocabularies, (2) The grammar is not well mastered by the students, (3) the students are afraid of negative responses from others, and (4) the students have low self-confidence in speaking English.

This descriptive qualitative research was aimed at finding out the methods employed by the EFL Teacher at SMPIT Tunas Cendekia Mataram. The setting of the research was in SMPIT Tunas Cendekia Mataram. The subject of this research was the 7th grade EFL teacher consisting of one single teacher. This research was designed as a descriptive qualitative research. The data were collected through, interview and document study (lesson plan). Data was analyzed by using the theories proposed by Larsen-Freeman (1986) and Richards and Rodgers (2001) classification. In relation to problem raised, the study identifed that there were three methods the teacher employed in the teaching process. They were Community Language Learning, Direct Method, and Audio-Lingual Method. Community Language Learning was employed five (5) times for five (5) different meetings, Direct Method was employed two (2) times for two different meetings, and Audio-Lingual Method was employed one (1) time.

The development of information technology (IT) has made a lot of positive changes in language teaching approaches and made significant innovations in educational quality. In learning a language generally and specific skills in particular, it is essential for learners to reflect on what they experienced. Through reflection, teachers and students are able not only to look back to the past happenings, but also to make some necessary changes. Thanks to the support from technology devices, reflective practice (RP) in teaching and learning has become more convenient, especially in smart education environment. This paper is aimed at investigating the evaluation and perception of students on the effects and challenges of using information technology to enhance communication skills and Reflection Practice in teaching and learning English speaking skills and recommending some technology-assisted teaching strategies. In order to examine this, a set of questionnaires, interviews and reflection journals were administered to 80 English major students at Hanoi Law University and six teachers who have taught English speaking skill. The findings showed that using technology-driven teaching approach in RP helped learners achieve more benefits for learning English speaking.

This study analysed the implementation of classical puppet drama performance to improve students’ speaking skill in International Class Program of one of universities in Salatiga. The teaching and learning processes in drama class were(1 ) asking the students with the question, (2) designing drama project plan, (3) creating drama preparation schedules, (4) monitoring the students in preparing the drama, (5) assessing the outcome, and (6) evaluating students’ drama performance. This study was qualitative research in the form of case study. To collect the data the researcher used observation, interview, documentation, and questionnaire. The results showed that by using drama performance, students can improve their pronunciation, fluency, accuracy, handle the voice, and body language to improve their self-confidence to speak in English. Moreover, the used of 4Cs skills activities namely critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity skills in the classroom can stimulate students to improve their group work and interaction among students.

The general aims in this research are to find out the students perceptions in learning speaking through picture media at the eleventh grade students of MA Roudlotul Muta�alimin in academic year 2019/2020. Furthermore, the aims can particularly be formulated to know what students perceptions in learning speaking through picture media. This research was categorized as survey research with the descriptive quantitative approach. The subject of this research is the eleventh grade students of MA Roudlotul Muta�alimin in academic year 2019/2020 as the participants totally 18 students. The questionnare was used to collected the data about students perceptions in learning speaking through picture media. And documentation was used to collected a description of the school and respondent. And the result is the eleventh graders of MA Roudlotul Muta�alimin had high integrative motivation to develop English speaking. They also had a high expectation that picture media could help them develop their English speaking skill. They also �strongly agreed� and �agreed� that English speaking mastery will help them to be more confident and courageous in speaking English, express their idea and motivate themselves even reached more than 80%. The response more than 85% of them �strongly agreed� and �agreed� that their mastery of English speaking will able to motivate themself to improve their ability to speak in English and make it easier for them to talk about anything in English by using picture media. In addition, the teacher also has an interesting method in learning English and often to use picture media in learning English.

The purposes of this research are (1)  to find out how the teachers make preparation for managing speaking instruction, (2) to find out how English teachers design classroom management for teaching speaking skill, and (3) to find out how the teachers make as assessment of speaking instruction. The subject of this research is all teachers of SMA Modal Bangsa who teach English especially speaking skill and there are four subjects. The design used in this  research is descriptive research and it belongs to  qualitative research.  Thus, this research is conducted to analyze a management of speaking instruction at the school. Data needed were gotten through observation, interview, and documentation. Data gotten are analyzed by narration procedure and discussing. The result of the research shows that the teachers prepare classroom management of reading instruction by preparing lesson plan, materials, and conducive environment for instruction process. Next, the teachers usually use six methods namely: asking opinion, debate, roll play, discussion, problem solving and speech in managing speaking instruction.  Furthermore, the teachers evaluate the students in teaching English speaking skill in two kinds of tests namely on going process test and final test. The tests of English speaking skill were orally. The tests are parted into six categories, there are: fluency of speaking, pronunciation, grammar, sound gesture and content

Nevertheless, lately Arabic Learning Method at both organizations deteriorated in its implementation. Therefore, it is important to be researched, to discover its problem background.This research means to compare between Arabic Learning Method for Development of Speaking Skill which was implemented at TMI Al-Amien Boarding School and Annuqayyah Mantiqah Latee Guluk-Guluk Sumenep Madura, also to know the running of Arabic cultural activities in both institutes.The form of this research is Qualitative Research which is used descriptive approach. While, data collecting technique uses interview with several informer which is consisting of Responsibiliters, Supervisors, and Arabic Teachers. And also, direct observation to the field and utilizing several document which is regarded with this research.Based on the result of the research shows that: First; there are differences between the implementation of Arabic Learning Method for Development of Speaking Skill at both institutes. Besides, in language achievement side both are increasing and competitive. In language center of TMI Al-Amien Boarding School has been using four methods, and they are: Direct Method, Repeat Method, Conversation Method, and Expressing Method. And also, in DALFIS has been using two methods, they are: Grammar Method and Translation Method.Exactly between Markazul Lughah in TMI Al-Amien Prenduan Boarding School and DALFIS Annuqayah Mantiqah Latee Guluk-Guluk have many differences according to surpluses and decreases.

English language is frequently taught in Indonesian vocational college such as in Nursing Department. It is such a challenge for the students and the lecturer as well due to the tight schedule. The students need more exposures in English language, but the English course so far is only taught conventionally in the classroom once in a week for 2 semesters. The students need to fulfill certain competence in English in effective ways, one of the competence is English speaking skill.  Learning speaking needs more effective methods. The methods could be in the form of the media used in teaching learning process. Besides, English speaking skill was so urgent for the students both in academic affair and professionalism. This study, therefore, observes the students’ need of learning media for learning English speaking. This was a qualitative research by conducting a syllabus investigation, interview, and questionnaire to collect the qualitative research data. The quantitative data was also conducted through delivering questionnaires to add the meaning of the qualitative data. This study revealed the kinds of learning media that the students need in learning English speaking skills that would also help them easily get the English courses exposures. The appropriate learning media for learning English speaking was a mobile learning media which has portability and high connectivity. It was a kind digital learning media that can be accessed at anytime and anywhere, installed in their smartphones which consisted of some speaking activities and their supporting activities.

This study aims to describe the pattern of interaction between teachers and students and between students with other students on learning VII grade SMPLB A Bina Insani Bandar Lampung. This research is a qualitative research. The subject of this research is one teacher and all students of class VII SMPLB A Bina Insani Bandar Lampung, amounting to 5 people where 1 student is light blind (low vision) and 4 students total blind. The technique of validity of data used is by triangulation time, that is by seeing the data of an interaction between a teacher with the student and between student on two observations done on a different day. The results of this study indicate that the pattern of interaction of teachers and students with visual impairment in learning VII grade SMPLB A Bina Insani Bandar Lampung is a two-way interaction but without the interaction between students with one student, either in the category of information (BIn) (UIn), as well as delay information (TIn).
