Within the language teaching-learning area, many factors can be identified as impacting the proficiency of the language students achieve. As teachers, we have gone from searching the latest technologies to creating innovative materials that motivate students, passing through the use of resources that integrate skills and curricular designs that help students develop their autonomy. It is in this environment that we consider it relevant to review basic concepts that help us understand how the information we receive needs to be converted into knowledge in order to produce the language being studied. The concepts of input, output, adn intake are reviewed and the relevance of such concepts in Second Language Learning is pointed out in this essay.

This research focuses on a comparative study of the Named Entity Recognition task for scientific article texts. Natural language processing could be considered as one of the cornerstones in the machine learning area which devotes its attention to the problems connected with the understanding of different natural languages and linguistic analysis. It was already shown that current deep learning techniques have a good performance and accuracy in such areas as image recognition, pattern recognition, computer vision, that could mean that such technology probably would be successful in the neuro-linguistic programming area too and lead to a dramatic increase on the research interest on this topic. For a very long time, quite trivial algorithms have been used in this area, such as support vector machines or various types of regression, basic encoding on text data was also used, which did not provide high results. The following dataset was used to process the experiment models: Dataset Scientific Entity Relation Core. The algorithms used were Long short-term memory, Random Forest Classifier with Conditional Random Fields, and Named-entity recognition with Bidirectional Encoder Representations from Transformers. In the findings, the metrics scores of all models were compared to each other to make a comparison. This research is devoted to the processing of scientific articles, concerning the machine learning area, because the subject is not investigated on enough properly level.The consideration of this task can help machines to understand natural languages better, so that they can solve other neuro-linguistic programming tasks better, enhancing scores in common sense.

It is thought that music education in general education, especially for individuals of all ages and levels, is important in the musical development of the individual. Besides, it is seen that the “listening-singing” learning area in general music education teaching programs has an important weight in the program. In this context, it is considered necessary that music listening activities carried out for this learning area should be among the main activities that support other musical activities in classroom music education, which form the basis for the students to benefit from music education. For this reason, it is thought that the active participation of the students in music listening activities will contribute to effective and efficient music education. With this study, it is aimed to determine the contribution of instructed music listening activities to music culture learning outcomes in secondary school music education. For this purpose, an instructed music listening activity was held for students in a secondary school. The effect of the activity performed on the level of success was measured with knowledge tests. According to the results it is found that most of the students achieved an above-moderate success from the recorder family knowledge test.

The article assumes that the expansion of cultural content in basic education implies a qualitative change in the entire curriculum system. It rescues the idea of social micro spaces of common curriculum selection and reconfiguration and underlines the role of decision-makers in different groups. Namely, experts and specialists who, within the scope of the Learning Outcomes Project launched by the Portuguese Ministry of Education, supported the legitimation of ICT as a transdisciplinary learning area, consenting to shared responsibility in promoting digital culture. Based on the study carried out, involving 11 interviews, the article reveals the reasons that justify the detachment from a social practice that, paradoxically, was desired to be more articulated, integrated, and open to digital culture.

This quantitative study was aimed to develop and determine the usability of a Bragg’s law crystallography model as a teaching aid in Solid State Physics course among undergraduate students in Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI). The usability of Bragg’s law crystallography model in attracting students’ interest towards the learning area and the perception of students towards the usability were evaluated. A total of 101 UPSI undergraduate students were taken as the respondents in the study via the cluster probability sampling method. A questionnaire with four points Likert scale was used to collect the data. The instruments including the model and the questionnaire were verified by evaluation experts. Pilot test was carried out to measure the reliability of instruments. The data was analysed by using the descriptive statistics. The findings showed that the developed Bragg’s law crystallography model was valid and reliable for undergraduate students in UPSI. Positive result of the students’ interest towards the learning area by using the Bragg’s law crystallography model and the usefulness of this model was showed. Students showed great interest during the lecture learning about Bragg’s law. Thus, Bragg’s law crystallography model enabled students to be more interested in the learning area and helped the educators to create better learning environment in Solid State Physics course as the implications of this research

This study investigated the developmental process of a dynamic geo-game, Gezgin, which was developed by the researcher based on the Four-Component Instructional Design (4C/ID) Model, and its benefits in the acquisitions, values and skills of the Global Connections learning area of the social studies curriculum applied in Turkey. It also determined Gezgin’s reflecting acquisitions, values, and skills, as well associal studies education experts’ opinions about Gezgin. A case study approach was adopted and five experts participated. The data collection lasted for approximately fourteen months due to the development process of Gezgin. Most of this process coincided with the COVID-19 pandemic period. The data were descriptively analysed and the experts’ evaluations were subjected to content analysis. Findings indicated that Gezgin mostly reflected the acquisitions, values, and skills of Global Connections learning area and could support the curriculum as a studying environment, create various experiences, materialise theoretical knowledge, and that it co uld be tested on students. It was also understood that values, primarily, and skills and acquisitions, subsequently, were mostly supported. Although the results of the study revealed similarities with the results of other studies in scientific literature, it differed from them as a large platform where the acquisitions, values, and skills of a learning field were reflected. The results indicated that geo-games should be used to support other learning areas, develop high-level skills, and create a level of awareness in accordance with spatial citizenship skills.
