The history of one of the most popular Moscow magazines of nature and hunting “Okhotnichy Vestnik” (1901—1918), which for eighteen years has been associated with the trading company of the same name, is considered. The archival materials from the funds of the Russian State Historical Archive, the Central State Archive of Moscow, related to the publication and trading partnership “Okhotnichy Vestnik” are analyzed. On the basis of the historical-typological method, the program, content features of the magazin, ways of interacting with readers and competitors are studied, the reasons for its popularity during the period of historical catastrophes are considered. The novelty of the research is determined both by the empirical material itself — archival files not previously introduced into scientific circulation, and by the subject — the history of the emergence and functioning of the magazine “Okhotnichy Vestnik”. It is concluded that in the conditions of socio-political unrest and fierce competition for the reader, during the crisis of hunting journalism, “Okhotnichy Vestnik” retained the status of a fairly authoritative and influential publication thanks to the flexible policy of editors-publishers and effective methods of activity of the trade and industrial partnership “Okhotnichy Vestnik”. The history of the “Okhotnichy Vestnik” makes it possible to present a more complete picture of the formation of a new type of specialized printing.

Private sector involvement in the International Space Station (ISS) is becoming increasingly important as commercial organisations provide services and hardware to enhance the orbital operations of the Space Station which, in November 2020, marked two decades of continuous occupation. During the first Asgardia Space Science & Investment Conference, held in Germany in October 2019, a project to add a new commercially procured docking module to the ISS was announced as a key step to expanding the permanent human presence in low Earth orbit. Dr Igor Ashurbeyli, General Designer, provides a technical overview of the project and the industrial partnership arranged to deliver it.

The article explores the current relations between Germany and Iran in politicalmilitary sphere. Both countries belong to the category of emerging powers (the Germany is perhaps the single emerging power among Euro-Atlantic states). Outlining the contours of bilateral relations, the authors underline the presence of imperial historical code in each country, the growing internal political problems (dwindling authority of the ruling elites) and mutual interest in deepening trade-industrial partnership with Germany becoming a technological modernizer of Iranian economy. The authors show that Iranian factor has a growing impact over German policy in the Near East and the Middle East, especially in Lebanese, Syrian, Iraqi and Yemeni armed conflicts. In the first three cases Germany tries to limit the scale, the character (non-combatant capabilities), geographic area (not in deep regions) of the Bundeswehr usage. One of the key reasons of it is that Germany avoids being drawn into action against the Iranian troops or its junior allies («Hezbollah» in Lebanon, Shia combatants in Southern Iraq). Germany also recognizes that ignoring Iranian interests in each of these cases will make it difficult to maintain its political-military presence in the region. Because of the Yemen conflict with active participation of Saudi Arabia Germany has imposed arms embargo for the Kingdom.Germany attempted to keep the Iranian nuclear deal after Trump`s administration withdrawal from the agreement. The authors try to estimate the probable position of Germany towards possible military-political crisis in the region involving Iran and especially towards a potential US war against Iran. What result will Germany strive for in the Iranian direction? According to the authors, this is a significantly expanded formula of 2015. In addition to maintaining the JCPOA and mutually beneficial growth in trade and economic cooperation, this formula includes:– minimizing the threat of a military conflict against Iran (which has become especially important after the assassination of General Qasem Soleimani on January 3, 2020);– in exchange for this clear limitation of Iran’s influence in Lebanon, Syria, Iraq and Yemen.

The OT4CLIMA project, funded by the Italian Ministry of Education, University and Research, within the PON 2014-2020 Industrial Research program, “Aerospace” thematic domain, aims at developing advanced Earth Observation (EO) technologies and methodologies for improving our capability to better understand the effects of Climate Change (CC) and our capability to mitigate them at the regional and sub-regional scale. Both medium-to-long term impacts (e.g. vegetation stress, drought) and extreme events with rapid dynamics (e.g. intense meteorological phenomena, fires) will be investigated, trying a twofold (i.e. interesting both “products” and “processes”) technological innovation: a) through the design and the implementation of advanced sensors to be mounted on multiplatform EO systems; b) through the development of advanced methodologies for EO data analysis, interpretation, integration and fusion.

Activities will focus on two of the major natural processes strictly related to Climate Change, namely the Carbon and Water Cycles by using an inter-disciplinary approach.

As an example, the project will make it possible the measurements, with an unprecedented accuracy of atmospheric (e.g. OCS, carbon-sulphide) and surface (e.g. soil moisture) parameters that are crucial in determining the vegetation contribution to the CO2 balance, suggesting at the same time solutions based on the analysis and integration of satellite, airborne and unmanned data, in order to significantly improve the capability of local communities to face the short- and long-term CC-related effects.

OT4CLIMA benefits from a strong scientific expertise (14 CNR institutes, ASI, INGV, CIRA, 3 Universities), considerable research infrastructures and a wide industrial partnership (including both big national players, i.e. E-Geos and IDS companies and well-established italian SMEs consortia, i.e. CREATEC, CORISTA and SIIT, and a spin-off company, Survey Lab) specifically focused on the technological innovation frontier.

This contribution would summarize the project main objectives and show some activities so far carried out.

CONDOR is an R&D project lead by IRT-M2P with different industrial partnership to increase knowledge and simulation models of shot peening. This surface hardening process aims to perform different shots with high velocity on metallic surfaces to introduce compressive stresses on it. Fatigue behavior of shot peened parts is significantly improved. During this research project a DOE has been carried out to optimize shot peening parameters on titanium alloys (surface roughness before shot peening, size and shot’s hardness, covering and intensity). The DoE is composed by more than 300 fatigue specimens. All this data allows us to define specifically each shot peening parameter influence on shot penned parts efficiency. CONDOR project allows simulation development of models to simulate shot peening effect by taking into account the parameters introduced above. Those models are used to evaluate residual stress level and fatigue lifetime after shot peening and to confirm models readiness level. This study has defined optimized machining and shot peening conditions in order to increase parts fatigue lifetime.

The article is devoted to the problem of attribution of individual works of the commercial and industrial partnership “P.I. Olovyanishnikov's sons”. The article describes for the first time previously unknown divisions of the Partnership, such as the icon painting studio, painting, embroidery and carpentry workshops, brocade factory, and indicates sources confirming their existence. The date of creation of the Church utensils factory in Moscow has been revealed. For the first time, the structure of the Partnership, its staff and their qualifications are analyzed. The relationship between the Partnership and the Stroganov school is revealed. The article analyzes the relationship between Olovyanishnikov and other manufacturers of art products and the artist M.V. Nesterov. The article describes the principles of product separation depending on its artistic merits. We consider the profile reference materials printed publications of the enterprise, which contain information about the types of products of the Partnership.
