O objetivo do estudo foi identificar e analisar o que tem sido divulgado na mídia digital escrita sobre o tema Direitos Humanos na área da educação. Para isto foram coletadas reportagens publicadas no website  do jornal Folha de São Paulo no período de 2000 a 2016  utilizando-se o descritor direitos humanos. Os dados coletados foram organizados e preparados no programa Open Office e, com o apoio do software IRAMUTEQ (Interface de R Pour Analyses Multidimensionnelles de Textes et de Questionnaires): foram realizadas as seguintes análises: Análise de similitude, Análise Fatorial por Correspondência, Classificação Hierárquica Descendente e Nuvem de Palavras. Os resultados apontaram para seis classes sobre o tema proposto: políticas públicas para povos e comunidades; violência escolar; promoção de políticas públicas; paz mundial; educação formal em direitos humanos; ativismo estudantil. Concluiu-se que, apesar dos avanços  das questões legais e conceituais dos direitos humanos ligados à educação, ainda há um percurso desafiador e extenso para que esses direitos possam ser materializados na atualidade e contexto brasileiro.

Abstract Defining indoor environmental conditions that meet the needs and preferences of occupants in open space offices can be challenging since the same space might be occupied by people with different individual needs and preferences regarding what constitutes a comfortable work environment. This study presents outcomes of a set of longitudinal point-in-time comfort surveys that were designed to capture instantaneous preference votes about momentary environmental conditions twice a day covering all four major domains of IEQ. The surveys were disseminated during two weeks across three seasons (fall, winter, summer) to 31 occupants in a Swiss open space office and supplemented with environmental data simultaneously measured in-situ at the occupant’s desk level. These surveys (up to 670 responses per environmental domain) offered insights into the discrepancies of expressed environmental preferences with respect to measured environmental conditions in open space offices.

The community service undertaken aims to provide training to the reseacher in Province of Banten about the importance of producing quality scientific papers. Specifically, this training  provides  the  opportunity  for  participants  to  practice  directly  how  to  write  scientific  papers using Mendeley software for reference used in the paper. Mendeley is a computer and web program developed by Elsevier to manage and share research papers, search for research data, and work together online. Posts made with Microsoft Word, Open Office or LaTex can be linked to Mendeley software so that citations and reference lists (bibliography) can be arranged automatically. The activities carried out involve the reseacher  In province of banten. The response from the participants is positive which can be  seen from their active participation during the activity. They also find the training really useful to help them become more productive teachers by writing more scientific papers using Mendeley. Abstrak Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan ke peneliti di Provinsi Banten akan pentingnya menghasilkan karya tulis ilmiah yang berkualitas. Secara spesifik, pelatihan ini memberikan kesempatan ke para peserta untuk praktik langsung bagaimana menulis karya ilmiah dengan menggunakan software Mendeley untuk referensi rujukan yang digunakan dalam karya tulis. Mandeley merupakan program komputer dan web yang dikembangkan Elsevier untuk mengelola dan berbagi penelitian, mencari data penelitian, dan bekerjasama secara daring. Tulisan yang dibuat dengan  Microsoft Word, Open Office atau LaTex bisa dihubungkan dengan software Mendeley sehingga sitasi dan daftar referensi (bibliography) bisa disusun secara otomatis.  Kegiatan yang dilaksanakan diikuti oleh para peneliti di Provinsi Banten.  Peserta  merespon  kegiatan  ini  dengan  sangat  positif  yang  bisa  dilihat dari keaktifan mereka selama kegiatan berlangsung. Lebih jauh mereka merasa pelatihan sangat berguna dalam membantu mereka menjadi peneliti yang lebih produktif untuk menulis lebih  banyak karya ilmiah dengan menggunakan aplikasi Mendeley. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis penataan kelembagaan pada Sekretariat Daerah Kabupaten Konawe Utara. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan informan yang berjumlah 10 orang yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh melalui wawancara dan studi dokumentasi, data yang diperoleh ini kemudian dianalisis secara kualitatif melalui analisis kualiatatif model interaktif yang terdiri dari reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Penataan kelembagaan pada Sekretariat Daerah Kabupaten Konawe Utara belum efektif dan efisien secara menyeluruh, pada indikator penataan strukur organisasi masih terjadi overlapping di sub unit jabatan, pada indikator penataan teknologi dan penerapan E-Government di organisasi masih sangat terbatas,  pada indikator setting fisik  telah menerapkan model tata ruang kantor yang terpisah-pisah atau ruang kantor tertutup (closed open office) dan penataannya telah memperhatikan asas-asas penataan ruang kantor dengan cukup baik, kemudian pada indikator penataan sumber daya manusia untuk pengaturan dan penempatannya telah dilaksanakan memperhatikan prinsip merit system dalam memanajemen Pegawai Negeri Sipil. Kata Kunci: Penataan, Kelembagaan,  Kinerja Organisasi

PurposeBiocontaminants represent higher risks to occupants' health in shared spaces. Natural ventilation is an effective strategy against indoor air biocontamination. However, the relationship between natural ventilation and indoor air contamination requires an in-depth investigation of the behavior of airborne infectious diseases, particularly concerning the contaminant's viral and aerodynamic characteristics. This research investigates the effectiveness of natural ventilation in preventing infection risks for coronavirus disease (COVID-19) through indoor air contamination of a free-running, naturally-ventilated room (where no space conditioning is used) that contains a person having COVID-19 through building-related parameters.Design/methodology/approachThis research adopts a case study strategy involving a simulation-based approach. A simulation pipeline is implemented through a number of design scenarios for an open office. The simulation pipeline performs integrated contamination analysis, coupling a parametric 3D design environment, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and energy simulations. The results of the implemented pipeline for COVID-19 are evaluated for building and environment-related parameters. Study metrics are identified as indoor air contamination levels, discharge period and the time of infection.FindingsAccording to the simulation results, higher indoor air temperatures help to reduce the infection risk. Free-running spring and fall seasons can pose higher infection risk as compared to summer. Higher opening-to-wall ratios have higher potential to reduce infection risk. Adjacent window configuration has an advantage over opposite window configuration. As a design strategy, increasing opening-to-wall ratio has a higher impact on reducing the infection risk as compared to changing the opening configuration from opposite to adjacent. However, each building setup is a unique case that requires a systematic investigation to reliably understand the complex airflow and contaminant dispersion behavior. Metrics, strategies and actions to minimize indoor contamination risks should be addressed in future building standards. The simulation pipeline developed in this study has the potential to support decision-making during the adaptation of existing buildings to pandemic conditions and the design of new buildings.Originality/valueThe addressed need of investigation is especially crucial for the COVID-19 that is contagious and hazardous in shared indoors due to its aerodynamic behavior, faster transmission rates and high viral replicability. This research contributes to the current literature by presenting the simulation-based results for COVID-19 as investigated through building-related and environment-related parameters against contaminant concentration levels, the discharge period and the time of infection. Accordingly, this research presents results to provide a basis for a broader understanding of the correlation between the built environment and the aerodynamic behavior of COVID-19.

Matematika menjadi salah satu pelajaran yang tidak disukai bagi kebanyakan siswa karena dianggap sulit. Sehingga berakibat pada kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika siswa yang kurang memuaskan atau masih tergolong rendah. Alternatif pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa digunakan model pembelajaran VAK dan AIR berbantu media pembelajaran Open Office Impress. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui keefektifan model pembelajaran VAK dan AIR berbantu Open office impress terhadap kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas X SMA Islam Plus Asis Penawangan. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik cluster random sampling sehingga didapatkan tiga kelas secara acak yang digunakan sebagai sampel penelitian. Desain penelitian ini adalah Posttest Only Control Design. Data penelitian ini diperoleh melalui post test. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan uji anava, dan uji scheffe’. Data hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Terdapat perbedaan rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran VAK berbantu media Open office impress, model pembelajaran AIR berbantuan media Open Office Impress dan model pembelajaran konvensional. (2) Kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran VAK berbantu media Open office impress lebih baik daripada kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. (3) Kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran AIR berbantuan media Open Office Impress lebih baik daripada kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran konvensional. (4) Tidak ada  perbedaan rata-rata kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa yang menggunakan model pembelajaran VAK berbantu media Open office impress dengan model pembelajaran AIR berbantuan media Open Office Impress.

In modern architecture, highly glazed commercial buildings account for considerable amount of energy, specifically in cold and hot climates because of heating, cooling, and lighting energy load demand. Abatement of this high building energy is possible by employing semitransparent photovoltaic (STPV) window which has triple point advantages as they control the admitted solar gain and daylight and generates benign electricity. Integration of internal light shelves (ILS) to this STPV window assists in controlling visual comfort. Thus, this study aims to evaluate the impact of a nonuniform layout of double-glazing (DG) low-e STPV and DG low-E argon-filled clear glass integrated into a fully glazed open-office facade combined with ILS in cardinal orientations under Riyadh, London, Kuala Lumpur, and Algiers climates. Comprehensive energetic and radiance simulations were conducted to evaluate three groups of STPV configurations. The first group replaced the glazing area with amorphous silicon (a-Si) modules with different transparencies; the second and third groups changed only 75% and 50% of the glazing area, respectively, with STPVs integrated with the ILS. The results revealed that the integration of a-Si modules did not meet the visual comfort requirements but obtained the maximum saving in the east-west axis. It was also found that the optimum design on the south-facing facade with the nonuniform facade achieved 50% of STPV10 coverage in clear glazing windows combined with ILS; the energy saving ratios comparing the reference models were 76%, 83%, 65%, and 70% in Riyadh, London, Kuala Lumpur, and Algiers, respectively. Thus, the integration of STPVs with ILS is considered a more efficient way and effective solution to reduce the possibility of glare discomfort.
