There is no precedent for the application of rotary flow jetting tool in the drainage gas recovery under gas wells. Based on the motion principles of jet flow and vortex flow, this paper designs a downhole rotary flow jetting tool, and verifies the feasibility of the tool through fluid simulation. Next, an indoor experiment device was established for drainage gas recovery with rotary flow jetting tool by the principle of similarity, and the structural parameters of the tool were subject to multi-objective optimization through orthogonal experiments. The optimized tool can achieve ideal rotary flow height and discharge volume. The results show that the proposed rotary flow jetting tool can effectively separate gas from liquid, and produce a rotary flow. The optimal structural parameters were determined as follows: the pitch diameter of spiral body is 45mm, the throat pipe length is 247mm, the spiral angle is 55°-60°, the spiral wing width is 4-6mm, and the nozzle diameter is 15-25mm. In addition, the number of side holes of the throat pipe has little effect on the jetting effect.

This article presents the results of the research methods of structures aligning during installation in the vertical plane. The analysis and research of existing methods of structures alignment in the vertical plane, used in the conditions of enterprises engaged in the installation of metal tanks. The results of the research showed that the applied alignment methods in the vertical plane have some drawbacks, in particular, after aligning, additional calculations are required. And also for alignment of sliding timbering, columns and wall panels use some theodolites, including vertical allotment. Laser devices and theodolites with visual system were also investigated. However, all the methods considered with the use of these devices are quite time-consuming and a significant number of tools and equipment are used. A device is proposed to control the shape and location of flat surfaces using the principle of similarity of triangles allowing obtaining a straight line of intersection of lasers in space parallel to the plumb line. Developed devices are cheap, easy to use and manufacture. With the use of the proposed technique, there is no need to use several working and expensive devices. The developed devices can significantly reduce the alignment time of building structures in the vertical and horizontal planes.

The porosity is one of the important properties of canopy fabric, which affects the stability, aerodynamic performance and inflation performance of parachutes. The similarity criteria for canopy porosity were presented on the principle of similarity analysis. The Ergun theory of porous medium was introduced to establish the model of air permeability and differential pressure between canopies fully considering the air flow property during decelerating process of parachutes. And the differential pressure equation of micro-pore jets of fabric was established based on Bernoulli's theorem. Then, a novel model of air permeability for parachute canopy under different flying environment was proposed. The air permeability calculated by the model is in good agreement with the experiment. According to different environmental conditions, the impact analysis of air permeability and effective permeability of parachute canopies was studied. The results show that geometric and dynamic similarity are sufficient conditions for porous similarity of canopy. The air permeability and effective permeability of canopy are positively correlated with flight velocity and air density, negatively correlated with aerodynamic viscosity and less affected. There exists blockage effect in micro-pore jets of fabric.

The main purpose of the work is to determine the possibility of cluster decays of superheavy atomic nuclei. The universality of the principle of similarity allows you to apply it to the analysis of not studied physical processes. Analogies are observed in forced and spontaneous decays of atomic nuclei. It is shown that in two stages, processes initiated by external influence are realized: fragmentation reactions, forced fission of stable nuclei, and impact radioactivity. Nuclear reactions of fragmentation and forced fission of stable isotopes of lead and bismuth are realized under the action of particles (hadrons) and light atomic nuclei with a kinetic energy of more than 108 eV. Shock radioactivity is observed in the collision of macroobjects having a crystalline structure at speeds of at least ∼1 km/s. Also, in two stages, some radioactive decays of atomic nuclei are realized, including extremely rare cluster decays. Based on the analogies of the processes considered, some cautious predictions are made about the possibility of cluster decays of atomic nuclei in a wide range of atomic masses.

This book is the result of a doctoral research that sought to analyze the characters of the industrial animation cinema that present characterizations, mannerism, behavior and sexual stereotypes, which create an unknown idea about their sexualities. Animated films, often considered an exclusive product for children, do not directly address sexualities that differ from heteronormativity. For this reason, we call “diverse” those possible characters that are different from the norms of standard heterosexuality, in order to map, analyze, quantify and qualify the purpose of these representations. In the first moment, the concepts of the theoretical Stuart Hall on representational practices capable of producing ideologies, discourses and signs are applied in animation cinema and associated with anthropomorphism, which we believe to be a camouflaged way of representing such characters. Then, we characterize the “diverse” and the reasons for choosing the term, so that we can propose a debate about cinema as an instance capable of inscribing gender norms and how animation cinema acts as a media capable of proposing a cultural specific pedagogy. Then, based on the principle of similarity and difference, we mapped the “diverse” characters present in the history of animation cinema at the main North American studios: Disney, Pixar and DreamWorks. After this process, we analyze and qualify the intention of the representations of the “diverse” in the characters of animated films. Therefore, do not be alarmed when faced with classic characters such as Ursula, Genius, Scar, Timon, Pumbaa, Edna Mode, King Julien and many others who present different facets of sexuality.

Although accusations of editorial slant are ubiquitous to the contemporary media environment, recent advances in journalism such as news writing algorithms may hold the potential to reduce readers’ perceptions of media bias. Informed by the Modality-Agency-Interactivity-Navigability (MAIN) model and the principle of similarity attraction, an online experiment ( n = 612) was conducted to test if news attributed to an automated author is perceived as less biased and more credible than news attributed to a human author. Results reveal that perceptions of bias are attenuated when news is attributed to a journalist and algorithm in tandem, with positive downstream consequences for perceived news credibility.

The main medical and biological aspects of conducting experiments in wound ballistics are considered. It is established, that currently in the studies devoted to the study of wound ballistics of firearms ammunition, the method of experimental modeling using simulators of various origins is widely used. A detailed description of the main simulators used by the leading domestic researchers is given now with a reflection of their positive and negative properties. The question of choice of an optimal laboratory animal for the solution of certain problems of ballistic experiment is considered. The world practice of studying the problems of wound ballistics has shown that the organs and tissues of a pig are the closest, of all known animals, to organs and tissues of man in a whole series of morphofunctional properties. The similarity in the structure of organs with a human can in some respects be quite striking, which is used in experimental surgery, especially for studying cardiovascular diseases and in organ transplantation studies. To transfer experimental data from a model (simulator) to a human, it is necessary to observe the main condition of modeling, namely, the principle of similarity of the experimental model to the process that should be reproduced. The problem of use of human corpses and corpse material is reflected, and also attention is paid to a need of observance of ethical rules and norms at carrying out this kind of experiments. It is concluded that despite the extensive list of available materials of non-biological origin, it is not possible to completely abandon the use of laboratory animals and corpse material at this stage of development of science, and their use should be carried out with mandatory compliance with certain norms of ethical and legal nature.

In order to study the flow field changes of ASP (alkaline/surfactant/polymer) solutions with different molecular weights and flow rates when flowing through the annular depressurization slot in the laboratory, the annulus pipeline model was designed based on the principle of similarity. The particle image velocimetry (PIV) system was used to continuously capture the transient images when the ASP solution flows in the model under different experimental conditions. Tecplot software was used to analyze and process the nephrograms of the velocity distribution of ASP solution when flowing through the partially pressured injection tool with different depressurization slots. The experimental results showed that the vortex occurred at the bottom of the depressurization slots; the greater the flow rate, the closer the vortex center to the outer wall; higher molecular weight of the polymer in the ASP solution caused larger velocity gradient towards the wall. The number of the slots has no significant effect on the position of the vortex. This experiment provides a new research method for the velocity distribution of the internal flow field in the partially pressured injection tool.
