Nas últimas décadas um novo paradigma tem se construído na conservação ambiental, fundamentado na valorização dos elementos da geodiversidade ao mesmo nível de importância da biodiversidade e sociodiversidade. A impossibilidade de conservar todos os elementos da geodiversidade exige a identificação dos locais que apresentam singularidades e expressividade do ponto de vista de seus valores. O inventário de geossítios é uma das etapas principais no processo de geoconservação, no entanto, poucos trabalhos descrevem metodologias para sua realização. O objetivo principal deste trabalho é elaborar propostas de frameworks para a região do Cariri paraibano, com o intuito de serem utilizadas em estudos para a inventariação da geodiversidade da região. As propostas baseiam-se na metodologia de Abordagem Estratégica. Foi utilizado o mapa topográfico e geológico do Estado da Paraíba, sobrepondo-se a divisão administrativa municipal, em um Sistema de Informações Geográficas, resultando em 04 propostas em diferentes níveis de complexidade, considerando as diferentes litologias e suas idades geológicas. Os resultados obtidos são o passo inicial para pensar a temática da geodiversidade na região do Cariri paraibano de uma forma sistemática, viabilizando o uso das informações produzidas por parte dos gestores do território em prol de um melhor aproveitamento dos recursos naturais da região. Palavras-chave: Geodiversidade, Inventário de geossítios, Cariri paraibano ABSTRACT In the last decades a new paradigm has been built on environmental conservation, based on valuing of geodiversity elements at the same level of importance of biodiversity and sociodiversity. The impossibility to preserve all the elements of geodiversity requires the identification of sites that have singularities and expressiveness in terms of their values. The inventory of geosites is one of the main steps in the geoconservation process, however, few studies describe methods for its realization. The main objective of this paper is to develop proposals for frameworks for the region of Cariri Paraibano, in order to be used in studies to inventorying the geodiversity of the area. The proposals are based on the methodology of the Strategic Approach. It was used topographic and geological map of the State of Paraíba, overlapping the municipal administrative division, in a Geographic Information System, resulting in 04 proposals at different levels of complexity considering the different lithologies and its geological ages. The results are the first step to analyze the theme of geodiversity in the Cariri Paraibano in a systematic way, allowing the use of such information by territory managers to make better use of natural resources in the region.  Keywords: Geodiversity, Inventory of geosites, Cariri paraibano

Geographic information system (GIS) software packages can be prohibitively expensive, causing many to shy away from mapping and spatial analysis. This 7-page fact sheet written by Jeffry M. Flenniken, Steven Stuglik, and Basil V. Iannone III and published by the UF/IFAS School of Forest Resources and Conservation introduces the reader to a free GIS software package called Quantum GIS (QGIS), walking the reader through simple GIS processes that can be used to visualize spatial patterns of importance to a variety of fields, including natural resources, agriculture, and urban planning. Learn how to create a land-cover map for a county of interest and create heatmaps that illustrate the density of a given attribute (Florida Springs for this example). Abstract — Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG) atau Geographic Information System (GIS) adalah sebuah sistem yang didesain untuk menangkap, menyimpan, memanipulasi, menganalisa, mengatur dan menampilkan seluruh jenis data geografis, misalnya informasi-informasi yang berkaitan dengan sumber daya alam, maka informasi geografis akan berisi mengenai lokasi suatu daerah dan informasi mengenai sumber daya alam yang terkandung pada daerah tersebut. Kabupaten Kepulauan Talaud merupakan salah satu daerah terpencil yang berada di Provinsi Sulawesi Utara, Indonesia yang berbatasan dengan daerah Davao del Sur, Filipina disebelah utara, Ibu Kota Melonguane. Dengan merancang dan membagun sistem informasi geografis mengenai potensi sumber daya alam di Kabupaten Kepulauan Talaud berbasis web, dapat memberikan informasi data-data potensi sumber daya alam di Kabupaten Kepulauan Talaud. Dengan menggunakan metode Waterfall dalam membuat suatu sistem informasi menggunakan bahasa pemprograman PHP, HTML dan MYSQL. Kata kunci — GIS, Potensi, SDA, SIG, Talaud, Web. Abstract — System Information Geographic (SIG) or Geographic Information System (GIS) is a system designed to capture, store, manipulate, analyze, organize and display all types of geographic data, such as information relating to natural resources, geographical information will contain the location of an area and information about the natural resources it contained in the area. Talaud islands Districts is one of the remote areas located in North Sulawesi Province, Indonesia bordering the Davao del Sur, Philippines region to the north, of capital Melonguane. By designing and Building geographic information system on the potential of natural resources in the web based talaud island district, can provide information of potential natural resource data in Talaud Islands District. Universitária, nº 3780, Altos do Paraíso, 18610-034, Botucatu – SP, Brasil, 1 [email protected]; [email protected]; [email protected]; 4 [email protected]   RESUMO: Este trabalho teve como objetivo mapear as classes de uso e ocupação da terra e análise morfométrica da bacia hidrográfica do Córrego Santo Antônio, no distrito de São Francisco Xavier, São José dos Campos, São Paulo, com a utilização do Sistema de Informação Geográfica (SIG) ArcGIS versão 10.3, a carta topográfica do município de Monteiro Lobato- SP e ortofotos do projeto Mapeia São Paulo. Foram avaliados diversos parâmetros morfométricos como coeficiente de compacidade, índice de circularidade, densidade de drenagem, ordem dos cursos d’água, comprimento total dos cursos d’água e o uso e ocupação da terra. A bacia possui de 520,7ha e tendo o formato alongada, favorecendo o escoamento superficial, maior energia erosiva e baixa propensão a ocorrência de inundações. Os elementos físicos apresentam conservados devido a Área de Proteção Ambiental (APA), assegurando a sua preservação O uso e ocupação da terra compreendem em área urbana, sedes rurais, estrada rural, área agrícola, pastagem e vegetação natural, sendo o uso mais significante a vegetação natural (470 ha) representa 90,2%, seguido pela pastagem (40 ha) no total de 7,68% da área total da bacia hidrográfica. Tais resultados auxiliaram na decisão do planejamento e gerenciamento dos recursos naturais, diante das legislações ambientais.   Palavras-chaves: Sistema de Informação Geográfica, morfometria, conservação ambiental.   MORPHOMETRIC EVALUATION AND USE AND LAND OCCUPATION OF SANTO ANTONIO WATERSHED - SAO FRANCISCO XAVIER (SP)   ABSTRACT: The aim of this work was to map the land use,occupation classes and morphometric analysis of the Santo Antonio stream watershed, in Sao Francisco Xavier district, Sao Jose dos Campos, Sao Paulo, using the Geographic Information System (GIS) - ArcGIS version 10.3, the topographic map of the municipality of Monteiro Lobato-SP and orthophotos of Mapeia Sao Paulo project. Several morphometric parameters were evaluated as compactness coefficient, circularity index, drainage density, order of watercourses, watercourses total length , land use and occupation. The watershed has 520.7 ha and your elongated shape favor superficial runoff, higher erosive energy and low flooding propensity. Physical elements are conserved due Environmental Protection Area (APA), ensuring their preservation. The land use and occupation comprises urban an rural areas, rural roads, agricultural areas, pastures and natural vegetation. From the total of watershed area, natural vegetation (470 ha) represents 90.2%, followed by pasture (40 ha) totaling 7.68% . The main objectives in the geographic information system applications for zoning of forest areas based on the ministries of forestry and land capability is to determine the broad allocation of forest land in Bandung Regency based on Ministerial Decree 79/2001 on the basis of analysis with analytical capabilities of BPDAS land so as to provide a common perception in spatial planning and resource management natural resources in Bandung Regency. Research is done by quantitative method using Geographic Information System. Area difference of forest zone based on Ministerial Decree 79/2001 to BPDAS land capability is 69,709.009 ha or 26.042 kms and 26.042 kms. The result of research providing recommendations to decision makers in Bandung Regency associated with the analytical model and the Ministerial Decree 79/2001 SK model BPDAS analysis of land capability so that spatial planning and management of natural resources can be more synergistic to achieve sustainable development that takes into account the principles sustainable principles, optimal, harmonious and balanced.

Indonesia is an archipelagic country with numbers of natural resources including bays. As a closed estuary, bay has a strategic role as one of the ecological resources and environmental services. Saleh Bay is an outstanding bay of West Nusa Tenggara province which is situated between Sumbawa regency and Dompu regency. The study aimed to explain the criteria for the determination of a bay based on UNCLOS and bathymetry system by using Geographic Information System (GIS). The results of the identification indicated that the Ocean Map issued by Dishidros had not entirely referred to the criteria of UNCLOS in determining an area as a bay, in which an indentation is regarded as a bay if its total area is larger than the area of t he semi-circle whose diameter is a line drawn across the mouth of that indentation. Subsequently, spatial analysis found out that the depth of the waters in Saleh Bay can be classified into eleven classes, which are: (1) 0 – 10 meter with area of 294.27 km2, (2) 10 - 20 meter with area of 205.45 km2, (3) 20 - 30 meter with area of 259.45 km2, (4) 30 - 40 meter with area of 146.25 km2, (5) 40 - 50 meter with area of 137,83 km2, (6) 50 - 60 meter with area of 148.19 km2, (7) 75 - 100 meter with area of 57.08 km2, (8) 100 - 150 meter with area of 73.78 km2, (9) 150 - 200 meter with area of 109.46 km2, (10) 200 - 300 meter with area of 533.42 km2 , and(11) >300 meter with area of 134.89 km2.

The magnitude of tourism potential and diversity of tourism in Pesisir Barat District, making the attraction for tourists in Pesisir Barat District. It is needed a tourism planning in the mapping of marine ecotourism area in Pesisir Barat District, beauty of nature, and the interest of foreign tourists are not hindered by the attributes - ecotourism attributes that are inadequate for the purpose of the prosperity that has a big impact for the province and the country. The purpose of this research is to design the zoning of marine ecotourism area in Pesisir Barat regency. The method used is Community Based Analysis Method and SWOT Analysis based on Geographic Information System. Based on the analysis, this regency has 30 areas that have the potential to be developed. It can be concluded that special attention is needed from the government in arranging space and territory in natural resources owned by Pesisir Barat regency.
