Under the smart engineering system (SES), there is a huge demand for evaluating the efficacy of a large-scale networked intelligent perception system (IPS). Considering the large-scale, distributed, and networked system characteristics and perception task demands, this paper proposes a conceptual system for IPS efficacy evaluation and, on this basis, designs the architecture of the efficacy evaluation system. A networked IPS model is constructed based on domain ontology, an index system is quickly established for efficacy evaluation, the evaluation methods are assembled automatically, and adaptive real-time organization strategies are generated for networked perception based on efficacy estimate. After exploring these key technologies, a prototype system is created for the service-oriented integrated efficacy evaluation platform and used to verify and integrate research results. The research provides support for the efficacy evaluation theories and methods of large-scale networked IPS.

Objective: Peripheral Intravenous catheterization is a common clinical procedure that demands a high level of nursing competency. This study intends to assess the effect of nursing care protocol for peripheral intravenous therapy on knowledge and practice of registered nurses and the association between pretest knowledge scores and selected socio-demographic variables using King’s conceptual framework and Goal Attainment Theory. Methodology: One group- pretest-posttest design, was used with self - reports and observation methods to collect knowledge and practice data from 30 registered nurses selected by simple random sampling (lottery method). Structured questionnaire and checklist based on personal, interpersonal, and social system of king’s conceptual system was used to assess the knowledge and practice of registered nurses, respectively. Results: Even though 30% of the nurses had attended previous continuing education on peripheral intravenous therapy, only 3.3% had very good knowledge. There was a significant difference in the knowledge and practice after implementation of the nursing care protocol. The pre-test knowledge scores have association with attendance in previous continuing nursing education. Conclusion: Study findings reveals the advantages of protocol development and improved knowledge and practice of nurses, which in turn obviously increase the health status of the patients and quality index of the hospital. Recommendation: The novice nurses can be educated on the protocol as a hospital policy enhancing the effectiveness of nursing care. Its implication can be evaluated using nursing audit at periodic intervals. Keywords: King’s conceptual framework, Goal Attainment Theory, nursing care protocol, peripheral intravenous therapy, knowledge, and practice.

The relevance of the statistic is amazed by the economic problems of the galusies themselves, due to the coronavirus infection COVID 19, which put on the order of the day the need for a glance at the traditional forms of organizing high prices and for tourism before tourism. It is stated in the statute that there is no fate at the link with the pandemic of travel to mass mandates, which has changed by an order of magnitude, but the task of not only developing new tourist routes, but preserving the health of tourists has become urgent. In connection with the cim, the market of health tourism has become aware of global changes, and the traditional sanatorium-and-spa mortgages and resorts are ceasing to be a miracle of health and wellness in the minds of the kidnapped health tourism center. Such a transformation of resort centers is zoomed in by the changing character of drinking and health services and the challenge of the need for a healthy way of life. More and more people will try to avoid adopting a physical form and may be required by anti-stress programs that have suffered from a disease caused by a pandemic. It is important that people of the middle age, as they make an active change, and are often surrounded by an hour.

The way we talk about complex and abstract ideas is abundant in metaphors. Many research studies have shown that even the most subtle metaphor can have a significant influence on the way people try to tackle various social problems. Thus, the assumption is that metaphors are not just a simple rhetorical tool, but also have a profound effect on how we conceptualize reality and respond to important social issues. In the last two decades, scientists have studied the impact of metaphorical framing on political discourse from different research perspectives. Metaphors are often used for framing political topics, and these metaphorical frames are considered to affect the way people regard these issues, perceive the world, and act, on both the individual and collective level. In accordance with these research studies, in this paper, we will regard the metaphor as a cognitive tool that classifies our conceptual system and enables the understanding of our experiences. The objective of this paper is to examine the use of conceptual metaphors in media discourse on the corona crisis and the earthquake crisis caused by the quake in Petrinja. The research was conducted in three steps, following the methodology of critical metaphor analysis (Charteris-Black, 2004). In the first step, the identification of metaphorical expressions was performed by using a big data corpus of articles published by Croatian web-portals from the beginning of the pandemic (from January 2020 to April 2021) and after the Petrinja earthquake (from 29 December 2020). In the second step, the dominant conceptual metaphors employed in communicating the two crises were interpreted. The results of this interpretation are that war metaphors are ubiquitous in reporting on the COVID-19 disease pandemic, and the apocalypse metaphor is used in reporting on the earthquake. In the third step of the analysis, the reasons and implications of the occurrence of these metaphors are explained.

The article focuses on the study of semantics of comparisons as markers of basic emotions in Ukrainian heroic-fantastic fairy tales translated into German. In the fi eld of linguistics, the comparison transforms from logical to artistic correlating with the type of poetic thinking which forms, develops, changes, and evolves within the cultural and historical development of mankind in general and ethnos in particular. The methodological basis of the semantics of comparisons as markers of basic emotions is formed by the anthropocentric paradigm of modern linguistics (F. S. Batsevych, E. S. Kubryakova, and V. A. Maslova). The terminological apparatus of the study is outlined through the method of defi nitive analysis, whereas the semantic content of the apparatus is revealed through the method of etymological analysis with the use of the methods of comparative analysis. The methods of interpretive-textual and cultural-historical analyses were used to distinguish connotative and situational meanings relevant to the objectifi cation of basiс emotions. The application of the method of stylistic analysis of tropes allowed establishing the poetic features of comparisons and their stylistic color/stylistic neutrality as well as to better understand the idea of a heroic act. To reveal the mechanisms of the processes of materialization and diff erentiation of knowledge on basic emotions, elements of the method of modeling the conceptual system of the emotional state of a fairy-tale character have been involved. The author comes to the conclusion that etymology of the terms “heroism” and “fi ction” is diff erent and that the process of choosing the transformation of body shape correlates with the situation, esoteric knowledge, and magic of things around the world. Furthermore, in fairy tales, the man and nature form one whole, and people, plants and imaginary supernatural beings experience emotions and feelings. The classifi cation of semantic models of comparisons as markers of basic emotions is off ered, and the quality of emotional experience is traced. Key words: comparison, basic emotions, marker, semantics of comparisons as markers of basic emotions, fairy tale, heroic-fantastic tale, semantic model of comparison.

The article substantiates that in modern conditions the core didactic principle of higher education should be the transition from teaching to self-education, which is regarded by contemporary native researchers as the highest stage of education. Social trends in the world have, in their turn, actualized the need to revise the conceptual system of views on the theory and practice of language self-instruction. The result of expanding the range of research issues of training students for independent acquisition of foreign language knowledge, as a kind of alternative to institutional education, was the introduction into scientific circulation of new categories, concepts and terms. Along with theoretical developments, the practice of linguistic self-education is being actively improved. New and already known methods of independent mastering foreign languages are emerging. It is typical of foreign higher education that productive self-educational activities increasingly permeate all the basic elements of the educational process and become its defining feature. In particular, special courses on linguistic autodidactics are introduced in higher educational establishments, the so-called “independent study” becomes widespread, students develop their own individual curriculum, which is carried out through the student’s free organization of his/her educational process and so on. Thus, a new dimension in teaching foreign languages has been introduced into existing educational technologies, namely: “learning to learn”, which meets the recommendations of the Council of Europe. Up to date the fundamental scientific and theoretical base, which covers important aspects of theory and practice of foreign language self-education, has been formed in native pedagogical science. Contemporary researchers recognize the training of future professionals for lifelong learning as one of the main factors of implementing the latest paradigm of higher education. With that self-education in the field of foreign languages is considered as the basic factor of forming the secondary language personality. It is particularly important to work out methodological support and appropriate technologies of “learning to learn”, aimed at equipping students with necessary skills of foreign language self-education. Researchers also comprehensively study the peculiarities of the organization and modern methods of autonomous mastering foreign languages.

The article presents a study that allowed us to construct a cognitive map of modern English gastronomic advertising aesthetic discourse. The main features in the understanding of gastronomic advertising discourse by the representatives of the English-speaking community – gourmet aesthetes are analyzed. The research material for the modern English gastronomic advertising aesthetic discourse was the gastronomic Internet texts of the social network Instagram, which contained a particularly expressive specific aesthetic component. It is established that the mental framework of the cognitive space of a modern English gourmet esthete is formed by 48 significant discourse-creating autochthons-concepts (sensations, emotions, recipe, ingredient, taste and others). The separation of the constants of the concept system of modern English gastronomic advertising aesthetic discourse – generative autochthonous concepts was carried out through the inventory of texts, fixation of objectifiers of concepts and their grouping into semantic areas. To verify the objectivity of the facts, a quantitative method of calculation is used, the criterion χ2. With the help of linguo quantitative methods, system connections (strong, medium and weak) between the main autochthonous concepts (RECIPE – INGREDIENT, TRADITIONAL MEAL – TEA, EXPERIENCE – SATISFACTION and others) were established and significant autochthonous concepts in modern English gastronomy were identified. The components of the conceptual system of modern English-language gastronomic aesthetic discourse and their combination builds a unique representation in the form of a cognitive map. The study allowed to construct a cognitive map of the studied type of discursive practice, which reproduces its conceptual system and, thus, explains the main mental cores of its participants – modern English gourmet aesthetes: characteristics of products, feelings and emotions they evoke, the principle of healthy eating, demonstration of their own gastronomic preferences in social networks in the form of blogs, because the modern English-speaking aesthetic and gourmet world of social network is impossible to imagine without a blog, where it is important to post on the social network Instagram, which describes the author's experience and feelings and emotions from food (first of all, pleasure and happiness), which provide the aesthetics of the advertising text. Key words: discourse; advertising discourse; gastronomic discourse; aesthetic discourse, cognitive mapping.

"The research aimed at a comprehensive retrospective analysis of the development of “consonance and dissonance” as a musical and aesthetic category in physical and mathematical interpretation; defining the notion of consonance as a musical theoretical and aesthetic category, confirming the relevance of its use in physical and mathematical terminology to explain acoustic phenomena. Research methodology is based on the use of the retrospective method (or the retrospection method), which allowed identifying the theories of consonance and dissonance in the historical retrospective. The periodization method was used to find out individual stages in the development of science in order to discover the leading directions of scientific thought, identify new elements relating to various aspects of “consonance” and “dissonance”. The study of the retrospective review of the development of the notions of consonance and dissonance in the physical and mathematical interpretation involved an interdisciplinary method a way of organizing research work, providing for the interaction of music and mathematics in the study of consonance and dissonance. Scientific novelty. This study is the first to reflect the general tendency towards the mathematization of the humanities and the humanitarization of the physical and mathematical areas of modern culture. Some provisions of musical acoustics were clarified in the context of creating a harmonious conceptual structure. The article presents the author’s concept of clarifying the notion of phase in relation to the spectral structure of an audio signal based on the notion “slightly mistuned consonance”. Conclusions. A retrospective review of the development of the notions of consonance and dissonance in the physical and mathematical interpretation was carried out and presented as a comprehensive description and review of the formation of concepts in the temporal sequence of their creation. Retrospectiveness through a review of significant discoveries and achievements in music and natural science allowed tracing the formation of the theories of consonance and dissonance from the standpoint of the interdisciplinarity of modern knowledge in the humanities. The further process of the development of sound musical art technologies requires a significantly higher scientific level of their study, the creation of a coherent conceptual system based on modern physical and mathematical sciences as well as computer science to explain sound acoustic phenomena. Keywords: consonance, dissonance, mistuned consonance, overtone, harmonics, beats, phase, spectral component"
