This article explores the function of the ceramic cottage industry as a means of conserving local culture. This descriptive-qualitative study presents the efforts of ceramic craftsmen in Purwakarta, West Java, Indonesia in preserving their culture. With the theory of structural functionalism, it was found that there were still religious elements and traditions that participated in the preservation of this culture, even though the times had changed to modern. Because of that local tradition, there must be a lot of conservation efforts from the government so that the culture is not lost in the days. Even so, there are still many who appreciate both at the national and community levels for the results of the local culture.

Perkawinan dini bukan hal tabu dilakukan di Madura. Banyak pasangan menikah diusia muda. Dalam Undang-undang perkawinan No. 16 Tahun 2019 bahwa perkawinan bisa terlaksanan jika mempelai sudah berusia 19 tahun. Namun mereka cenderung menambahkan usia dalam identitas perkawinan tanpa memohon dispensasi nikah. Ini dilakukan untuk menghilangkan rasa maloh atau tade’ ajhinah di masyarakat yang disebabkan Marriage by Accident dan mendapatkan legalisasi hukum. Dari permasalahan tersebut akan dianalisa bagaimana fenomena data forgery dalam pernikahan dini perspektif Fungsionalisme Struktural? Penelitian ini mengguakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan studi kasus, perolehan data menggunakan metode interview, observasi dan documentasi. Hasil penelitian; 1). Perkawinan dini dilaksanakan oleh pasangan “sebelum usia 19 tahun “. Dengan cara menambahkan usia di identitas perkawinanya sebab Marriage by Accident, karena menjadi beban keluarga yang dapat menimbulkan rasa maloh atau tade’ ajhinah. 2). Fungsionalisme struktural data forgery dalam perkawinan dini; Adaptation; proses habituasi para aktor dengan sistem sosial di masyarakat adalah dengan cara memalsukan usia perkawinan. Goal Attainment; hal ini demi mendapatkan legalisasi hukum perkawinan dan meningkatkan harkat martabat keluarga menjadi lebih baik. Integration; tidak selarasnya fungsi sistem sosial dan struktur lembaga di KUA. Latency; Masyarakat harus memelihara pola-pola tradisi sebaik mungkin, seperti penghormatan dan kepatuhan terhadap harga diri keluarga maupun orang lain Early marriage has accustomed in Madura. In act 16 in 2019 explained that marriage can be implemented if both of bride have 19 years old. Whereas, they add the age in their marriage certificate without asking marriage dispensation to religious court. This carried out to diminish malo and tade’ ajhinah in social environment caused of Marriage by Accident and get legal marriage. From the problem above will describe how is the Early marriage happened in Madura in Structural Functionalism perspective?. This research using qualitative approache and case study. The data collected by using interview, observation, documentation. The result; 1). The early marriage performed by young couple “under 19 years old “by adding the age in marriage certificate because of pregnant, it becomes moral burden which cause shamed and tade’ ajhinah. 2). structural functionalism of Early marriage, Adaptation; adaptation process of the actor to the social system i.e. married by adding the age. Goal-Attainment; This marriage aims to get registered marriage and to improve the family dignity. Integration; disintegration between social system and organizational structure. Latency; Madurese must maintain and sustain well-regarded cultural patterns such as their obedience and the reverence both of  their own dignity and others

Fanaticism has brewed into different forms in the Nigerian context – and the gravest is religious fanaticism. It has taken hold of most clans, religions, and ethnic groups across Nigeria. Religion has always existed in Nigerian societies and also has fanaticism but the level of violence precipitated by this fanaticism is apparently unprecedented. This paper journeys into the beginning of religious fanaticism in Nigeria and its changing patterns of violence. It highlights the root causes of religious violence in Nigeria and visible patterns in this violence. The paper adopted structural-functionalism theoretical formation and gathered data from textbooks, e-books, journals, online articles, newspapers, and magazines. At the end, the paper recommends that Nigerian governments initiate comprehensive programs to reconcile the religious differences that have evolved over time between Christianity, Islam, and African Traditional Religions.

Ulun Danu Beratan Temple, which is unique because one part of the temple is in the middle of Lake Beratan, gives its own charm for tourists. The lake is actually very sacred by the Balinese because it is considered a source of prosperity in life. Ulun Danu Beratan Temple and Beratan Lake are not spared from tourism activities, even the charm of these two tourist attractions seems to attract the interest and attention of local, domestic and foreign tourists. The formulation of the problem in this study is Why Ulun Danu Temple is used as a Tourist Attraction?. The specific purpose of this research is to describe Ulun Danu Temple as a cultural tourism attraction. To analyze the formulation of the research problem using Structural Functionalism Theory. Data obtained by observation, interview and documentation techniques. The results of this study are as follows: (1) The cultural form that is owned by the Ulun Danu Beratan tourist attraction is the beauty of the Ulun Danu Beratan Temple which is very fascinating from the royal heritage of Mengwi I Gusti Agung Putu in the year Saka 1556 based on the estimates described in the Mengwi chronicle. (2) The attraction of natural beauty offered by the Ulun Danu Beratan Temple attraction offers the beauty of the lake, the natural beauty of the hills and the cool air that can be enjoyed by every tourist. The conclusions in this study are Ulun Danu Temple as a cultural and natural tourist attraction.

Abstract Multiple religious belonging refers to the idea that individuals can belong to more than one religious tradition. This article aims to explore the concept of multiple religious belonging in modern China, focusing on its pattern as well as the social functionality that gives rise to such a pattern. The methodology is developed using structural functionalism as formulated by, in particular, Emile Durkheim, who investigated how different institutions, practices, and customs come to exist because of their contribution to the reproduction and integration of society. This article studies the social functions of multiple religious belonging in three social units, from small to large: family, community, and the state. It explains how multiple religious belonging functions in modern China and thus consolidates each member’s identity within the social units.

Abstract This paper positions itself as a study that portrays the Keroncong Wayang Gendut (Congwayndut) performance, as performance art that reflects structural functionalism. Because Congwayndut explicitly contained aspects of structural functionalism. In this paper, Congwayndut is positioned as an organism that has a structure and functions socially and culturally. Congwayndut is one of the many performing arts groups capable of interpreting traditional art in contemporary, meaning that it responds to the millennial generation with the construction of traditional performances, namely shadow puppet art. . Congwayndut has an important role in the development process or as a performance art model that accommodates other art disciplines, including music, wayang, theater, script, visuals, dramaturgy, which are combined as a typical Indonesian performance art prototype. Therefore, the structural-functional point of view emerged, as a step to explain to the public about the cultural phenomena experienced by Congwayndut. Structural functionalism was born as a reaction against the theory of evolution. If evolutionary studies aim to establish the stages of human cultural development, then structural-functionalism studies aim to build a social system, or social structure, through the study of the functioning patterns of relations between individuals, between groups. -groups, or between social institutions in a society, at a certain period of time. Keywords: Congwayndut, Cross-Border Performing Arts, Structural Functionalism  Abstrak Tulisan ini, memposisikan diri sebagai kajian yang memotret pertunjukan Keroncong Wayang Gendut (Congwayndut), sebagai seni pertunjukan yang merefelksikan fungsionalisme struktural. Karena di dalam Congwayndut secara eksplisit terkandung aspek fungsionalisme struktural. Congwayndut di dalam tulisan ini diposisikan sebagai organisme yang memiliki struktur, dan memiliki fungsi secara sosial budaya.Congwayndut adalah satu satu dari sekian banyak kelompok seni pertunjukan, yang mampu menafsir seni tradisi secara kekinian, artinya merespon generasi milenial dengan konstruksi pertunjukan tradisi yakni kesenian wayang kulit. Congwayndut memiliki peran penting dalam proses pengembangan atau sebagi model seni pertunjukan yang mengakomodir disiplin seni yang lain, ada musik, wayang, teater, naskah, rupa, dramaturgi, yang dijadikan satu sebagai purwarupa seni pertunjukan yang khas Indonesia. Oleh sebab itu lah sudut pandang struktural fungsional muncul, sebagai langkah untuk menjelaskan kepada publik, tentang gejala fenomena budaya yang dialami oleh Congwayndut. Fungsionalisme struktural lahir sebagai reaksi terhadap teori evolusi. Jika tujuan dari kajian-kajian evolusi adalah untuk membangun tingkat-tingkat perkembangan budaya manusia, maka tujuan dari kajian-kajian fungsionalisme struktural adalah untuk membangun suatu sistem sosial, atau struktur sosial, melalui pengajian terhadap pola hubungan yang berfungsi antara individu-individu, antara kelompok-kelompok, atau antara institusi-institusi sosial di dalam suatu masyarakat, pada suatu kurun masa tertentu. Kata Kunci : Congwayndut, Seni Pertunjukan Lintas Batas, Fungsionalisme Struktural
