Document archiving is very important in any large educational institution, as they contain information that is critical and affects quality management as well as knowledge management. The purpose of knowledge management and information systems is to organize the intellectual capital of the universities in a formally structured way for easy use and help managers make better decisions in all areas. Thus, the sources of competitive advantage in universities derive from intellectual capital and innovations. In addition, the path to a competitive advantage comes from the ability to manage knowledge to create quality of knowledge. Quality and knowledge are good indicators with which to measure a university’s overall competitiveness. This research illustrates the importance of knowledge management in universities and the role of the Information Technology (IT) in facilitating, sharing and accelerating growth of knowledge, in addition to improving the quality of education level in the university. The research also describes both the conceptual and the empirical frame work of a Quality management automated system. We expect this approach to noticeably reduce the cost in the faculties in the University of Jordan, and prevent all the disadvantage of the current situation and improve the quality of education.

<p>The quality of education offered by the tertiary institutions in Nigeria in recent times has critically degenerated. Unfortunately, this has led to the unprecedented rise in the poor quality of Nigerian graduates which contributes to the very alarming high rate of unemployment in the country. This article therefore examines the relationship between total quality management (TQM), employee commitment and competitive advantage among tertiary institutions in Lagos State with a particular focus on the University of Lagos, using a survey research design with a random selection of 350 respondents from a population of 2,047 staff strength across the 11 faculties in the university. The data used for this article were derived from a systematic review of the relevant literature and a structured questionnaire. The data obtained from the questionnaire was subjected to descriptive and inferential statistics. The result showed that the adoption of total quality management practices and employee commitment significantly affects competitive advantage. The findings suggest that proper adoption of TQM practices coupled with employee commitment will guarantee competitive advantage outcomes measured in terms of increase in revenue, customer satisfaction and employee satisfaction. TQM and employee commitment through its principles can successfully contribute to enhanced organizational performance and dynamic competitiveness.</p>

This study aimed to identify the role of intellectual capital (human capital, structural capital, and relational capital) in achieving competitive advantage (quality of education, flexible and responsive, and innovation) at Al-Ahliyya Amman University, to achieve these goals, the researcher used the descriptive and analytical approach. The study tool in collecting information and data was a questionnaire distributed to all the university's employees, who numbered (630) individuals. The data, the study questions and hypotheses were analyzed through the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS).The study concluded some results, the most important is: The structural capital and its components (combined) have a statistically significant effect on achieving competitive advantage. The researcher recommend the necessity of dealing with intellectual capital as a major and strategic resource for the university and considering it the real wealth that guarantees universities the ability to adapt to achieve a competitive advantage in them.

One of the improvements in the quality of education is the fulfillment of the needs for facilities and adequate, quality, and ready-to-use educational infrastructure. So as for the impact of the lack of proper infrastructure of school institutions, namely that it can reduce student achievement in learning activities, especially in class. Therefore, to improve the quality of education in schools, management of facilities and infrastructure is needed to meet the needs of the student learning process at school. This study aims to determine the implementation of total quality management in improving the quality of infrastructure in schools. This research using library research with analytical study methods (library research), namely research carried out using a library alias literature, either in the form of notes, books, journals, or reports of previous research results. The analytical study used is content analytical and analytical descriptions of total quality management to improve infrastructure at school. The results of this study indicate that the facilities and infrastructure at the school are inadequate standards. Therefore, the use of infrastructure in the learning process must also be improved, as an increase in service quality continuously meets the reality and expectations for customers.

Improving the quality of education is a problem that is still experienced by many educational institutions. To improve the quality of education, institutions need a system to help achieve quality education quality. So this study aims to analyze the application of Total Quality Management in the school accreditation program as an effort to improve the quality of education. This research is a literature study by taking data from several books and literature. This data collection technique uses documentation techniques and data analysis techniques using critical analysis which is interesting from several research documents. The results of this study indicate that improving the quality of education is carried out by implementing Total Quality Management. Total Quality Management is carried out by continuous improvement, determining quality standards, changing culture, changing organizations, maintaining relationships with customers and focusing on customer satisfaction. and have a commitment to change.

The implementation of total quality management is applied to every educational institution as an effort to improve the quality of education. In this case, it is important to carry out management functions in each educational institution. This article discusses the implementation of total quality management in educational institutions to seek to improve the quality of education in achieving a quality standard in education. Every educational institution should show better quality and be able to compete. This is intended so that educational institutions continue to gain the trust of the public and stakeholders. To continue to get this, it must be improved continuously, both physically and non-physically. So as to make a quality educational institution and guaranteed quality. There are several main things that need to be considered in implementing total quality management in the world of education, namely: continuous quality improvement; determine quality standards, cultural change; changes in the organization; and maintain relationships with other agencies and customers and evaluate the system if anything is not appropriate

The objective of the research is to identify the availability of the overall quality requirements to achieve competitive advantage at the University of Tikrit. The research is based on the descriptive analytical approach and the use of the quality requirements scale As well as the measure of competitive advantage, and the research reached a number of results is that the most academic leadership functions whose performance is affected by the requirements of the overall quality. The study produced a number of recommendations that include implementing mechanisms that draw a clear path to achieving competitive advantage. In the light of these recommendations, the study reached a number of conclusions, the most prominent of which are: the existence of a correlation relationship and a significant effect among the research variables in light of the researcher's study which is consistent with the recommendations.

The relationship between leadership and teamwork with the implementation of total quality management is a very significant relationship. Leadership an important role in the success of an organization. Leadership is based on the nature of someone who is able to change others to achieve a goal. This study aimed to identify the organizational reputation of the University of Jordan (a model) in the context of its application of total quality management. The study sample consisted of (350) faculty members at the University of Jordan. The study also used the (questionnaire) tool that it developed is collect data after verifying its validity and reliability. The results of the study showed that there is a high degree in the achievement of the University of Jordan for Total Quality Management, which was reflected on its reputation, and that there were significant statistically significant differences at the level (a &le; 0.05) in the university&rsquo;s reputation as a result of its application of the principles of total quality management, which was explained by the high standards of the organizational reputation variable, starting with In terms of (creativity/strength of financial position/quality of service/social responsibility), the criterion of attractiveness was the least effective. Among the recommendations that came: maintaining the application of total quality management in the University of Jordan more effectively with continuous development and improvement, and working on marketing the University of Jordan to further improve the image in the minds of beneficiaries (existing and new prospects).

Resulting from the development of management theory in the past few years, knowledge management has emerged, which is identifying information of value and how to use it well, as well as understanding cognitive assets of an organization and how to exploit them. Knowledge management is important and necessary for the survival of an organization and its superiority. It can be integrated into the philosophy of total quality management to play a role in the development of the basis of performance of modern organizations. The total quality management philosophy seeks to achieve customer satisfaction through the commitment of the leadership of an organization and its workers by a process of continuous improvement of the quality of performance in various aspects of an organization. This chapter aims to identify the integration between knowledge management and total quality management, when applied to public Jordanian universities as a sample for the study. The chapter found the presence of integrity and a strong correlation between knowledge management and total quality management.
