Open Access Serial seems to be the new paradigm in scientific publication representing a growing tendency in all society segments. In particular, we are interested in the application of the Open Access serial model to High Dilution research. Such multidisciplinary area is opened to experts from all area of knowledge, requiring experimental trials and models as well theoretical approaches. However these researchers must be brought together around a thematic serial, peer-reviewed and easily accessed, able to reach a high impact parameter without lose its focus, where theoretical backgrounds and concepts could be presented and intensely discussed, ranging from experimental to theoretical approaches, basic to applied researches, also reporting clinical, historical and sociological papers. The features of the Open Access fit well with the High Dilution community needs for a scientific serial. Also, an electronic support makes possible divulgate larger texts, figures, movies, interviews, audio, and any other kind of multimedia. Thus, an Open Access scientific serial dedicated to High Dilutions would be very well accepted by the international community involved in high dilutions research. Keywords: Open access, high dilution, online serial. The aim of the study is to measure the impact of the mobile electronic support types (individual/group) in the achievement and development of speaking and listening skills in the English language course for the intermediate school students, by identifying the types of mobile electronic support (individual/group), and determining the speaking and listening skills in the English language course that must be acquired for intermediate school students. In addition, mobile learning tools and applications can be used in mobile electronic support to develop speaking and listening skills and monitor the role of the electronic support style in developing speaking and listening skills, and measure the impact of the different mobile electronic support types (individual/group) in developing speaking and listening skills. The researcher used the semi- experimental approach method, and a sample consisted of (30 students) of the second intermediate grade students in Al- Andalus National Schools in Jeddah. To achieve the objectives of the study, a learning test and an observation card were built. The results of the research found a positive impact on the effectiveness of the mobile electronic support types (individual/group) in the achievement and development of of speaking and listening skills in English course for intermediate school students. The results revealed that there were statistically significant differences between the mean scores of students in the pre and post- test in the achievement test and Not card of both Mobile E- support types (individual/group) to develop speaking and listening skills in favor of the post- test. The arithmetic mean of the experimental group students of the individual mobile electronic support type in the post application of the observation card for the speaking skill is equal to ( 9.46), and the arithmetic mean of the experimental group students of the group mobile electronic support type in the post application of the observation card for the speaking skill equals (8.01), and the value (T) equals (9.32). The average score of the observation card for the speaking skill of the experimental group students of the (group) mobile electronic support type in the pre- application is (3.09) and in the post- application is (8.01). In light of the results, the research presented several recommendations, including the necessity of applying the group mobile electronic support type in order to increase the speaking and listening skills in the English language course for intermediate school students.

Abstract This study aims to evaluate the accuracy of a method proposed for passive localization of radar emitters around irregular terrains with a single receiver in Electronic Support Measures (ESM) systems. Previously, only the theoretical development of the localization method was targeted by the authors. In fact, this could be a serious concern in practice since there is no evidence about its accuracy under the real data gathered from realistic scenarios. Therefore, firstly, an accurate ray-tracing algorithm is adapted to the method in order to enable its implementation in practice. Then, scenarios are determined based on the geographic information system (GIS) map generated to collect high resolution digital terrain elevation data (DTED) as well as realistic localization problems for radar emitters. Next, the improved method is tested with simulations, and thus, its performance is verified for practical implementation in Electronic Warfare (EW) context for the first time in the literature. Lastly, based on the simulation results, the performance bounds of the method are also discussed.

Abstract Objectives Nowadays universities face ever-increasing demands on quality of education, which is crucial from perspective of future graduates. In face of the need of constant quality improvements of medical curricula, it is important to seek strategies for their efficient management. The general trend is to develop electronic support tools to streamline the curricular design, analysis and harmonization. Methods Based on the requirements we have identified by the needs analysis among curriculum designers, teachers and managers at five universities involved in the Building Curriculum Infrastructure in Medical Education (BCIME) project, and evidence published in literature on curriculum development, we have developed methodological guidelines on curriculum innovations and a software-based tools that help manage, map and analyse curricula in the medical and healthcare study fields. Results In this paper, we share our experiences with building and implementation of EDUportfolio, an online platform developed within our consortium and intended to facilitate harmonisation and optimisation of medical outcome-based curricula. Its functionalities and outputs were verified by pilot mapping of Anatomy curricula as taught at partner universities in five European countries. Conclusions The visualisation and the analysis of described curriculum data using natural language processing techniques revealed both the hidden relations between curriculum building blocks and a set of overlaps and gaps in curricula. In addition, we demonstrate both the usability of the platform in the context of the involved academic environments and the capability to map and compare curricula across different institutions and different countries.

Thanks to the use of satellite positioning systems (including GPS) the ability to determine a user's position in open spaces has become a necessary element of everyday life. Nowadays people cannot imagine moving in an "urban jungle” with paper maps without electronic support, but dozens of years ago those maps were more popular than satellite navigation. A similar revolution may also await navigations in closed spaces such as public or commercial buildings. Because as the urbanisation process, the surfaces of various buildings grow, which significantly impedes orientation in them, especially for the blind or visually impaired users. As satellite navigation systems are burdened with errors, which increase when trying to use them in confined spaces, it becomes necessary to use more accurate technology. As a step towards solving this problem, we propose a solution supporting the navigation of users, especially the visually impaired, inside buildings. Our approach is based on using low energy Bluetooth transmitters and a method of determining the user's position using the trilateration algorithm and the appropriate placement of transmitters in a space.

This article presents the hardware implementation and a behavioral model-based RF system modeling and simulation (M&S) study of compressive sensing (CS) based 2D angle-of-arrival (AoA) measurement system for 2–18 GHz radar electronic support measures (RESM). A 6-channel ultra-wideband RF digital receiver was first developed using a PXIe-based multi-channel digital receiver paired with a 6-element random-spaced 2D cavity-backed-spiral-antenna array. Then the system was tested in an open lab environment. The measurement results showed that the system can measure AoA of impinging signals from 2–18 (GHz) with overall RMSE of estimation at 3.60, 2.74, 1.16, 0.67 and 0.56 (deg) in L, S, C, X and Ku bands, respectively. After that, using the RF high-fidelity M&S (RF HF-M&S) approach, a 6-channel AoA measurement system behavioral model was also developed and studied using a radar electronic warfare (REW) engagement scenario. The simulation result showed that the airborne AoA measurement system could successfully measure an S-band ground-based target acquisition radar signal in the dynamic REW environment. Using the RF HF-M&S model, the applicability of the system in other frequencies within 2–18 (GHz) was also studied. The simulation results demonstrated that the airborne AoA measurement system can be used for 2–18 GHz RESM applications.

Cyberattacks make the news daily. Systems must be appropriately secured. Cybersecurity risk analyses are more than ever necessary, but… traveling and gathering in a room to discuss the topic has become difficult due to the COVID, whilst having a cybersecurity expert working isolated with an electronic support tool is clearly not the solution. In this article, we describe and illustrate Obérisk, an agile, cross-disciplinary and Obeya-like approach to risk management that equally supports face-to-face or remote risk management brainstorming sessions. The approach has matured for the last three years by using it for training and a wide range of real industrial projects. The overall approach is detailed and illustrated on a naval use case, with extensive feedback from the end-users. We show that Obérisk is really time-efficient and effective at managing risks at the early stages of a project, whilst remaining extremely low-cost. As the project grows or when the system is deployed, it may eventually be necessary to shift to a more comprehensive commercial electronic support tool.
