Eucalyptus globules is an widely distributed in tropical and subtropical regions. It has been widely used as folk medicine, and folk cosmetic owing to its antioxidant values. Despite its importance, phytochemical and pharmacological studies remain infancy. This study was aimed at extraction of essential oil by steam-distillation and evaluation of bioactive components, antioxidant, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory activities along with analysis by UV-VIS, FT-IR and Fluorescent techniques. Fast protein liquid chromatography (FPLC) was used to confirm the presence of polyphenols. Different antioxidant activities like DPPH., ABTS.+, .OH, superoxide, nitric oxide and reducing power of the essential oil. Essential oil was analyzed by UV-VIS, FT-IR and Fluorescent techniques. In vitro antimicrobial activity was also monitored. FT-IR fingerprint qualitative analysis was performed using commercial standards. Considerable amount of flavonoids were detected in essential oil.  Oil exhibited considerable scavenging activities of ABTS.+, .OH, superoxide, nitric oxide and reducing power. UV-VIS, FT-IR analysis revealed the presence of polyphenolics in essential oil. Fluorescent spectroscopy revealed the presence of fluorophores in essential oil. FPLC and FT-IR fingerprint analysis revealed the presence of bioactive constituents like rutin, tannic acid, vanillic acid and ascorbic acid in the essential oil. A strong anti-inflammatory activity of oil was observed using fluorescent spectroscopy. An appreciable in vitro antibacterial activity against gram-negative bacteria like Acetobacter aceti and Pseudomonas aeruginosa was detected. The data provides the scientific support to the use of essential oil from Eucalyptus globules as a potent herbal source of bioactive compounds possessing natural antioxidant activities in food and pharmaceutical industries.

Introduction. Diagnosis verification in patients with malignant tumors developed in the context of chronic inflammation is technically complex with a high percentage of false negative results of histological examination. None of the methods provides sufficiently accurate results necessary for ruling out or confirming a diagnosis. The study objective is to test a new patented method of pre- and intraoperative differential diagnosis of oncological pathology of the ent-organs using the "InSpektr-M" hardware and software system.Materials and methods. The study included 30 patients with suspected malignant tumors of the larynx. The study excluded patients with previously verified diagnosis of malignant tumor of the larynx. A diagnostic probe emitting laser light with wavelength 350 nm and radiation power density 25 mW/cm2 was introduced through an additional channel of a fiberscope for a period of time sufficient for excitation of intrinsic tissue fluorescence (from 10-6 to 10-9 ms). Fluorescence intensity in the range of wavelengths between 600 and 650 nm was measured. This intensity was conditionally labelled "epithelial proliferative activity index". Spectrometric analysis of the intact points allowed to evaluate normal values for an individual patient; in the areas with the maximal increase in the index, targeted biopsy was performed.Results. Values obtained during examination of various types of tumors (epithelial and non-epithelial) are different while tumor location has a negligible effect. In patients with malignant tumors containing non-squamous epithelium, increased protoporphyrin IX and decreased FAD fluorescence were observed in the direction from intact tissues to the center of the suspected tumor; in patients with malignant tumors containing squamous epithelium: increased protoporphyrin IX fluorescence with maximum at 635 nm and dynamic increase in FAD fluorescence in the direction from intact tissues to the tumor center.Conclusion. Fluorescent spectroscopy can be used for pre- and intraoperative differential diagnosis of squamous and non-squamous cancers of the ENT-organs. Further studies for establishment of reference values of fluorescence intensity in intact and affected tissues are necessary.

The aim of current work was study of spreading chlorine photosentitizer in tooth tissues after its injection root canal. Study was held with help of local fluorescent spectroscopy method. Laser radiation with 408 nm letgth was used for stimulation of exogenic fluorescence of photosentitizer. After injection photosentitizer in root canal good spreading in microchannels and the whole volume of tooth was shown.

The formation of non-covalent electrostatic complexes based on the water-soluble fullerene derivative (WSFD) and chlorin e6, dissolved in water or in ethanol was showed by absorption and fluorescent spectroscopy methods. As a result of the formation of such complexes, the chlorine e6 absorption spectrum changed with a bathochromic shift and its fluorescence was effectively quenched. The Stern-Volmer constants of complex are 7.3·10^5 and 2·10^5 M^-1 in water and ethanol, respectively. It was found that complex consists of 1 molecule of WSFD and 3 dye molecules in aqueous solution, while in ethanol this ratio is 1:1.
