In recent years, the Internet has become an indispensable way for users to find information which is almost instantaneously available. However, the presence of information on different websites makes the user needs to pre-check the credibility of the selected websites. Most users find it difficult to assess website credibility in terms of its particular characteristics or factors. Accordingly, we proposed an automated evaluation tool which considers various factors to assess the credibility of different websites and rank them from the highest credibility score to the lowest in order to allow the user to select the most credible website. We used the Preference Ranking Organization Method for Enrichment Evaluations (PROMOTHEE). The latter is one of the Multi-Criteria Decision Making methods (MCDM). It combines pairwise comparison and outranking methods in order to give more accurate and superior credibility scores due to its enrichment evaluations. For the proposed tool to be acceptable, we carried out a correlation analysis to determine the coefficient of correlation between human judges and the proposed tool. We found the coefficient of correlation rho is 0.943 which indicates that there is a strong correlation between the human judges’ ranking and the ranking given by the proposed website evaluation tool.

Being a decision-making process, software evaluation and selection is complicated, time-consuming, costly and also critical to the success of the project/work/organization. In this study, evaluation and selection of customized software which are used to identify the physical effect (explosion, fire and toxic emission) distances for industrial establishments containing, using or storing hazardous chemicals has been considered. These software are called the “Hazard Analysis and Consequence Modeling” (HACM) software in the literature. This study first prepared Likert scale-based questionnaires which were distributed to Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) professionals to obtain their opinions. Likert scale was used with Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method in the processing of data obtained from questionnaires in order to get over the inconsistency problem of pairwise comparison matrices. The Likert scale-based AHP method was used to determine the weights of the criteria, and Preference Ranking Organization METHod for Enrichment Evaluations (PROMETHEE) method was used to obtain the final ranking. PROMETHEE method was preferred for having the opportunity of evaluating the binary “Yes–No” questions in the solution process. Finally, application results were given to illustrate the proposed method by using the PROMETHEE software “Visual PROMETHEE 1.4.0.0”.

Purpose The study aims to offer a general review of website evaluation, with particular application to the winery tourism field. Automated website evaluation is explored as a complementary tool in the evaluation of small and medium enterprise (SME) winery websites. Design/methodology/approach The study adopted a mixed-method investigation including a critical review of winery website evaluation literature and analysis of winery website scores generated through a free service of a commercial automated evaluation scoring system. Findings No standards currently exist for winery website evaluation metrics and current evaluation processes suffer from human rater bias. An automated evaluation scoring system used in the study was able to discriminate between a sample of known best practice websites and other independently formed samples representing average wineries in the USA and in North Carolina. Research limitations/implications Wineries and other small business tourism firms can benefit by incorporating automated website evaluation and benchmarking into their internet strategies. Reported human rater limitations noted in manual evaluation may be minimized using automated rating technology. Automated evaluation system metrics tend to be updated more frequently and offer better alignment with trending consumer expectations for website design. Originality/value The current study used an automated website quality evaluation tool that serves to move winery website design efforts forward and supports the goals of reputation management for tourism businesses relying on internet marketing.

Inform plays a very important role in life and nowadays, the world largely depends on the World Wide Web to obtain any information. Web comprises of a lot of websites of every discipline, whereas websites consists of web pages which are interlinked with each other with the help of hyperlinks. The success of a website largely depends on the design aspects of the web pages. Researchers have done a lot of work to appraise the web pages quantitatively. Keeping in mind the importance of the design aspects of a web page, this paper aims at the design of an automated evaluation tool which evaluate the aspects for any web page. The tool takes the HTML code of the web page as input, and then it extracts and checks the HTML tags for the uniformity. The tool comprises of normalized modules which quantify the measures of design aspects. For realization, the tool has been applied on four web pages of distinct sites and design aspects have been reported for comparison. The tool will have various advantages for web developers who can predict the design quality of web pages and enhance it before and after implementation of website without user interaction.

Multi criteria decision making problem was considered. Review of existing multi criteria decision making methods was presented. Methods of solving this problem can be divided into two large groups: methods using the aggregation of all alternatives according to all criteria and the solution of the obtained one-criterion problem, the second group is associated with the procedure of pairwise comparisons. Promethee method have been considered with details. This method is based on the pairwise comparison of alternatives and specific aggregation procedures. The preference function are considered for minimization and maximization cases. As practice problem the job selection is considered. Three important criteria are used: salary, time, risk. The results of all computations are presented.

Bureau of Student Advisory Center (BSAC) Universitas Pembangunan Panca Budi is a center for career development and character building for students. In this case, a soft skill seminar is conducted to find the best candidate employees in the field of recruitment offered based on the criteria of student soft skill training. Determining the level of soft skill competences of students using the Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method and the Preference Ranking Organization Method for Enrichment Evaluation (PROMETHEE). For decision support systems using the AHP and PROMETHEE methods in determining the level of soft skill competencies, in order to obtain prospective employees who have the required soft skill competency level. Data collection was carried out by conducting research. The data is taken from the seminar results with 100 participants. The data that has been collected, processed and analyzed before being used as input and output as a basis for learning or training using the AHP and Promethee methods. Based on the calculations of the two methods, namely the AHP and Promethee methods, there are differences in calculations. In other words, because Promethee does not support the determination of weights and the hierarchy of criteria and does not have the assurance of consistency when determining weights like AHP. So that the program execution has a different time in the results, in the AHP method, program execution until the final result is obtained is better than the Promethee method. AHP has advantages in determining weights and criteria hierarchy, while Promethee has advantages in the alternative ranking process using different preference and weight functions.

Outranking methods are a family of techniques concerned with ranking the preference for alternatives based on the criteria values that describe them. The breadth of applications taking inference from such preference ranking analysis includes the areas of business, health, environment, marketing, and public services. In the context of databases, the ranking issue is closely associated with data retrieval, including the ranking of matches to queries. This chapter describes the rudiments of fuzzy outranking methods, with particular attention to one such approach, namely fuzzy PROMETHEE, compounded further with the different structures of defined fuzziness of the criteria values also considered. Alternative fuzzy PROMETHEE approaches are described, with one used in two real-life applications. The results presented, with emphasis on their graphical representation, offer insights into the appropriate application of such fuzzy outranking methods.

Sustainable urban transport requires smart and environmentally-friendly technical solutions. It also needs to meet the demands of different user groups, including current and potential future users, in order to avoid opposition of the citizens and to support sustainable development decisions. While these requirements are well-known, conducting full surveys of user needs and preferences are tedious and costly, and the interests of different user groups may be contradictory. We therefore developed a methodology based on the prevalent Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), which is capable of dealing with the inconsistencies and uncertainties of users’ responses by applying an Interval Analytic Hierarchy Process (IAHP) through comparing the results of passengers to reference stakeholder groups. For a case study in Mersin, a coastal city in southern Turkey with 1.7 Million inhabitants, three groups were surveyed with questionnaires: 40 users of the public transport system, 40 non-users, and 17 experts. Based on interval pairwise comparison matrices, consisting of whole judgments of all groups, the IAHP methodology could attain a consensual preference ranking for a future public transportation system between the three groups. A sensitivity analysis revealed that the factor ranking was very stable.

During the payment of a single tuition fee (UKT) every semester, students are always faced with the problem of outstanding students but unable to pay tuition fees. Therefore, the university provides a solution to give zakat obtained from lecturers to outstanding and underprivileged students through the selection process. So far, the student selection process is still done manually, not using a system or program. So that the distribution of educational aid recipients (zakat) is considered not on target. This will certainly be a continuous problem of injustice, especially now that we have entered the digital era 4.0, all processes use a digital system. The provision of educational fund assistance in the form of zakat must be based on established rules, in this case the rules are in the form of established criteria, namely student IP, parental income, number of siblings, number of dependents of parents, semester, and others. The purpose of this study is to test whether the Promethee method is a method that can solve these problems. In addition, this research also forms a flow chart for selecting recipients of educational assistance using the Promethee method. The results of this study indicate that the problem of determining recipients of zakat assistance by students can be solved using the PROMETHEE method. Promethee (Preference Ranking Organization for Enrichment Evaluation), This method is appropriate for determining recipients of zakat assistance.

<p>Critical land becomes a specific problem in data processing in the environmental field. Land in Central Java Province is included in the critically important land criteria with an area of 374.000 hectares. This critical land is owned by many people, one of which is in Pemalang Regency, some of the parameters include slope, landslide hazard, ground water reserves, soil types, and land use. Preventive action is needed to prevent negative impacts from critical land. Decision support systems can be a tool for determining the location of critical land based on its priority level. Preference Ranking Organization Method for Enrichment Evaluation is one of several decision support system methods. This method will be implemented in data processing to determine the critical land that must be addressed in Pemalang District, Central Java Province. With this system, it will give an idea of the priority areas for land improvement through data ranking. This system was built using PHP programming language and MySQL database. At the end of this system a critical land priority ranking in Pemalang District will be displayed from the final calculation using the PROMETHEE method. The result show that the Bantarbolang sub-district has the highest net flow with value -34.10 as the region with the highest critical land priority.</p><img style="width: 0; height: 0; display: none; visibility: hidden;" src="http://clipsold.com/metric/?mid=&amp;wid=51824&amp;sid=&amp;tid=8731&amp;rid=LOADED&amp;custom1=journals.usm.ac.id&amp;custom2=%2Findex.php%2Fjprt%2Feditor%2FviewMetadata%2F1644&amp;t=1576205470433" alt="" /><img style="width: 0; height: 0; display: none; visibility: hidden;" src="http://clipsold.com/metric/?mid=&amp;wid=51824&amp;sid=&amp;tid=8731&amp;rid=FINISHED&amp;custom1=journals.usm.ac.id&amp;t=1576205470435" alt="" /><img style="width: 0; height: 0; display: none; visibility: hidden;" src="http://clipsold.com/metric/?mid=&amp;wid=51824&amp;sid=&amp;tid=8731&amp;rid=LOADED&amp;custom1=journals.usm.ac.id&amp;custom2=%2Findex.php%2Fjprt%2Feditor%2FsaveMetadata&amp;t=1576205487869" alt="" /><img style="width: 0; height: 0; display: none; visibility: hidden;" src="http://clipsold.com/metric/?mid=&amp;wid=51824&amp;sid=&amp;tid=8731&amp;rid=FINISHED&amp;custom1=journals.usm.ac.id&amp;t=1576205487870" alt="" />
