Informatization is one of the main characteristics of the modern construction industry. As an important part of the construction industry, the application of BIM 5D has greatly promoted the transformation of the production mode in the construction field. The development of the construction industry is inseparable from the training of professional talents by universities. More and more universities are actively exploring the role of BIM 5D in the process of talent training. Based on the research on BIM 5D in the training of civil engineering professionals in applied undergraduate colleges in combination with examples, this research proposes that the teaching reform path should be guided by BIM 5D training courses to drive a series of main courses teaching reforms. With BIM as the characteristic of running a school, it provides ideas for the training of civil engineering professionals.

Today, in the digital era, all walks of life have diversified development under the penetration of information technology, and the traditional construction industry is inevitably combined with information technology to move toward the direction of intelligent construction. As a broad concept, intelligent construction includes many theories and multiple directions of research, from design to construction to post-maintenance, while flexible construction focuses on the organization of production mode. In this paper, through the comparative analysis of intelligent construction and flexible construction, the framework of intelligent construction and flexible construction is established to deepen the understanding of the two modes, so as to correctly control the direction of intelligent development, and provide a basis for the construction mode of the intelligent era.

The contemporary urbanization process in Brazil is directly related to the dynamics of the capitalist production mode. In this production mode the urban land, as well as habitation, become commodities – individual or collective consumer goods. With the increase in municipal autonomy back in the 1990s, along with the approval of the Statue of Cities in 2001, new tools for organization of urban territory and production of habitations were created. This work makes a brief analysis of the right to city’s trajectory, since the creation of such concept by Henri Lefebvre in the 1960s, until the concept’s appropriation by Brazilian legislation. Through bibliographical review, it relates the social role of property as means to grant the right to the city.

This article discusses the migrant worker poet Md Mukul Hossine. Showing Mukul as the representative migrant worker poet also severely restricted and complicated his process of ‘becoming’ a poet. From a Marxist standpoint, the Singaporean literati’s dismissal of Mukul reveals the predicament of being a working-class writer in today’s neoliberal market. The particular bourgeoise ‘production mode’ of working-class literature in Singapore first ‘made’, then ‘consumed’ and ultimately ‘condemned’ Mukul. First, I examine the publication process of Mukul’s poetry and its success followed by a series of problems. In the second section, I offer a close reading of Mukul’s poems understanding Mukul’s poetics and struggles as a migrant worker poet as his poetry is seldom examined in  literary criticism. Finally, I argue that the representation of migrant workers writers such as Mukul is problematic due to the nature of the whole system: how they are empowered in such a context equally does harm to them. This mode again reproduces the systematic structure of power hegemony and social inequality through the field of literature.
