Nanoparticles are widely applied in all aspects of modern life because of their unique features such as small size and high surface area. Several types of research have been carried out to discover the feasible detrimental impacts of Nano-particles on human reproduction. The purpose of this study was to examine the impact of zinc oxide nanoparticles in mature male rats through examining LH, FSH, and testosterone sex hormones. Therefore, 30 Naked Mole-Rat Initiative (NMRI) rats were divided into 5 groups. Different doses of zinc oxide nanoparticles (250, 500 and 700 mg.kg-1) were intra peritoneally injected to animals only once. Then, the serum level of luteinizing hormone (LH), Follicle Stimulating Hormone (FSH), and testosterone hormones were measured using Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) method after 21 days. The results were analyzed by ANOVA and Tukey tests. The results indicated that zinc oxide nanoparticles doses caused a significant increase in FSH and testosterone level of blood (Respectively) in 250 and 700mg.kg-1 in comparison with the control group. Moreover, this research illustrated that zinc oxide nanoparticle can cause a dose-related increase in Testosterone and FSH hormones levels while causing no significant change in LH hormone level.

AbstractIn this era, nanotechnology is gaining enormous popularity due to its ability to reduce metals, metalloids and metal oxides into their nanosize, which essentially alter their physical, chemical, and optical properties. Zinc oxide nanoparticle is one of the most important semiconductor metal oxides with diverse applications in the field of material science. However, several factors, such as pH of the reaction mixture, calcination temperature, reaction time, stirring speed, nature of capping agents, and concentration of metal precursors, greatly affect the properties of the zinc oxide nanoparticles and their applications. This review focuses on the influence of the synthesis parameters on the morphology, mineralogical phase, textural properties, microstructures, and size of the zinc oxide nanoparticles. In addition, the review also examined the application of zinc oxides as nanoadsorbent for the removal of heavy metals from wastewater.

Nanoparticles have made a steady progress in all the branches of science. It is used in biological applications including nanomedicine. Zinc oxide is also known as Zincite generally seen in a crystalline form. Zinc oxide nanoparticles are multifunctional. It has effective antibacterial activity. This study focuses on the synthesis of zinc oxide nanoparticle by the sonochemical and green method, characterized by XRD, SEM and to determine the antibacterial efficacy of green and chemical techniques. Results prove that green synthesized Zinc oxide nanoparticle shows the enhanced biocidal activity. In addition the current study has demonstrated that the particle size variation and surface area to volume ratio of green synthesized Zinc oxide nanoparticles are responsible for significant high antibacterial activity. From the result obtained it suggested that the biogenic green fabrication is a better choice due to eco-friendliness.

In order to meet the needs of ecological buildings, it is necessary to improve the speed of sewage treatment. Therefore, this study analyzed the impact of zinc oxide nanoparticles on the water supply and drainage of ecological buildings. In the experiment, zinc oxide nanoparticles were selected and the experimental environment was set up to study the treatment effect of nano particles on water supply and drainage wastewater. The experimental results show that: the application of ZnO nanoparticles in water supply and drainage can effectively remove trace elements in sewage and reduce the eutrophication of groundwater; zinc oxide nanoparticles can change the morphology of mold group in sewage and inhibit the growth of sewage. The application of ZnO nanoparticles in the water supply and drainage of ecological buildings can effectively improve the water purification rate and improve the recycling efficiency of water resources.

Abstract Although Zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO NPs) in low doses have potentially positive effects on reproduction by their antioxidant effects, the defensive role of Zinc nanomaterials against environmental pollutants that affect male reproduction has not been adequately studied. We designed our study to assess the impact of ZnO NPs towards reproductive dysfunction induced by Benzo[α]Pyrene (B[a]P). Forty-eight mature male rats were randomly distributed into six equal groups: G1; negative control, G2&3- positive control I &II (either 10 or 30 mg ZnO NPs / kg BW); G4. (150 mg Bap / kg BW), G 5 & 6 (Co- administrated B[a]P with different concentrations of ZnO NPs). Oxidative stress biomarkers, semiquantitative real-time PCR for steroidogenic enzymes (CY11A1, StAR, and 3β- HSD), testosterone levels and histopathology in the liver, kidney, and testicles were examined for this investigation. B[a] P treated group showed significant deterioration in all reproductive parameters and induced oxidative stress. Co-administration ZnO NPs eased oxidative stress and effectively increased the expression of CY11A1, StAR, and 3β- HSD and improved histopathological changes in the examined organs. Our results using the selected doses and with Nano particle properties confirm that ZnO NPs have an obvious ameliorative effect against B[a] P.

Aim: To study the anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activity of chromium Picolinate mediated Zinc oxide nanoparticles. Introduction: Chromium is required by the body in a noticeable amount, even though it’s mechanism and required dietary allowance is not known clearly. It is found in supplements. It is expected to enhance insulin production and weight loss. Zinc oxide also has its own beneficial role in various biomedical applications. In the present study the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory potential of the chromium picolinate mediated Zinc oxide nanoparticle is evaluated. Nanoparticles are of great interest nowadays in research and study. The outcomes of using metal nanoparticles were fascinating as color pigments in luster and glass technology. Materials and Methods: DPPH assay for antioxidant activity and Protein denaturation assay was performed for anti-inflammatory activity. Results and Discussion: Chromium Picolinate mediated Zinc oxide nanoparticles showed good anti-inflammatory and antioxidant activity at higher concentration against standard.

Zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO NPs) are among nanoscale materials, attracting increasing attention owing to their exceptional set of characteristics, which makes these engineered nanoparticles a great option for improving the quality and effectiveness of diagnosis and treatment. The capacity of ZnO NPs to induce reactive oxygen species (ROS) production, DNA damage, and apoptosis represents a promise for their use in both cancer therapy and microbial treatment. However, their intrinsic toxicity together with their easy entrance and accumulation in organism have raised some concerns regarding the biomedical use of these NPs. Several studies have reported that ZnO NPs might induce cytotoxic effects on the male reproductive system, compromising male fertility. Despite some advances in this area, the knowledge of the effects of ZnO NPs on male fertility is still scarce. Overall, a brief outline of the major ZnO NPs biomedical applications and promises in terms of diagnostic and therapeutic use will also be explored. Further, this review intends to discuss the effect of ZnO NPs exposure on the male reproductive system and speculate their effects on male (in)fertility.

Zinc and iron oxide nanoparticles were synthesized using natural bio-polymeric templates viz. cellulose and sodium alginate. Cellulose fibres from different sources viz. filter-and blot-papers, were used as templates for this purpose. The synthesized Zinc oxide nanoparticles were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), fourier transform infra-red spectra (FT-IR), UV-Visible spectrophotomer (UV-Vis) and scanning electron microscopic (SEM) studies. XRD studied confirmed the formation of highly crystalline hexagonal wurtzite phase of ZnO in all the synthesized nanoparticles. The average crystallite sizes of the nanoparticles obtained using different templates, were well below 50 nm. Characteristics of the zinc oxide nanoparticles obtained by template-based techniques were compared with those obtained by co-precipitation technique. Influence of various templates on the characteristics of metal oxide nanoparticles was studied.
