The purpose of this article is to strengthen the impact of research and development at university colleges by offering models for professional value creation. The legal framework of the university colleges strongly emphasized that research and development must contribute to the value creation of the professionals. Three distinct models are offered as a mean to qualify the research and development activities: A model of professional value creation as a system, a production factor model and evidence-based practice as a model for value creation.

Dynamics in the higher education, internalisation and global economic turmoil drastically influences the research outcomes with implications to the global ranking of higher education institutions (HEIs) and the universities. National education policies and the ranking of higher education institutions (HEIs) are entwined and mutually influence each other. In recent times, the global ranking by various organisations like QS, THE, and government agencies become proxy to conclude the excellence of a university. National Global, regional and national socio-economic-political concerns are influencing the functioning of universities with respect to international student recruitments. International student admissions also greatly contribute to the funds for the university and economy of the nations, simultaneously. This research paper is an investigative study of value creation in the university education systems and the impact of ranking and higher education policies. In this paper, authors have highlighted a couple of key points. First of all, the universities have to acclimatize as per the global rankings standards and reinforce to become value creation centers, with more responsible towards the demands of society. The authors have highlighted about the convolution and challenges universities are facing and measures to deal with. The conscientious approach to the facades of new knowledge areas in the new global socio-economic milieu gives a tangible and relevance to the execution of responsible research and innovation with value co-creation in university systems.

The main objective of this paper is to examine the impact of related/unrelated merger and acquisition (M&A) on value creation and research and development (R&D) of Indian non-financial sector companies. This study focuses on whether related M&A outperforms unrelated M&A in the context of value creation and R&D. The sample of the study includes 64 companies to evaluate the significance of relatedness and unrelatedness between target and acquiring companies of the Indian non-financial sector using panel data from the period from 2015 to 2020. The study employs a logistic regression model, which is a predictive model employed wherein the response variable is categorical. The idea of logistic regression is to establish a relationship between variables and the probability of a given outcome. The results of our outcome reveal that partner familiarity affects the post-acquisition value creation and R&D. Further, the findings of the study acclaim that related M&A outperform unrelated M&A. The study indicates that related M&A create positive value but influence negatively to R&D. The findings of the study have several implications for the managers and policymakers who need to understand the dynamics of related/unrelated mergers to take a valid judgment before making merger and acquisition decisions

The implementation of e-governance in universities is considered a crucial matter because of integrating roles and achieving community development and institutional excellence. Despite this, there is a shortage of studies and research that deals with e-governance and institutional excellence, especially in Saudi universities. Hence, this is a pioneer in the context of Saudi Arabia. This research is aimed to identify the impact of e-governance on institutional excellence at the University of Ha'il in light of the Kingdom's 2030 vision. The study has relied on a random sample of 400 male and female students from various university colleges. The questionnaire was used as a means of collecting data after confirming its validity for measurement. Then the questionnaire was distributed electronically due to the suspension of the study because of the Corona pandemic. The data was analyzed using statistical methods appropriate to the data's nature. It has included averages, standard deviations, simple correlation coefficients, and multiple regression coefficients. The study has reached several results. The most important are the e-governance dimensions and institutional excellence criteria. These are effectively applied at the university. However, significant importance is not given to infrastructure, beneficiaries' satisfaction, and positive correlational relationships between all e-governance dimensions and institutional excellence criteria. The combined dimensions of e-governance are 80.9 % of the variance in institutional excellence. This means 19.1% is not included in the study due to other factors. The research has suggested taking an interest in the university's infrastructure, especially the internet. It has emphasized benefiting the beneficiaries' views in developing the university and supporting external community partnerships.

This paper reports on a collaboration between the authors at the University of Brighton (UK) and the University of Delhi, South Campus. The collaboration came about as a result of the EU-India Cross-Cultural Innovation Network collaboration programme, a project involving several universities and organizations across Europe and India. The authors of this paper both lecture in the area of computer networking. Following meetings in Delhi, they agreed to work together to produce a Web-based networking resource to be generated by the students of both institutions. The first phase of development involved the mounting of Web-based tutorials and documents produced by the students. The second phase will centre on the development of a knowledge base generated by the interaction of the students within an asynchronous forum. Running alongside these phases will be a collaborative bookmarking system, a database in which the students will post URLs of Web-based resources that they find useful in their studies. This system incorporates a form of collaborative filtering, an evolutionary mechanism which seeks to embody the qualities that students value in resources to provide a dynamic set of ratings to assist in the selection of those of most use. The planning of such a system raises some unusual issues, not least in the process of collaboration itself, with concerns as diverse as technical compatibility, institutional and cultural differences, timezones and the reliability of email. Limited bandwidth between our institutions causes special problems with the interactive elements of the resource. We present the methods we are investigating to reduce the impact of this. The fact that the students share an intellectual discipline but are otherwise separated by a cultural and geographical divide is expected to lead to fruitful diversity in thinking and approaches to problem-solving.DOI:10.1080/0968776020100204
