The subject of the study is the process of formation and development of music education in Russia on the basis of the traditions of home education of children in noble families and higher classes of tsarist Russia. The activation of performing and composer art has become one of the prerequisites for the development of professional music education in Russia. Another prerequisite was domestic music, which became widespread in aristocratic houses. The work carries out a historical and theoretical analysis of the origin of the pedagogical model of music education in pre-revolutionary Russia at the beginning of the 19th century and determines the main factors that led to the formation of professional music education in Russia on a solid scientific, pedagogical and socio-cultural basis, established in the country during the 17th and 18th centuries.

The authors identified a complex of moral and ethical qualities of the personality of a teacher-educator of a preschool educational organization (love for children, pedagogical duty, ideological conviction, responsibility, etc.), expressing his deontological culture, gave them a brief definition and justification. In their study, the authors came to the conclusion that the systemic manifestation of deontological culture by teachers-educators will create favorable conditions for the effective organization and development of professional and pedagogical activity in the preschool education system.

Work on a musical piece is associated with certain difficulties and takes place in several stages, from reading from score to completing in the form of an exam or concert performance. The final stage, in principle, can be considered infinite, since there is no limit to perfection in the performing arts, and even more so if we are talking about the educational process. The form of the work, its structure, the character of the themes, identification of the figurative nature of music are directly related to the choice of technical and artistic means of expressiveness. The skills of this work are developed in the class of folk instruments in each lesson, since each work requires an individual approach to its mastery and a unique style of interpretation. An article is devoted to the process of mastering these skills, which gradually describes work on the musical work of students-domrists of music universities.

The development of the musical culture of the individual remains one of the most important actual problems at the modern stage of the development of pedagogy. Ways to develop the musical culture of modern schoolchildren engaged in institutions of additional education in the class of folk instruments were identified in the course of work, based on the analysis of scientific research in the field of musical culture. However, in scientific and pedagogical literature, insufficient attention is paid to the program for the development of musical culture, which would include all carefully considered components of the educational process and thereby ensure the effectiveness of this process. The article presents a similar program, developed and tested during experimental and practical pedagogical activities in the class of folk instruments. The work also presents indicators and criteria for assessing the formation of musical culture among students of secondary school age in the class of folk instruments.
