The aim of this study was to identify the effects of strategy, structure, processes and organizational culture on the effectiveness of organization and mediating role of business intelligence systems in Iran’s airline companies. Statistical society includes all airlines of Iran. For sampling, non-random judgmental sampling method is used. In order to study the research hypotheses, structural equation methods have been used. Questionnaire tools were used for gathering the data. Stability of the questionnaires used in the present study was calculated higher than 0.7 in term of Cronbach alpha, confirming the validity. The results showed that there is a positive and significant effect between variables of strategy, structure, and organizational culture on the effectiveness of the organization and business intelligence systems in Iran’s airlines and that there is not a significant relationship between organizational variables and organizational effectiveness.

Furthermore, none of those studies was performed in a Higher Education Sector in Iraq. Consequently, the study aims to determine the business intelligence system features influencing perceived impact end users’ and of using business intelligence systems in Iraqi educational institutes. A technology acceptance model and technology organization environment framework were syntheses as a basis to develop a research model for business intelligence users' perceived impact and adopt of business intelligence systems named (SMUPI-BIS). Later, an online instrument (questionnaire) was designed to gather data from the business intelligence system users in five Iraqi universities. Twenty-one hypotheses were proposed and later tested. Then, for data analysis, the authors used several methods such as hierarchical regression, one-way ANOVA, descriptive statistics as well as structural equation modeling (SEM). The main outcomes of this study suggest that decision support, information quality, and real-time reporting are the most significant system characteristics influencing end users' perceived impact and their usage of business intelligence systems.

Purpose This study aims to investigate the influence of business intelligence (BI) in startups competitiveness, contributing to a gap in literature as this relationship is normally more focused on stablished businesses. The mediating role of entrepreneurial orientation (EO) was taken in to account in the proposed research model. Design/methodology/approach The model was tested using structural equation modeling. A total of 228 valid questionnaires were collected from a research sample comprised of incubated startups from several European countries. Findings The results point to significant mediating role of EO in the impact of BI on competitiveness. The direct impact of BI on competitiveness was not confirmed. Research limitations/implications The results highlight the importance that BI can have in startups competitiveness, namely, reinforcing the role of pro-activeness, innovativeness and risk taking – the traditional dimensions of EO, providing the information needed for more supported decisions. Originality/value Although there are several approaches to BI, namely, in a more technical perspective, this paper addresses the topic in a managerial and decisional point of view, and studies it regarding his impact in startups competitiveness, thru the mediating effect of EO.

After a screening process, the data from a sample of 127 employees was used to test the mediation model using structural equation modeling (SEM). The results indicated that organizational culture had a significant positive effect on knowledge management and social capital. Furthermore, social capital had a significant positive effect on knowledge management confirming the mediating role of social capital. The current research contributes to the knowledge management literature by exploring a plausible explanation for the strong relationships between organizational culture and knowledge management. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of prestige sensitivity on mobile phone customer’s price acceptance in Vietnam and the mediating role of product knowledge and price mavenism on this relationship. We used the convenience sampling method for data collection via questionnaires with a sample of 605 consumers who purchased mobile phones. The collected data was analysed by applying a structural equation modelling method. The result indicates that prestige sensitivity has both direct and indirect effects on price acceptance via product knowledge and price mavenism. The findings suggest that prestige sensitivity can be used as a market segmentation criterion for mobile phones when making price decisions and providing customers with adequate information could improve price acceptance.
