Fifth generation (5G) networks have a high requirement for low latency of data delivery. Information-centric networking (ICN) adopts the paradigm of separation of the identifier and locator. It is efficient in content distribution by supporting in-network caching and has the potential to satisfy the low latency requirement in 5G. Replica selection is a key problem to retrieving content in ICN. Prior research usually utilizes the nearest replica. However, using the nearest replica cannot guarantee the smallest content download delay. To exploit in-network caching better, we propose an enhanced replica selection approach, called ERS. ERS first uses a distance-constrained-based name resolution system to discover the nearby replicas. Then, the most appropriate replica is chosen according to a local state table that maintains the state of replica nodes within a limited domain. In addition to network distance and replica node load, ERS innovatively introduces the path congestion degree between requester and replica nodes to assist replica selection. With extensive simulations, the proposed approach shows better performance than the state-of-the-art methods in terms of average content download delay. Finally, the overhead of the proposed method is analyzed.

Rivest Cipher 4 (RC4) is one of most common stream cipher, but it experience many problem, such as, there is little combination between the plaintext and cipher-text. For this reason RC4 Cipher is vulnerable to a number of attacks. Thereupon, this paper proposes a new modification of the RC4 to strong it. This achieved by modifying key-stream generator based on linear equation with four state tables for generating random numbers. Key control is used for selecting one state table to apply # operation, then performing forward and backward effects to generate the key-stream that used in encryption and decryption. Being evaluated, the results obtained from the statistical probabilities prove that our proposed algorithm is more complex than the standard algorithm by using different key lengths. Also, our proposed RC4 pass the randomness in most metrics in NIST.

The JK flip flop is a flexible type of bistable elements that has extensive uses in digital electronics and control circuits. It is usually described by its characteristic equation or next-state table (used for analysis purposes) and its excitation table (used for synthesis purposes). This paper explores a variety of novel characterizations of JK flip flops. First, equational and implicational descriptions are presented, and methods of logic deduction are utilized to produce complete statements of all propositions that are true for a general JK flip flop. Next, methods of Boolean-equation solving are employed to find all possible ways to express the excitations in terms of the present state and next state. The concept of Boolean quotient is used to impose certain requirements so as to find particularly useful expressions of the excitations. Relations of JK flip flops to other types of flip flops are also explored. This paper is expected to provide an immediate pedagogical benefit, and to help facilitate the analysis and synthesis of sequential digital circuits.

This paper presents the essence of an examination of informativeness in the diagnostic information outputs expressed with multiple-valued logic. The diagnostic test required for the examination was completed on wind turbine equipment. The examination included a constant set of determined diagnostic output values. The DIAG 2 diagnostic system was used for the examination and the diagnostic test. DIAG 2 is a smart diagnostic system capable of any inference k of the set {k = 2, 3, 4}. The examination results were expressed in an Object State Table, separately for each k-valued logic of inference tested. Keywords: technical diagnostics, diagnostic inference, multiple-valued logic, artificial intelligence
