The social transformations taking place in Russia influenced by socio-economic changes have led to a revision of many socio-pedagogical guidelines. Today the school as a leading social institution cannot solve educational problems effectively without interaction with various children's and youth public associations, which play an important role in the socialization of the younger generation, meeting its needs, self-realization and self-development. Young people feel a especial need for the activities of such associations because of their age characteristics young people are looking for recognition of their personality, dignity and respect for themselves. However, the modern youth movement in Russia is represented not only by organized structures, but also by an informal youth initiative. The importance of informal associations for the socialization of the younger generation is acquiring special attention today. Practice shows that the process of socialization of the younger generation is carried out mainly spontaneously, without proper coordination of the educational influences of various socio-pedagogical systems.

In Europe and across the world, many countries are turning to deliberative democracy to reform their constitutions, and in many others this question is high on the political agenda. Such transformation also shuffles quite radically the role of the citizenry regarding constitutional changes. Traditionally such changes are the sole responsibility of elected officials in collaboration with experts. With the deliberative turn, many more actors may be involved in the designing of constitutions, from citizens both individually and collectively in the forms of informal associations to various civil society organisations. The main aim of this paper is to analyse potential of deliberative democracy in Slovenian national setting, therefore authors are analysing a) framework of constitution making dynamics and b) most successful deliberative democratic tools and opportunities developed so far on both national and sub-national levels of the Slovenian government. As deliberative democracy is well known political phenomenon, we will start not by yet another theoretical pandemonium, but with less-known Slovenian contribution to the global development of deliberative model.

This chapter demonstrates the force and novelty of the movement among a generation of writers to raise the French vernacular to expressive heights that would surpass the prestige of Latin and Greek and rival contemporary Italian. The chapter also identifies leading writers who opposed this movement—whose opposition, indeed, only reinforces the conclusion that it was a veritable movement. It shows that it was not simply a matter of their writings but also their participation in a whole range of informal associations that underpinned this movement. The chapter finally turns to one of the most notable efforts of these writers: their commitment to the project of translating mostly ancient texts into a French that would appeal to an enlarged French readership.
