Education is one that everyone should follow. With adequate education someone will be able to answer the global challenges in life. With this education also the dignity of a person will be lifted, the lower the level of education of a person, the dignity of the environment is also low. The dignity of the Indonesian nation in the eyes of the world is also influenced by the education of its population. One indication of the achievement of the education process is the realization of satisfactory learning outcomes. Education can be said to be successful if good learning outcomes are achieved or students get grades above average. The purpose that has been determined in this study, namely to improve student group learning outcomes with the lecture method through learning strategies to increase thinking skills (SPPKB) in the integrated IPS subject for class VII at SMP N 2 Jerowaru. Therefore, to achieve this goal, the researchers tested 28 students as samples with 11 male and 17 female samples taken from the total population. This type of research is classroom action research (PTK) which consists of two cycles and each cycle consists of two meetings. The research instrument used to determine the level of understanding of students was a descriptive test (subjective) which was then analyzed by learning completeness criteria, while to determine the activities of students and teachers using observation sheets. Based on the results of the research, after analyzing the data, it was obtained data on students' understanding of cycle I in student discussion group activities of 74.4% with an average of 2.6 and 50% completeness of student learning with an average of 59.3. while in cycle II the percentage of student discussion group activities was 87.2% with an average of 3.1 and the percentage of student learning completeness as much as 89.1% with an average value of 72.1.

This essay draws on the author’s experiences of teaching Binyavanga Wainaina’s “How to Write about Africa” and select chapters from Ben Rawlence’s City of Thorns: Nine Lives in the World’s Largest Refugee Camp in various undergraduate courses at University of Toronto Scarborough, Ontario, Canada. It makes the case for how these works enable instructors to disrupt the normative narrative of displacement based on the victim-perpetrator binary in mainstream media and humanitarian discourses and center the multidimensionality of displaced peoples across different eras and geographical locations. The essay discusses how each work offers students with strong counter-narratives to the dominant depoliticized and depersonalized accounts of dislocation in Africa by considering historical and contemporary context and foregrounding (displaced) Africans as humans that have agency and dignity. Additionally, the essay demonstrates how each work galvanizes students to identify and deconstruct their implicit biases, particularly when it comes to how they may have (unknowingly) contributed to the continuing portrayal of displaced Africans in victimizing ways. Through student discussion and coursework, the essay demonstrates how each work can empower students, who have themselves or have family members who previously experienced dislocation, to share their experiences and use them to build their own counter-narratives, in the process constructing an enriched archive of displacement that goes beyond the frameworks offered in course materials and that can be used to understand processes of displacement beyond the particular contexts discussed in the classroom. This research is motivated by students lack understanding the concepts in the subject matter of a the rectangular for example, completing the area and circumference of the rectangular, because the material is presentad using the lecture method and only on certain materials using student discussion groups. The aim of the study was to determine validit, practicality and the trajectory design of the learning trajectory through a realistic mathematical education approach to the subject of rectangular at SMP N 6 Padangsidimpuan. This research is a design research with a type of validation study thet aims to develop local interaction theory (LIT) with collaboration between researches and educators to improve the quality of learning. This research was conducted at SMP N 6 Padangsidimpuan with trial subjects in class VII-2, totaling 31 students. The instrument of collecting data thet used is validation sheets, questionnaires, observations, and using validity and practical analysis techniques. The result of this study indicated thet the learning trajectory through a realistic mathematical education approach is said to be very valid and very practical. The vlidity of the learning trajectory is indicated by a value of 86,98% from analiyzing 3 validators. The practicality of the learning trajectory is shown by 82,71% of the student response questionnaire and observations. The learning trajectory produced in this study is in the form of activities carried out by students to achieve learning goals, where the purpose of the learning is to understanding of rectangular, types of rectangular, properties of rectangular, and circumference and area of rectangular.

This project explores the experiences of second-year students on Business School programmes regarding the support available to them in relation to resits in year one. The project involves students as partners in their learning, with data collected via interviews and student discussion forums. Findings are that students who are preparing for resit exams like to use question practice in the resit period to provide mastery experiences which build self-efficacy. We find that students may undervalue feedback on an original submission as a source of guidance towards a resit coursework. The fieldwork was completed before the 2020 campus closure necessitated by the COVID-19 pandemic. However, based on our findings, we suggest recommendations for practice which can be applied for both on-campus and online delivery of our programmes. Keywords: Business Education, exams, inclusivity, mastery experiences, resits, self-efficacy

The purpose of this service activity is to improve the communication skills of prospective teacher students through the analysis of scientific articles from national journals in Indonesia. This activity was carried out online from March to May 2021 as many as 12 meetings. Participants of this activity were 27 student teacher candidates from a university in the city of Mataram. The method of implementing this activity is: Students are given an explanation of the material at each meeting via the google meet platform. Students are given the opportunity to ask questions verbally. Students are assigned to search for scientific articles from national journals according to the topics discussed, this activity is carried out through google search. Students download scientific article files from national journals, then upload the file through the "Discussion Forum" feature prepared on the LMS (Learning Management System) platform. Furthermore, students discuss with group members according to discussion instructions through the "Discussion Forum" feature. The value of communication skills is obtained based on the observations of observers on student discussion activities on the "Discussion Forum" feature using a scale of 5. The improvement in communication skills of prospective teacher students is seen from the increase in each indicator at meeting 1 and meeting 12. The results of the observations show the communication skills score of prospective teacher students at the first meeting it was 55 (poor category) while at the last meeting it was 80 (good category). The N-gain value was 57 which was in the medium criteria. Thus, there is an increase in the communication skills of prospective teacher students through the analysis of scientific articles from national journals
