Recently, some commercially available active-type radon–thoron monitors were developed; however, their performance has not been characterized. This article presents the characteristics of three commercially available active-type radon–thoron monitors (RAD7, Radon Mapper, and AlphaGUARD) at different sampling flow rates. The thoron concentration measured by the monitors was compared with the reference value measured by a grab sampling method. As a result, the ratio of the measured concentration to the reference increased with flow rate for the RAD7 and the Radon Mapper although that of the AlphaGUARD decreased. The difference may be attributed to the coefficients used in the calculation and the measurement time scheme. The results indicate the importance of the sampling flow rate in thoron measurement. Monitoring of flow rate at the measurement and periodic calibration at multiple sampling flow rates should be conducted for quality assurance and quality control of the measurand.

A higher than average level of educational and professional reflection of students in the conditions of online-learning was revealed, characterized by a higher than average degree of reflection of interaction in society, activities in the future, oneself and the system plan, pragmatic, reflective and theorizing types, as well as average active type, introspective and false (quasi) reflection, reflection of activity in the past and present. It is proved that the above average level of educational and professional reflection is a factor in the adaptation of students to online-learning

This article provides an overview of an active type dictionaries in Ukrainian and foreign lexicography. It examines the peculiarities of the structural organization of dictionary articles, presenting of words in a paradigmatic relationship with registry units, displaying the typical syntagmatic properties of units, and case forms. Relying on a wide range of texts in the Ukrainian language corps, the paper describes the words with parametric semantics dalekist’ (farness) and blyz’kist’ (closeness) with respect to the anthropocentric approach. The applied lexicographic experiment is a practical part of studying the topic of compiling an active type explanatory dictionary of the Ukrainian language. This lexicographic experiment was verified on the texts of the corps of semantic paradigms of words presented in the dictionaries of the 20th—21st centuries. It offers checking procedures and vocabulary and text filters. In contrast to the published explanatory dictionaries, the modeled description of language units provides a more complete picture about the functioning of the examined words in texts of different genres, their semantic potential, and stylistics. Keywords: anthropocentric lexicography, active type of dictionary, parametric noun, dictionary entry, text corpus.

The analysis of research works devoted to the study of different mineral admixtures influence on development of shrinkage deformation of cement stone is presented. There were studued strength properties and shrinkage deformation of stone from lime building solution based on binder agent with active mineral admixture. The authors give the data on the influence of active type admixture on the change of air shrinkage of stone aged up to 28 days, and the comparison of these date with plain solution content without admixtures has been carried out. It has been established that shrinkage for stone aged 28 days from mixture with metakaolin is 10 percent lower than that of stone of the same age from mixture with microsilica suspension.
