The Austrian Lloyd’s Marine Trade in Fiume (1871–1913)

The purpose of the study. In my paper I would like to introduce the history of an important trading company, the Austrian Lloyd, in terms of its connection to Hungary between 1871 and 1913 with a particular focus on Port of Fiume. This company connected Fiume (and Hungary) with the eastern ports of the Adriatic Sea, the Black Sea and the Mediterranean Sea (Levante) until 1891 with the beneficial support of the Hungarian Government; and later by the company’s own interests. Applied methods. In the paper I analyse the agreements made in the governmental contracts and why the contracts were terminated in 1891. I’m also having a look at the turnover of ships and goods the company had in Fiume’s life between 1889 and 1913. Besides presenting the company’s life and operations I also would like to classify it in terms of turnover among other marine trading steam ship companies receiving government support. For references I’ve been using and working with relevant bibliographies, laws, statistical publications and scripts from the Državni Arhiv u Rijeci (National Archives of Rijeka). Outcomes. I expect the research results to reveal details of an important slice of the Hungarian export which is not very much processed as yet.

Relationship between emotional intelligence and self-actualization in managers of a trading company

Introduction. The relevance of studying the emotions of employees in organizations is due to the economic and psychological crisis, as a result of which many managers are trying to cope with their stress at work and, in some cases, their job duties remotely. The study aims to examine the relationship between emotional intelligence and individual characteristics of self-actualization in managers of a large trading company. Materials and methods. Forty employees from various trade organizations took part in the study. The following methods were used: the emotional intelligence assessment technique (N. Hall) and the self-actualization test (SAT) (E. Sjostrom). Spearman rank correlation method was used. Research results. A reliable direct relationship between self-motivation and contact was obtained (rs = 0.460; p ≤ 0.05). Self-motivation, defined as managing one’s emotions, determines a person’s ability to quickly establish contacts with people and communicate. The feedback of self-motivation and self-esteem was revealed (rs = -0.555; p ≤ 0.05). According to the respondents’ evaluations, social success is not affected by a person’s ability to manage emotions and feelings. An inverse relationship of empathy and self-esteem was also revealed (rs = -0.463; p ≤ 0.05). Respondents believe that empathy with others can hinder the achievement of social success, recognition, and self-esteem. Conclusion. Emotional intelligence of employees: contributes to developing their leadership skills, increases stress resistance at work, job satisfaction, motivation, interest in organizational learning, reduces emotional exhaustion and fatigue, and is a means of conflict resolution. All this has a positive effect on the company’s efficiency.

"The design of this system is expected to help and overcome existing problems so that it can be useful for interested parties". The purpose of this research is expected with the information system is expected to make it easier for companies to promote the products on offer and make it easier to make online sales transactions so that they can be done anytime and safely, and can increase sales.

JURNAL AKUNTANSI PADA PERUSAHAAN DAGANG

Based on the results of the survey, it was found that the problems faced by partners, namely SMA Tri Ratna, were that students still had difficulty in journaling transactions properly and had not obtained in-depth material about merchandising company accounting. The ability to journalize transactions properly is very important and is the basic foundation in understanding accounting. The lecturer team of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Tarumanagara University offers a solution by providing theoretical knowledge about journals and training with accounting materials in merchandising companies. The specific objectives and targets to be achieved from this training are for SMA Tri Ratna students to understand accounting journals for merchandising companies. First, the lecturer team conducted a survey first. From the survey, it was found that SMA Tri Ratna students still have difficulty in journaling transactions properly and have not received in-depth material about trading company accounting. Furthermore, the lecturer team will prepare a module containing theories and examples of questions that will be given to students. The training is provided online due to the pandemic conditions. Finally, this activity will end by making SERINA articles as mandatory outputs, articles in the PINTAR media as additional outputs, posters, also compiling final reports and financial reports on community service activities that have been carried out. All of these activities are planned to be carried out from July to December 2021.Berdasarkan hasil survei ditemukan permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh mitra, yaitu SMA Tri Ratna, adalah para siswa-siswi masih mengalami kesulitan untuk menjurnal transaksi dengan tepat dan belum memperoleh materi secara mendalam mengenai akuntansi perusahaan dagang. Kemampuan menjurnal transaksi yang tepat sangat penting dan merupakan fondasi dasar dalam pemahaman akuntansi. Tim dosen Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis Universitas Tarumanagara menawarkan solusi dengan memberikan pengetahuan teori mengenai jurnal dan pelatihan dengan materi akuntansi pada perusahaan dagang. Tujuan dan target khusus yang hendak dicapai dari pelatihan ini adalah agar siswa-siswi SMA Tri Ratna dapat memahami jurnal akuntansi untuk perusahaan dagang. Pertama-tama tim dosen melakukan survei terlebih dahulu. Dari survei tersebut diperoleh temuan bahwa siswa-siswi SMA Tri Ratna masih mengalami kesulitan untuk menjurnal transaksi dengan tepat dan belum memperoleh materi secara mendalam mengenai akuntansi perusahaan dagang. Selanjutnya tim dosen akan mempersiapkan modul yang berisi teori-teori maupun contoh soal yang akan diberikan kepada para siswa-siswi. Pelatihan diberikan secara online dikarenakan kondisi pandemi. Terakhir, kegiatan ini akan diakhiri dengan membuat artikel SERINA sebagai luaran wajib, artikel di media PINTAR sebagai luaran tambahan, poster, juga menyusun laporan akhir maupun laporan keuangan atas kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang telah dilakukan. Seluruh kegiatan ini direncanakan akan dilakukan sejak bulan Juli sampai dengan bulan Desember 2021.

PELATIHAN PENYUSUNAN JURNAL PENYESUAIAN PERUSAHAAN DAGANG

This PKM aims to provide an understanding of trading company accounting, especially regarding adjusting journal entries in trading companies for students at St.Kristoforus Catholic High School. The training is carried out by providing an explanation and understanding of adjusting journals and working papers and how to fill them out. Evaluation is carried out at the end of this activity by distributing an evaluation form regarding the benefits of this activityTujuan kegiatan PKM ini adalah untuk memberikan pemahaman mengenai akuntansi perusahaan dagang khususnya mengenai ayat jurnal penyesuaian pada perusahaan dagang bagi siswa/i SMA Katolik St.Kristoforus Pelatihan ini dilakukan karena mitra merasa bahwa kemampuan akuntansi siswa/siswi mereka masih sederhana dan belum update sehingga perlu ditingkatkan Pelatihan dilakukan dengan cara memberikan penjelasan dan pemahaman mengenai jurnal penyesuaian dan kertas kerja serta cara pengisiannya. Evaluasi dilakukan di akhir kegiatan ini dengan menyebarkan form evaluasi mengenai manfaat kegiatan ini.

Webinar Bagi Mahasiswa Baru 2021 "Sejarah dan Pemikiran H.O.S. Cokroaminoto"

This Community Service, is carried out virtually in the form of online or webinars. This activity was organized by the Campus Academic Introduction committee, Cokroaminoto University of Yogyakarta in 2021. This webinar is a routine activity held every year, to introduce a campus environment for new students every year. This activity raised the theme "Historyand Thought of Cokroaminoto", which was carried out using a zoom platform. The purpose of this webinars to get to know more closely the famous figure as well as the nation's teacher, H.O.S. Cokroaminoto, which gave the idea of Indonesia should be independent since 1912. Cokroaminoto helped raise the first national movement organization in Indonesia, the Islamic Trading Company which was established in 1905 with the founding figure H. Samanhudi. Cokroaminoto holds the title of teacher of the nation, because he has 3 famous students: Sukarno, Musso and Kartosuwiryo, all three of whom have different ideologies: Nationalists, Communists and Religious, as well as his three disciples also managed to color the journey of this nation, even more so during the old order. In the implementation of this webinar, it appears that the participation, enthusiasm and spirit of the participants, so that this webinar activity can be carried out properly and smoothly.
