Aural haematoma is the collection of blood or serum within the cartilage plate of the ear pinna which presents as fluctuant, fluid-filled swelling on the concave surface of one or both the pinna (Fossum, 2007). It occurs as a result of constant shaking and rubbing of ear due to otitis, ectoparasitism, ottorrhoea, foreign bodies, hypersensitivity and allergic dermatitis. This chronic irritation, constant shaking and rubbing of the ear leads to rupture of the pinnal blood vessel resulting in haematoma formation (Ahiwar et al., 2007).

identally swallowed dentures are one of the most common foreign bodies of upper digestive tract in elderly people and it can lead to severe complications. Complications ranging from oesophageal rupture, mediastinitis, haemetemesis, and recurrent laryngeal nerve injury has been reported. Therefore, an early detection and an early intervention are important. We are reporting a case of accidentally swallowed denture. After the diagnosis of an impacted denture was made, upper GI Oesophagoscopy was done and it was removed in emergency OT. This case highlights the importance of an early treatment in order to avoid complications.

Dentists often find foreign bodies in the primary dentition of children who habitually place objects in their mouths. The objects are frequently embedded in exposures that result from carious or traumatic lesions or from endodontic procedures that have been left open for drainage. Such bodies are often detected on routine radiographs and, less frequently, during clinical examination. We report a case of a 6-year-old boy who had inadvertently embedded a screw in his mandibular right first primary molar and had forgotten about it until it became symptomatic. The screw was impacted in the exposed pulp chamber due to a large carious lesion in the affected molar. This case report considers the possible medical and dental consequences of placing foreign bodies in the mouth.

The incidence of esophageal impacted denture is proportionately increasing as there is increasing number of people wearing denture in current days. Impacted denture has to be removed as soon as possible because the delay can lead to complications. The successful removal of impacted denture in the esophagus in a patient is reported, with a review of the literature. A 52-year-old Malay lady complained of dysphagia with no history of foreign body ingestion. Following unsuccessful attempts of removal via a rigid esophagoscope, open surgery was performed. Without further delay, the impacted denture was removed by cervical esophagotomy, and the patient recovered uneventfully. Esophageal foreign bodies are usually removed by endoscopy. However, in situations where this appears potentially hazardous, such as with impacted denture, open surgical extraction that is promptly performed is a safer option.International Journal of Human and Health Sciences Vol. 05 No. 03 July’21 Page: 362-365

Background. Metallic foreign bodies in the lung could be recognized using radiography. Non-metallic foreign bodies make difficulties because they are not as dense as metals. The aim of this report was to present the case of nonmetallic foreign bodies in the lung. Case report. A soldier of the Federation Army of Bosnia and Hertzegovina, injured in the explosion in 1998 was presented. The soldier was subjected to thoracic drainage and surgery tretment of the wound. After one year, the pulmologist treated him with tuberculostatics because of hemoptysis and pulmonary infiltration shown by a radiogram. This therapy had no effects, and the pulmologist presented this case to the thoracic surgeon who made thoracotomy removing a piece of wood (13 ? 2 ? 0.7 cm), 20 different-size pieces of wood, and a piece of textile from the lung. Conclusion. Patients with penetrating explosive lung injuries without metallic foreign bodies shown by a radiogram, with complications as hemoptisis, lung abscess, bronchiectasis, obstruction of the bronchus, chronic pneumonia should be subjected to thoracotomy for removing suspected foreign bodies without resecting the lung.

The number of children swallowing magnetic foreign bodies has been a significantly high for the past decades, increasingly needing endoscopic or surgical interventions. Case report. In our observation, a 12-year-old girl swallowed magnetic balls from childrens designer 10 days prior to hospital admission. Foreign bodies (5 balls) were found during X-ray examination in the projection of the cecum. Conservative therapy carried out for 4 days had no success, thus colonoscopy was performed to remove foreign bodies. Foreign bodies were fixed to the intestinal wall, and attempts to separate them were unsuccessful. When a medical magnet was placed outside the body in the right iliac region, a chain of magnetic balls detached from the intestinal wall and made it possible to be captured in a trap loop and be removed. The girl avoided a laparotomy with an opening of the colon. Conclusion. External use of a medical magnet is effective for navigation and assistance during colonoscopic extraction when magnetic foreign bodies are found in the colon.

In the urinary tract, foreign body is most commonly found in the urinary bladder. It is commonly self-inflicted but can rarely be introduced by other person. Various types of foreign bodies have been reported, which includes infusion set, aluminum rod, gold chain, pearl, fish, pencil etc. Here we report a case of a 28-year young man who gave the history of forceful introduction of a long wire of mobile charger into the bladder by another person. It could not be removed by himself and by the local doctors. Then he was referred to Enam Medical College & Hospital and subsequently was removed by suprapubic cystostomy.
