The interaction of the dimeric complex [Pt(µ-Cl)(Saf)]2 (1) (Saf: deprotonated safrole) with the salt iPr2-bimy·HBr in the presence of Ag2O in acetone solvent was studied. The obtained products were mixed complexes of [PtCl(Saf)(iPr2-bimy)] (2) and [PtBr(Saf)(iPr2-bimy)] (3) with different molar ratio (PI, PII, PIII)  depended on the used molar ratio of 1:salt:Ag2O. In the case of this ratio being 1:2:1.1, the mixture PI with 75% for the complex 2 was obtained. When concentration of the salt was increased, the product was PII with the molar ratio of 2 : 3 of 1 : 3. However, when both the salt and Ag2O were increased at the same time, 2 and 3 in PIII had equal molar proportions. The two main factors affecting the 2 : 3 molar ratio are the different solubility of AgCl and AgBr and the different coordinating ability of Cl- and Br- ligands. The structure of 2 and 3 was determined by 1H NMR spectra and single crystal X-ray diffraction. The results reveal that Saf in 2 and 3 coordinates with Pt(II) via C=Colefinic and C5 of benzene ring. Meanwhile, iPr2-bimy coordinates with Pt(II) through CNCN and is in trans-position compared with the C=Colefinic bond.

This article indicates the specific manner in which early modern literature is exploited in contemporary media. It focuses on the interaction involving the trans-position of philosophical texts to the domain of laughter embedded in the everyday life of the modern recipient. Selected passages of John Donne’s (1572-1631) prose and poetry serve to illustrate how an old literary work encourages new creativity, how it transcends the boundaries set by a given epoch, culture and form, to undergo a specific thematic and structural transformation. What seems particularly interesting in this process is the conversion of philosophical sadness into a useful joke incorporated in, inter alia, the transition from meditation to motivation, from inspiration to action. In other words, this article examines laughter provoked at the interface between a profound philo-sophical message and popular entertainment which combines images and words and activates the intellect as well as the senses and emotions. Such foundations give rise to a transmedia message being socially functional – not only as comic relief, but also as a didactic tool for shaping attitudes.

: A series of palladium(II) complexes incorporating 1-substituted-3-methyl-3- phospholenes as the P-ligands were prepared from phospholene oxides by deoxygenation followed by complexation with PdCl2(PhCN)2. The two 1-substituted-3-methyl-3- phospholene ligands were trans position to each other in the Pd(II)-complexes. As the ligands contain a P-stereogenic center, the Pd-complexes were obtained as a 1:1 mixture of two stereoisomers, the homochiral (R,R and S,S) and the meso (R,S) forms, when racemic starting materials were used. An optically active Pd-complex containing (R)-1-propyl- 3-phospholene ligand was also prepared. Catalytic activity of an aryl- and an alkyl-3- phospholene-palladium(II)-complex was evaluated in hydroalkoxycarbonylation of styrene. The alkyl-derivative showed higher activity and selectivity towards the formation of the esters of 3-phenylpropionic acid. However, the overall activity of these PdCl2(phospholene)2-type complexes was low.

The reaction of [PdCl2(CH3CN)2] (1) with either 1,3-bis(2,4,6-trimethylphenyl)imidazolium chloride (IMes·HCl) or 1,3-bis(2,6-diisoproylphenyl)imidazolium chloride (IPr·HCl) in the present of Ag2O afforded two mixed monocarbene-CH3CN complexes, namely trans-[PdCl2(CH3CN)(IMes] (2) and trans-[PdCl2(CH3CN)(IPr)] (3), with the high yield (85-90%). The structure of 2 and 3 were elucidated by ESI mass, IR, 1H NMR and 13C NMR spectra. For 2, single-crystal X-ray diffraction study was also carried out. The results show that the CH3CN in 2 and 3 coordinates with Pd(II) via the N atom, the deprotonated imidazolium salts are bound up with Pd(II) via the C atom (NCHN) and occupy trans-position in comparison with the CH3CN.

The reactions of cis-[Pt(NH3)2Cl-cytosine] to form cis and trans dichloro products have been investigated theoretically by the aid of DFT method at the B3LYP/LANL2DZ level. It has been demonstrated by the estimation of activation energies the labile nature of the NH3 in the trans position. Investigation of the reaction between guanine and cis-platin was also performed. The transition states of the first two reactions were found by involving a restrained optimization of the reactant complexes and the product complexes.

The authors have developed a new method of seroma formation prevention after laparoscopic allohernioplasty in patients with postoperative ventral hernias. The results of the study showed that trans- position of hernia sac into the abdominal cavity and fixation to the unmodified abdominal wall around the perimeter of the hernial orifice can reliably eliminate Grajewo cavity and thereby to eliminate the possibility of seroma formation in the postoperative period. Federal service for intellectual property (Rospatent) decided to grant a patent for this method of seroma formation prevention at the surgery of postoperative ventral hernias as for the invention “Method of laparoscopic plasty of ventral hernias” (№2017120227/14(035085) from 17.01.2018).

Abstract Single crystals of [C(NH2)3][HC(NH2)2]PbI4 (GuFAPbI4) and [HSC(NH2)2][HC(NH2)2]PbI4 (TuFAPbI4) were obtained from solutions of the binary halides in HI or DMF. Large crystals grown from HI are dark-brown while single phase powders synthesized from DMF are orange. The crystal structure of GuFAPbI4 (I2/m, Z=12, a=14.3147(2), b=12.7591(2), c=25.7377(4)Å), β=101.459(1), 4256 refl., 196 param., R1=0.024, wR2=0.061) represents a 2D perovskite with a new motif similar to Ruddlesden-Popper phases (AX)m(A′BX3)n and m=n=1. The layers are formed by corner-sharing PbI6 octahedra. According to the cut-out of the 3-D perovskite the structure of GuFAPbI4 can be assigned as a (210)-oriented representative. So one octahedron is linked in trans-position and two in cis-orientation. The structure of TuFAPbI4 (P21/n, Z=12, a=14.4208(6), b=12.7545(7), c=26.3982(11) Å), β=100.609(3)°, 6808 refl., 275 param., R1=0.048, wR2=0.096) represents a simple distortion variant of GuFAPbI4. GuFAPbI4 and TuFAPbI4 were further characterized by vibrational spectroscopy and optical spectroscopy. The optical band gap was determined as 2.34 eV in agreement to the observed color. So both compounds are not suitable as a dye in the PSC perovskite solar cell. Similar to other Pb-containing 2D perovskites there is a significant excitonic peak (2.31 eV). TuFAPbI4 represents the first example with protonated thiourea as an organic cation. Therefore, we characterized protonated thiourea iodide and introduce protonated thiourea [HSC(NH2)2]+ as a new cation for hybrid halogeno perovskites.

Abstract This paper is aimed on the calculation of the electrical parameters of the overhead transmission lines. Standard trans- position and untransposed calculations are presented, also with results on the existing power line on 110 kV voltage level and known measured values of the electrical parameters. These measured parameters are used as the reference values. A presumption is made, that through more complex calculation one can achieve better results. The real results achieved are presented and compared with an ideal presumption
