Bluefin Tuna has become one of the most critically endangered marine species, but it is still legal to trade and consume in several countries. In order to protect this species from the enormous Chinese seafood market, China Biodiversity Conservation and Green Development Foundation (CBCGDF) has made huge efforts towards stopping the trade of this endangered species. Learning from JD. com, one of the e-commerce giants in China, planned to introduce this delicacy to Chinese consumers through its online platform, CBCGDF, along with other environmental organizations, had written several open letters to this platform. After receiving the open letters, JD.com quickly responded and officially announced that they would remove all the Bluefin Tuna products from the platform. All other Chinese e-commerce platforms have also followed and removed all the Bluefin Tuna products from their platforms. After this success, CBCGDF continues to actively seek for international cooperation with experts, professors, politicians and stakeholders and has developed an initiative called "Bluefin Tuna Coalition International (BTCI)". In addition, wishing to raise the public awareness of protecting endangered Bluefin Tuna and appreciate the prompt action of JD.com, CBCGDF announced that the “Bluefin Tuna Day” is set up on the June 12th of every year.

The Worker Holiday Fund (WHF) was set up just after the Second World War as a state-dependent organization that arranged recreation for Polish workers under the socialist doctrine. The communist authorities turned organized recreation into a tool of indoctrination and propaganda. This research aims to characterize the seaside tourism architecture in the Polish People’s Republic (1949–1989) against the background of nationalized and organized tourism being used as a political tool, to typify the architecture and to verify the influence of politics on the development of holiday architecture in Poland. The research methodology is based on historical and interpretative studies (iconology, iconography and historiography) and field studies. The research helped distinguish four basic groups of holiday facilities: one form of adapted facilities (former villas and boarding houses) and three forms of new facilities (sanatorium-type, pavilion-type and lightweight temporary facilities, such as bungalows and cabins). The study found that each type of holiday facility was characterized by certain political significance and social impact. Gradual destruction was the fate of a significant part of WHF facilities, which, in the public awareness, are commonly associated with the past era of the Polish People’s Republic (PRL) as an “unwanted heritage”.

AbstractDental extraction is a routinely carried out procedure in any dental set up. Even after the tremendous progress in the fields of preventive and restorative dentistry, exodontia remains to be a vital procedure. The increase in the public awareness regarding retaining their natural teeth has made exodontia an even more challenging procedure as more extractions are being carried out in elderly patients. With the increasing average age, the difficulty and complexity of the extraction procedure increases.This chapter exhibits the general overview of the challenging procedure called exodontia highlighting its various aspects like indications, contraindications, complications, etc. with a special mention about the procedure to be carried out in different scenarios and various technological advances in exodontia.

The article analyzes the current state and development trends of neurotechnologies in China's marketing. In particular, the following issues are raised: the role of emotions in the decision-making process on the purchase by the Chinese people, the degree of rationality of these decisions, the public awareness of China about neurotechnologies, its attitude to the use of neurotechnologies in marketing by Chinese firms for commercial purposes, etc. The results of the study showed that the role of emotions in the decision-making process on the purchase by Chinese consumers is underestimated. The functioning mechanism of the developed marketing stimuli is not well received by Chinese consumers, which limits the effectiveness of the applied neurotechnologies while improving marketing stimuli. Awareness of neurotechnologies and neuromarketing among Chinese residents is still low, but their attitude to the use of these technologies for commercial purposes is quite positive. Statistical analysis shows that a positive attitude may be related to the degree of awareness of neurotechnologies. The author developed recommendations to overcome the problems that impede the development of neurotechnologies in China's marketing.

Water   is essential for survival of all living organisms on the earth. Thus for human beings and plants to survive on land, water should be easily accessible. The term “Pollution” is generally refers to addition of any foreign body either living or non – living or deletion of anything that naturally exists. The basic Sources of Water pollution causes due to Culmination into lakes, rivers, ponds, seas, oceans etc. Domestic drainage and sanitary waste, Industrial drainage and sewage, Industrial waste from factories, Dumping of domestic garbage, Immersion of Idols made of plaster of Paris, Excess use of Insecticides , pesticides, fungicides, Chemical fertilizers, Soil erosion during heavy rains and floods, Natural disasters, tsunami etc. General pollutants  which are also caused for water pollution  which include Organic, Inorganic, and Biological entities, Insecticides, Pesticides, Disinfectants ,Detergents, Industrial solvents, Acids, Ammonia fertilizers, heavy metals, Harmful bacteria, Virus, Micro –Organisms and worms, Toxic chemicals. Agricultural lands become infertile and thereby production also drops, Spread of epidemic diseases like Cholera, Dysentery, Typhoid, Diarrhea, Hepatitis, Jaundice etc. The  basic responsibility of the Government, NGOs, National Pioneer scientific Research Institutions may conduct  research oriented programs on control of water pollution by create  awareness among the public through mass media and Environmental Education on recycling units,  and  water treatment plants must be established both at domestic levels and Industry levels, Every citizen must feel responsible to control water pollution. There have been many water pollution prevention acts that have been set up by the governments of the world. But these are not enough for permanent water pollution solutions. Each of us needs to take up the responsibility and do something at an everyday at individual level. Otherwise we can’t survive in a society forever in a future.

Here the authors present the variation that exists in income inequality across the states, and variation in public awareness or concern about income inequality as measured by public opinion polls. Though politicians may decide to tackle income inequality even in the absence of public concern about inequality, the authors argue that government responses are more likely when and where there is a growing awareness of, and concern about, inequality, which is confirmed in the analyses in this book. To examine this question in subsequent chapters, a novel measure of public awareness of rising state inequality is developed. Using these estimates, this chapter shows that the growth in the public concern about inequality responds in part to objective increases in inequality, but also that state political conditions, particularly mass partisanship, shape perceptions of inequality.

AbstractThe COVID-19 outbreak is asynchronous in US counties. Mitigating the COVID-19 transmission requires not only the state and federal level order of protective measures such as social distancing and testing, but also public awareness of time-dependent risk and reactions at county and community levels. We propose a robust approach to estimate the heterogeneous progression of SARS-CoV-2 at all US counties having no less than 2 COVID-19 associated deaths, and we use the daily probability of contracting (PoC) SARS-CoV-2 for a susceptible individual to quantify the risk of SARS-CoV-2 transmission in a community. We found that shortening by $$5\%$$ 5 % of the infectious period of SARS-CoV-2 can reduce around $$39\%$$ 39 % (or 78 K, $$95\%$$ 95 % CI: [66 K , 89 K ]) of the COVID-19 associated deaths in the US as of 20 September 2020. Our findings also indicate that reducing infection and deaths by a shortened infectious period is more pronounced for areas with the effective reproduction number close to 1, suggesting that testing should be used along with other mitigation measures, such as social distancing and facial mask-wearing, to reduce the transmission rate. Our deliverable includes a dynamic county-level map for local officials to determine optimal policy responses and for the public to better understand the risk of contracting SARS-CoV-2 on each day.

Cities around the globe are embracing the Healthy Cities approach to address urban health challenges. Public awareness is vital for successfully deploying this approach but is rarely assessed. In this study, we used internet search queries to evaluate the public awareness of the Healthy Cities approach applied in Shenzhen, China. The overall situation at the city level and the intercity variations were both analyzed. Additionally, we explored the factors that might affect the internet search queries of the Healthy Cities approach. Our results showed that the public awareness of the approach in Shenzhen was low. There was a high intercity heterogeneity in terms of interest in the various components of the Healthy Cities approach. However, we did not find a significant effect of the selected demographic, environmental, and health factors on the search queries. Based on our findings, we recommend that the city raise public awareness of healthy cities and take actions tailored to health concerns in different city zones. Our study showed that internet search queries can be a valuable data source for assessing the public awareness of the Healthy Cities approach.
