This paper presents the results of research into the impact of information technology (IT) on individual and organizational performances in companies in Serbia: job satisfaction (JS), communication satisfaction (CS), organizational commitment (OCM), organizational trust (ITW), organizational learning (OL) and financial performance (FP). The data were obtained from a questionnaire completed by N = 380 middle managers from 102 companies in Serbia. The methods used for statistical data processing were: descriptive statistics, correlation analysis and the t-test. The main conclusions of the study are: 1. Information technology items in companies in Serbia are slightly above average values. 2. The level of information technology in the company is an indicator of the level of organizational performance in the company. 3. The level of information technology in the company has direct and indirect positive impacts on the level of a number of organizational performances in the company.

The behavior of e-customers is quite unpredictable, which raises additional questions about this topic. The purpose of the paper is to conduct research on e-customers, understand the impact of marketing actions on e-customer behavior and understand the unpredictability of e-customers. Research was conducted on the Mlinar web shop that sells cakes. 284 respondents/buyers had the opportunity to solve questionnaires about behavior after purchase and consumption of product. Different methods have been used in the analysis - descriptive statistics, multivariate analysis (reliability analysis, correlation analysis and linear regression) and analysis of variance (ANOVA). The results showed that most examinees were satisfied with online shopping on the Mlinar web shop and that they are impulsive when online shopping. Saving time is the main reason to buy on a web shop. Research proved that variables such as firm reputation/perceived value, e-satisfaction and online services positively affect the creation of e-loyalty in their users.

<p>This action research was conducted in order to investigate the students experience and perception towards using the video making assessment approach when presenting their oral communication assessment. This was to see the impact on the students compared to presenting the traditional way in-class. Forty-five (45) respondents undertaking DUE 3012 - Communicative English 2 in Polytechnic Balik Pulau, Information Technology Department, participated in this study. The respondents had to make a video based on Chapter 1- Product and Services whereby it will be evaluated as their oral presentation assessment. A Likert Scale questionnaire was distributed and the data were tabulated using descriptive statistics. The outcome of the study was that the respondents had a positive perception towards this approach and it helped them to build their confidence level to use the English Language. Besides that, the respondents felt that this approach of assessment was successful and beneficial in helping them to understand the chapter better. <strong></strong></p>

Building on the social exchange theory, this paper proposes a model of the effects of workplace spirituality on job performance through the mediation effects of work engagement, affective commitment, and organizational trust. This quantitative-based research relies on structural equation modeling as an analysis technique. Data were collected from 207 faculty members working in the Palestinian higher education sector. Significant mediation effects of work engagement, affective commitment, and organizational trust were found in the relationship between workplace spirituality and job performance of academic staff. This research is original in two ways. First, very few studies examine the impact of workplace spirituality on job performance, a variable that has received less attention in the spirituality literature than organizational performance. Second, the study advances the literature on workplace spirituality by examining the concept in a non-Western academic context.

The paper examined the impact of external business environment on organizational performance of Micro, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises in Nigeria. It also reviewed literature on MSMEs, business environment and organizational performances. Secondary sources of data were utilized for the study. The findings from reviewed literature showed that the external business environment (economic, political, legal, socio-cultural environment, demographic, natural, technological, global and financial environment) have influence on MSMEs operators in Nigeria. It was also discovered that there exists relationship between SMEs and the environment in which it occurs. The study concluded that SME operators should understand all these types of external business environment and their implications on organizational performance of their business activities in order to identify opportunities and threats to their businesses and update their knowledge, understanding and skills to meet the predicted changes in realm of their enterprises.

In this study the researcher tries to understand the impact of new technology on employee’s work efficiency in the banking sector. 10 bank’s employees were concerned in Bangalore city and questionnaires contains 75 questions has issued to the employees. Initially researcher used descriptive type of analysis and later correlation analysis has used to get the findings. The banking area is a unit which is a victimisation of the information technology usage and application of information technology is a competitive tool that was attempted to as a new application to try and perform their regular banking activities with efficiency

IT’s evolution from the mainframe era to the Internet era has been accompanied by a shift in the strategic emphasis of IT. In the early days, IT’s contribution to the organization was largely information provision, monitoring and control. Current research at the intersection of IT and strategic management increasingly highlights the impact of IT in terms of informing strategic decisions and enabling information flow vis-à-vis all manner of organizational processes. We believe these fields are ripe for research focusing on their complementary impact on organizational performance.

This article presents an empirical study of the effect of middle manager quality on organizational performance. Using 6 years of data from more than 1,000 Texas school districts, the author finds that quality middle managers positively impact performance. In exploring the relationship between quality middle and upper managers, she finds that their interaction leads to improved organizational performance. This article makes two contributions to the public management literature. First, it introduces a measure of middle manager quality that allows researchers to explore the ways middle managers affect organizational performance. Second, the findings reveal that public management research has underestimated the impact of management.
