For English toxic comment classification, this paper presents the model that combines Bi-GRU and CNN optimized by global average pooling (BG-GCNN) based on the bidirectional gated recurrent unit (Bi-GRU) and global pooling optimized convolution neural network (CNN) . The model treats each type of toxic comment as a binary classification. First, Bi-GRU is used to extract the time-series features of the comment and then the dimensionality is reduced through global pooling optimized convolution neural network. Finally, the classification result is output by Sigmoid function. Comparative experiments show the BG-GCNN model has a better classification effect than Text-CNN, LSTM, Bi-GRU, and other models. The Macro-F1 value of the toxic comment dataset on the Kaggle competition platform is 0.62. The F1 values of the three toxic label classification results (toxic, obscene, and insult label) are 0.81, 0.84, and 0.74, respectively, which are the highest values in the comparative experiment.

Abstract Microstructure and microtexture of rapidly solidified undercooled Ni-Cu alloys were investigated. The characteristic undercooling of Ni80Cu20 alloy was determined as 45K, 90K and 160K. Dendrite deformation due to rapid solidification led to strong deformation microtexture. Due to recrystallization upon annealing after recalescence, many subgrains were formed in the microstructure. Further, annealing the quenched alloy at 900°, new microtextures and subgrains were formed, which was due to recrystallization and dislocation network rearrangement. The results of comparative experiment proved the recrystallization mechanism of the microstructure refinement in the non-equilibrium solidification structure of the undercooled binary alloy

Whether in intelligent transportation or autonomous driving, vehicle detection is an important part. Vehicle detection still faces many problems, such as inaccurate vehicle detection positioning and low detection accuracy in complex scenes. FCOS as a representative of anchor-free detection algorithms was once a sensation, but now it seems to be slightly insufficient. Based on this situation, we propose an improved FCOS algorithm. The improvements are as follows: (1) we introduce a deformable convolution into the backbone to solve the problem that the receptive field cannot cover the overall goal; (2) we add a bottom-up information path after the FPN of the neck module to reduce the loss of information in the propagation process; (3) we introduce the balance module according to the balance principle, which reduces inconsistent detection of the bbox head caused by the mismatch of variance of different feature maps. To enhance the comparative experiment, we have extracted some of the most recent datasets from UA-DETRAC, COCO, and Pascal VOC. The experimental results show that our method has achieved good results on its dataset.

Vase life is one of the most important factors that determines the marketability of cut flowers and is greatly affected by the water balance. The vase life of cut hydrangea flowers varies greatly depending on the postharvest solution management. Therefore, this study investigated the vase life of freshly harvested hydrangea (Hydrangea macrophylla ‘Verena’) according to the three types of preservative solutions (tap water (TW), 1% Chrysal Professional Ⅲ (CPⅢ), 2% sucrose + 250 mg/L 8-hydroxquinoline + 100 mg/L citric acid (SHQC)) and the combination solutions (pretreatment; TW, 0.1% Chrysal RVB (RVB), Floralife Quick Dip (FQ), transport; TW, CPⅢ, Floralife Clear (FC), preservative; CPⅢ, FC) for each distribution stage (pretreatment–transport–consumer). In the preservative comparison experiment, compared with the control, SHQC and CPⅢ significantly increased the vase life in 2019 (0.7 days, 3.4 days) and 2020 (1.4 days, 3.1 days), respectively. In the comparative experiment, by solution combination, the group (RVB, FQ) using the pretreatment significantly extended the vase life by 5.9 days and 4.6 days compared with the TW. These results confirm the importance of preservative solutions and pretreatment, suggesting that appropriate pretreatment and preservatives should be used to improve the marketability of cut hydrangea flowers.

However, the vase life of cut hydrangea flowers varies greatly depending on the postharvest solution management. It was also determined that the same treatment increased overall solution uptake, maintained water balance longer, and increased relative fresh weight. These results confirm the importance of holding solutions and pretreatments, suggesting that appropriate pretreatments and preservatives should be used to improve the marketability of cut hydrangea flowers.

The most typical problem in an analysis of natural language is finding synonyms of out-of-vocabulary (OOV) words. When someone tries to understand a sentence containing an OOV word, the person determines the most appropriate meaning of a replacement word using the meanings of co-occurrence words under the same context based on the conceptual system learned. In this study, a word-to-vector and conceptual relationship (Word2VnCR) algorithm is proposed that replaces an OOV word leading to an erroneous morphemic analysis with an appropriate synonym. TheWord2VnCR algorithm is an improvement over the conventional Word2Vec algorithm, which has a problem in suggesting a replacement word by not determining the similarity of the word. After word-embedding learning is conducted using the learning dataset, the replacement word candidates of the OOV word are extracted. The semantic similarities of the extracted replacement word candidates are measured with the surrounding neighboring words of the OOV word, and a replacement word having the highest similarity value is selected as a replacement. To evaluate the performance of the proposed Word2VnCR algorithm, a comparative experiment was conducted using the Word2VnCR and Word2Vec algorithms. As the experimental results indicate, the proposed algorithm shows a higher accuracy than the Word2Vec algorithm.

Abstract This paper proposed a new method of high-speed electrical discharge machining (EDM) using rotating short arcs under composite field. By the Lorentz force, the electric force and the high-speed rotation of the tool electrode, rotating short arcs are generated between the tool electrode and the workpiece, which can greatly improve the material removal rate of difficult-to-cut materials such as titanium alloys and superalloys. Firstly, the machining equipment used to generate rotating short arcs was constructed. Secondly, single arc discharge experiment was carried out to investigate the motion characteristics of rotating short arcs. The result shows that the arcs can rotate between the tool electrode and workpiece under composite field. Then, the experiment of processing GH4169 was conducted to explore the machining characteristics of rotating short arcs milling, which indicated that rotating short arcs can achieve a much higher material removal rate (MRR). Additionally, it’s found that the magnetic field also has influence on debris, which is beneficial to debris removal. Finally, a comparative experiment was carried out. The MRR of rotating short arcs milling was three times than that of traditional EDM, and the tool electrode wear rate (TEWR) is only one-fifth of that of traditional EDM. The comparative experiment further verified that rotating short arcs milling can achieve higher MRR and lower TEWR.

Augmented reality (AR) scenes often inadvertently contain real world objects that are not relevant to the main AR content, such as arbitrary passersby on the street. We refer to these real-world objects as content-irrelevant real objects (CIROs). CIROs may distract users from focusing on the AR content and bring about perceptual issues (e.g., depth distortion or physicality conflict). In a prior work, we carried out a comparative experiment investigating the effects on user perception of the AR content by the degree of the visual diminishment of such a CIRO. Our findings revealed that the diminished representation had positive impacts on human perception, such as reducing the distraction and increasing the presence of the AR objects in the real environment. However, in that work, the ground truth test was staged with perfect and artifact-free diminishment. In this work, we applied an actual real-time object diminishment algorithm on the handheld AR platform, which cannot be completely artifact-free in practice, and evaluated its performance both objectively and subjectively. We found that the imperfect diminishment and visual artifacts can negatively affect the subjective user experience.
