This study presents a Brazilian teaching-learning experience in basic education where game development is used to promote both digital and scientific literacy throughout the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC). Focused on students’ cognitive aspects, the approach presents a pedagogical architecture based on systems development. Thus, it was possible to catalyze convergence between interest in the Science curricular program and the result of knowledge acquisition  - such as skills development - by its means. The experiment was carried out centered on genetics studies where students collaboratively produced a digital game, improving in school assessment performance as an outcome. Therefore, we corroborate the effectiveness of creating games as an educational strategy able to optimize aspects of creativity, communication, collaboration, logical reasoning, problem-solving, abstract thinking and resilience.

Educational strategies are designed to cope with and fulfill the multifarious pedagogical and educational needs of teachers and learners. Moreover, no educational plan can possibly yield the required results without incorporating suitable instructive strategies. This research paper advocates the role and importance of schemas in learning new forms of knowledge and data in the perspective of class room teaching-learning. Cognitive approach is adopted to understand how students learn new forms of knowledge and experiences through different mental processes, quite unlike that of behaviorism. The concept of schema helps us understand how learners can link new pieces of information to the already existing knowledge in their minds. The notion of ‘Constructivist Approach’ has been extracted from the field of educational psychology for triangulation. Extracts are taken from the textbooks of English used in matriculation and intermediate through purposive sampling. Their analysis shows that schemas can play a vital role in enhancing the learning experience and making new forms of knowledge a permanent part of the memory of students which is the ultimate goal of education.

The paper focuses on the problem of students` universal skills development while teaching foreign languages for professional communication. Ways to enhance efficiency of teaching/learning are proposed and tested among the students specializing in “Legal Support of National Security”.

The present study provides a description of the model of interactive digital pedagogy for remote areas and its impact on pedagogical satisfaction and academic achievement of students. This pedagogical intervention was designed to enrich and supplement the teaching-learning experience in remote and underprivileged schools through the use of technology. An interactive online teaching-learning system was set-up using a digital pedagogy. 150 school students and 80 prospective teachers from three higher secondary schools of Madhya Pradesh and Tamil Nadu participated in the study. Pedagogical satisfaction and academic achievement of the school students who studied in this set-up were examined. The results revealed that active learning, technological competence and learner autonomy were enhanced in an online environment when compared to an offline environment.

The study is devoted to the organization of the teaching/learning content of visual art and self-expression process in practice. The article, based on theory, explains creative self-expression in the context of pupil's meaningful learning, based on the new education policy and the developed guidelines in basic education. The individual experience of prospective primary school teachers and their understanding of self-expression in visual art has been clarified during the reflection and pedagogical observation in the study process in methods of teaching visual art which led to stating the research problem. The theoretical account offered in the article reveals pedagogical possibilities for prospective teachers to organize purposefully self-expression classes in visual art during the teaching practice so that the pupil, learning visual art without professional literacy in art, improved his/her transversal skills acquiring the experience of self-guided learning, critical thinking and problem-solving, innovation, cooperation, and civic participation.

While countries are facing different stages in their COVID-19 infection rates, worldwide there are millions of students affected by universities’ facilities closures due to the pandemic. Some institutions have enforced strategies to transfer some courses to a virtual modality, but many Dental Schools have been challenged to deal with a situation which requires emergency measures to continue the academic course in the middle of lock-downs and social distancing measures. Despite the fact that the number of online academic programs available, especially graduate programs, has increased in diverse modalities, this pandemic forced e-learning processes to develop abruptly. The likelihood of using e-learning strategies in dentistry was substantiated in the scientific literature and an overview of these opportunities is presented. Additionally, the experience of the University of Costa Rica Faculty of Dentistry is presented, as it was evident that some of the key elements in a e-learning environment needed a quick enhancement and initiation of some processes was required. First, it was necessary to categorize the academic courses depending on their virtualization's possibility (curricula analysis and classification), to better understand the extent of the impact and the work needed to contain, as far as the possibilities allowed, negative consequences on students learning process. Second, teachers needed further training in the application of virtual strategies which they hadn’t used before. do Third, an evaluation of the students’ conditions and needs was conducted in a form of a survey. Finally, teachers and students activated the available virtual platforms. For many Dental Schools, this virtualization process is an ongoing progress although it was abruptly imposed, but this moment indeed represents an enormous opportunity to move forward and get immerse in the virtualization environment as a teaching/learning experience.

This paper presents and discusses the activity "Pill of science: the knowledge is in the air!" developed under the Institutional Program of Initiation to Teaching Scholarship (PIBID/CAPES), at a public school in Uberaba, Brazil, in partnership with the PIBID-Physics-UFTM group, with an emphasis on their contributions to the training of those involved, undergraduates in Physics. The objective of the activity developed was to promote a dynamic that would allow, on the one hand, to listen to the concerns and questions of Basic Education students in the face of their doubts regarding scientific knowledge and, on the other hand, to provide new experiences in the classroom by teachers in training. To this end, Basic Education students deposited questions (here called "pills") about topics related to the Natural Sciences in a box of doubts, for later socialization in the classroom with the undergraduates in Physics. We show that listening and discussing students' perceptions of their view of scientific knowledge is a promising way to awaken their interest in science, being the first steps towards scientific literacy, in addition to being a strategy to sensitize future teachers to consider these approaches in their future pedagogical practices.
