The purpose of this article is to investigate how decolonial studies can contribute to an agenda of southern criminology and in particular, but not exclusively, to our research on gender and gender violence. To do so, the path chosen was to first present the common lines between these ways of theorising. Then, the entanglements of race and capitalism and of race and gender in the decolonial perspective are presented. With this done, it is possible to think about how decoloniality and punishment are related and to, from then on, think of a decolonial agenda for criminology that involves taking the colonial hypothesis seriously and always thinking and seeking to listen, read and research the ways of resistance from those dehumanised by the criminal justice system.

Despite recognizing that climate change and its impacts are not gender-neutral, only few studies address the arising complexities. While in some climate-relevant sectors, such as the transport sector, there already is some initial research on the relationship between climate and gender, research on the climate–gender nexus in the coal sector is still underdeveloped, and the few existing studies focus on dichotomous relations (gender–coal and coal–climate). This article discusses the currently neglected climate, coal, and gender triad and develops a conceptualization along the following aspects: (i) common lines of arguments, (ii) shortcomings in predominant arguments, and (iii) the state-of-the-art regarding the climate–gender–coal triad. To illustrate this outline, it uses the empirical case of the Colombian coal sector. Based on original data obtained via semi-structured interviews, it analyzes how imminent national-level climate policies for the coal sector, i.e., an energy transition, can be made gender-responsive and thus contribute to a just transition. The empirical example shows that women are already important change agents at the local level and in informal decision-making spaces. Although more research is needed to obtain further insights and evidence, this article contributes to the findings of more recent research which allow for the assumption that addressing climate and gender simultaneously may be mutually beneficial for both policy objectives.

An early article is devoted to the study of the concept of Eurasianism in the  context of comparative art history. The presented article emphasizes that modern art history requires methodological innovations that will reveal the features not only of the national specifics of music, but also the parameters of its dialogue with other cultures. The article discusses the concept of musical genocide as an analogue of an innate program that determines the vectors of the artistic culture evolution. As a result, it is possible to determine both universal ethnocultural and the specificity of regional conditioned properties of culture. The purpose of the research is to determine the comparative parameters of the Eurasian culture. The research methodology lies in the method of historicism. Of fundamental importance, he can reveal the logic of historical thinking. The prospect of using the method of historicism lies in the possibility of approaching the complex whole of Eurasian culture in its historical movement, in the unity and development of its constituent parts. Behind the variety of manifestations, the main, common lines of the historical development of Eurasia are being built. The scientific novelty of the research undertaken in this article is to form a number of provisions of the comparative analysis. For example, the concept of a gene formula, a typological series. Conclusions. The category of the gene formula formulated in the article is a historically conditioned sign function of culture. The gene formula is generated by the collective experience of the ethnos and has semantic meaning. At the same time, the gene formula defines a specific type of pitch that ensures the vitality of the music and realizes the identity of the culture.

This research article navigates through the different common lines seen between the life and work of two of the most relevant architects of the 20th century: Le Corbusier and Álvaro Siza. Though belonging to different times, they both constitute indisputable examples of the architecture of their times, where several aspects in common appear, inviting us to think about the unconscious influence of the Swiss master on the work of the Portuguese architect over the years.

Por último, cabe señalar que una de las líneas de intervención prioritarias es la sensibilización, la información y formación a toda la comunidad universitaria y la atención individualizada.ABSTRACTThe services or units that cater for students with disabilities, available in most Spanish universities, share common lines of action, focused on the removal of architectural barriers, on the improvement of accessibility, advice, guidance, and training and information to the entire university community. The descriptive study reported in this paper purported to know and analyze the current situation of these services, to help university institutions to establish new objectives and actions to be incorporated into their educational and organizational policies and to reinforce guidance and mentoring processes before, during and after entering university. For this purpose, the current situation of the services of attention to students with disabilities of 50 public and 26 private Spanish universities was compiled, described, and analyzed. The information collection was carried out using a record sheet designed ad hoc for the study. The main results show that in most of the universities analyzed, both public and private, there is a service or unit that caters for students with disabilities; these services are heterogeneous in their name, dependence, and actions; they seek to guarantee equal opportunities and inclusion of students with disabilities, and the main areas of intervention focus on guidance, and technical and pedagogical support. Finally, it should be noted that one of the priority lines of intervention is awareness raising, information and training for the entire university community and individualized attention.

AbstractAlthough deprived from freedom at birth, many freedwomen sought nevertheless to acquire prominent positions in their communities and access influential social environments, for which having a high economic capacity was key. Many of them invested their wealth in honorary dedication, which preserved their civic memory and brought them enormous prestige and honor. The epigraphy from Tarraco documents around twenty cases of women of servile descent who used honorary commemoration in prestigious stone monuments to remember their relatives, friends or patrons. Thus, this text focuses on these freedwomen through their inscriptions, from a social and gender perspective. To this end, an onomastic and prosopographic study has been carried out of each of the protagonists, as well as of the epigraphic supports and their location, in order to establish the common lines of their action.

: Equestrian polo is struggling to grow and attract young players due to the perception it is a game played by royals and the rich only, and is not a real sport. This study highlights the high level of skill and athletic challenge faced by the players. Literature is scarce for polo despite its global appeal and the high value of the game in terms of historical reach and investment by the polo community. The game is also unique in sports due to the multiplicity of interactions such as player–pony, pony–ground, player–mallet, and mallet–ball. This work introduces the basics of the game with a graphical interpretation of the motion of the mallet during play. The mallet is constructed of natural materials, the shaft from a rattan cane whilst the handle and head are crafted from hardwood. Using a materials analysis approach, a testing methodology is proposed that will enable quantifiable data to be produced based on the properties and performance of the mallet. The purpose of this is to enable benchmarking of the mallet based on the material properties and their assembled response to the testing. Quasi-static load tests using a universal testing instrument are followed by dynamic testing using inertial sensors. All testing is done in planes chosen to replicate the common lines of action of match play. The quasi-static tests enabled a value for stiffness (k), and the dynamic testing enabled a damping coefficient (c) to be calculated. These quantities will enable a quantitative measure for the properties and performance of any mallet and thereby remove the subjective nature of assessment. Subsequent study will then determine how these data correlate with the performance in play, as well as impact, trajectory, and fatigue responses.
