Demographic changes, and in particular the aging of the population, affect the changing needs of the labor market. Many reports and analysis indicate that it is a very important challenge for both governments and employers to activate people aged 45+, prepare them for retirement and longer activities, acquire new qualifications and competencies and compete with young people. It is all about adapting older employees to function within the changing ways of innovative production techniques and methods, so that they can remain productive in the work environment for as long as possible. It should be assumed that people over 45 years of age by investing in their own professional development will become more competitive in the labor market and thus will not allow marginalization and stigmatization of this age group. Initiatives limiting the negative effects of aging populations and contraction of labor resources as well as the elimination of unemployment among people over 45, including training, improving their competences or retraining, are very important here.

The study deals with identifying trends in the labor market in Ukraine, which is significantly influenced by threatening external and internal factors. The authors prove in the article that the incentives to reform this market today are significantly weakened by the negative effects of the crisis, which covers all spheres of life — from the economy to health care. It was found that the negative trends of the world and national markets contribute to the decline in the quality of human capital of labor resources, worsen the structure of the national labor market. The multi-vector nature of the crisis leads to the formation of a multiplicative effect — its various aspects increase the influence of each other. As a result, the negative pressure of the crisis factors on the national labor market is increasing with growing pace. The authors prove that the old extensive approach of managers to the use of labor resources of Ukraine has outlived itself. The existing model and approaches to its reform given the current scale of threatening trends do not meet the criteria of effectiveness. Ukraine needs a new labor market model. The efforts of government officials and the influence of the business community should be aimed at forming a model whose goals will be: stabilizing the economic, social and political situation in Ukraine, reducing the risk of uncontrolled growth of social tensions, forming a flexible response to neutralize the effects of the crisis. It is pointed out that the lack or even slowdown of the reaction to the existing negative tendencies inherent in the labor market in Ukraine can cause significant and drastic social and political changes. The originality of the article is stipulated by the need to identify labor market trends under the influence of the crisis and the situation on the world labor market, identify factors that lead to the consolidation of an extensive labor market model in a permanent crisis, identify factors that contribute to this and negative consequences for the economy.

In the spring of 2020, the world was hit by the COVID-19 pandemic, which had a significant impact on both the economic and noneconomic spheres of everyone's life. The paper deals with the impact of the pandemic on the labour market in the Slovak Republic. The analysis examines data of selected indicators at the level of districts and regions. The results showed a more negative impact on men than on women. The economic activity rate of men decreased on average by 1 p.p., while that of women only by 0.5. At the same time, labor markets in eastern and central Slovakia were affected more than those in western Slovakia. The results of the analysis indicate that people with higher education are more resilient to the corona crisis than those with no or low education, specially women with higher education are more resilient to the corona crisis. A paradoxical outcome of the analysis is the finding that the number of workers in the 55+ age group in the labor market increased for both genders and across the country. The focus of economic policy should be to mitigate the negative effects of the corona crisis through measures aimed at creating jobs and increasing employment.

An attempt was made to assess the effects of aging, regional differences, and draught load applied on draught potential of Umblachery cattle, an important draught breed of South India. Age had a highly significant effect (p less than 0.01) on all morphometric traits, stride length, and significant effect (p less than 0.05) on pulse rate after work. The middle age group (5.0 to 7.5 years) with more substantial stride length was identified as the critical productive age group for draught ability. Regional differences had a highly significant (p less than 0.01) influence on stride length, horsepower, and a significant effect (p less than 0.05) on pulse rate after work. The optimum draught load with which Umblachery breed could give uniform and maximum power output was found to be around 75 to 78 kg.

This research was conducted to determine the Perception of Accounting students at FEB UNCEN. Data in this study were obtained from questionnaires with accounting student respondents who were in the sixth semester (6). Respondents numbered 91 people who were sampled in this study. The results of this study indicate there are no differences in views between students who choose careers as public accountants, educating accountants, corporate accountants and government accountants, regarding the factors of Financial Awards, Work Environment, Labor Market Considerations andPersonality. As for the factors of Professional Training, Professional Recognition, and Social Values, there are different views.

This study aims to analyze the factors which influence accounting students in choosing accounting career as auditor at both private and government instutions. The factors are financial reward, work environment, labor market consideration, social values, professional recognition, family environment, and personality. The population in this study is accounting students in state and private university of Indonesia. The sample is determined based on the non-probability sampling method. The data used in this study are primary data. This study used a questionnaire 177 respondents. The method of analysis is multiple linear regression analysis. The results showed that work environment, social values, professional recognition, and family environment have no significant effect on career selection as auditor. While the financial reward, labor market consideration, and personality have a positive significant effect on career selection as an auditor.

The conditions of the pandemic have left an imprint on the development of many socioeconomic processes, including the process of reproduction of labor resources. The consequences of the pandemic on the labor market have yet to be assessed, but today it is already possible to draw interim conclusions regarding emerging trends, transformation or strengthening of old ones. In this regard, it is important to assess in advance the structural changes of the labor market in order to timely manage the processes of formation and distribution of the labor force. Processes in the labor market, in turn, are a consequence of changes in demographic factors and, in turn, are an impetus for the development of economies and society as a whole, which emphasizes the importance of studying the current situation in the labor market, assessing it and forming predictive development scenarios.

The transformation of the importance of vocational education and training, the determining the development trajectories occur due to the structural changes that are under the influence of technological factor changes. Especially, digitalization, automation, robotics, the artificial intelligence, the transition to industry 4.0, the changing nature of consumer demand directly affect the restructuring of the labor market. The listed factors accelerate the development of new professions in demanded areas and the disappearance of outdated ones, they stimulate the improvement of needed skills and meet the modern requirements from employers for educationalщl programs. The purpose of research paper is to identify the new trends in the training of competitive young employees, taking into account the conditions of digitalization of economy The research methodology includes general scientific and theoretical research methods. Methods of tabular representation of data is used as statistical tool. Originality of the research is that It is relevant and necessary to develop new model of training young specialists, involving the implementation of educational, research, innovative and entrepreneurial, spiritual and moral activities that meet modern trends. Authors carried out the analysis of the level and quality of training of national personnel in terms of ensuring the future needs of the labor market of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the conditions of digitalization of economy. It includes the factors affecting the reproduction of competitive national personnel and their provision with high-quality jobs, identifying new trends in the training and retraining of professional personnel and improving their skills, examining the features of training competitive national personnel in the system of ensuring the balance of labor resources and jobs.  The paper was prepared within the grant project of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan AP09260584 «Employment restructuration in Kazakhstan in terms of social and economic tensions».

With demographic change, organizations today are seeing changes in societal make-up translated to the composition of their workforce. In the future, younger and older employees will have to work together synergistically to achieve good performance. The authors argue that it will be largely up to leaders to prevent the negative effects of age diversity, i.e. social categorization and intergroup bias, and to facilitate the positive effects of age diversity, i.e. the sharing of unique knowledge resources held by young and old. The authors argue that certain leadership behaviors and especially their combinations have great promise in leading diverse teams, and highlight why they should be used in conjunction with positive beliefs about diversity.

Forty male lambs of the mountain Greek breed were used to evaluate the effect of age at slaughter on carcass characteristics and composition. The slaughter of lambs was carried out at the age of 30, 45, 60, 75 and 90 days. The slaughter procedure, carcass dissection and carcass composition were realized according to the standard method of CIHEAM-AGRIMED programme. The results of this work showed that the lambs of different age groups did not differ in dressing percentage significantly. The proportion of muscles showed a tendency of increase with the increasing slaughter age but the differences were not significant. The proportion of total fat in carcass increased with the increasing slaughter age from 20.84 to 23.59% for the age group of 30 and 90 days, respectively (P < 0.05). On the contrary, as the age at slaughter increased, the proportion of bones decreased (P < 0.05). Subcutaneous, intermuscular, perinephric and pelvic fats increased with the slaughter age, but only the subcutaneous fat was influenced significantly (P < 0.05). Among the different commercial cuts proportions of long leg, first 5 ribs and shoulder decreased, while those of last 8 ribs-loin and breast-flank increased (P < 0.05). The overall results suggest that the slaughter age of lambs of the mountain Greek breed should be increased from the present ~45 days to more advanced age of 75 or 90 days in order to improve the farmers’ profits without serious negative effects on the quality of carcasses or meat of lambs.

After the fall of the Berlin Wall on November 9, 1989, and the collapse of the German Democratic Republic, a sudden, unexpected, and massive influx of East German migrants hit the entire West German labor market. The context is well suited for investigating whether immigration influences natives' wages and how the effects depend on product and labor market conditions. We propose direct measures of potential migration with exogenous variation, compare migrants to natives with similar capabilities, and segment the labor market along predetermined margins. We find that immigration can have negative effects on the wages of natives. These effects surface when product and labor markets are competitive but not under regulations that restrict the entry of firms and provide workers with a strong influence on firms' decision making.
