The current research on photocatalysis is totally focused on the designing and innovation of various low cost materials. For an efficient photocatalyst, there are some aspects which are to be assessed before practical use, such as optical activity, thermal and chemical stability, easy and availability of raw material, biocompatibility, etc. Fortunately, g-C3N4 offers most of these qualities to behave as a star photocatalyst. g-C3N4 could be easily prepared from low cost precursor materials such as urea, melamine, cyanimide and dicyandiamide by simple thermal treatment. Furthermore, larger surface area and two-dimensional planar conjugation structure of g-C3N4 can provide a large platform for anchoring various substrates. Various researchers have utilized g-C3N4 for varieties of applications such as green energy production, energy storage devices, biomedical application, wastewater treatment via photocatalysis and adsorption, photo sensors, etc. Although there are some disadvantages associated with use of g-C3N4 when utilized for various applications. To overcome such hitches various structural modifications have been applied to g-C3N4. The current chapter summarizes a wide mode of applications of g-C3N4 along with various structural modifications which were recently applied to improve the photocatalytic efficacy.

The development of industrial Internet of Things (IIoT), big data, and artificial intelligence technologies is leading to a major change in the production system. The change is being propagated into the wave of transforming the existing system with a vertical structure into the corresponding horizontal platform or middleware. Accordingly, the way of acquiring IIoT data from an individual system is being altered to the way of being increasingly centralized through an integrated middleware of a scalable server or through a large platform. That said, middleware-based IIoT data acquisition must consider multiple factors, such as infrastructure (e.g., operation environment and network), protocol heterogeneity, interoperability (e.g., links with legacy systems), real-time, and security. This manuscript explains these five aspects in detail and provides a taxonomy of eighteen state-of-the-art IIoT data-acquisition middleware systems based on these aspects. To validate one of these aspects (network), we present our evaluation results at a real production site where IIoT data-acquisition loss rates are compared between wireless (long-term evolution) and wired networks. As a result, the wired communication can be more suitable for centralized IIoT data-acquisition middleware than wireless networks. Finally, we discuss several challenges in establishing the best IIoT data-acquisition middleware in a centralized way.

357 Background: The American Urological Association (AUA) annual meetings serve as a large platform for unpublished research. Among the selected abstracts, podium presentations represent the most impactful submissions. Furthermore, between large meeting attendance and social media promotion, authors can disseminate their findings to a potentially large audience prior to final manuscript publication. While all AUA abstracts do undergo peer review, it is not with the same level of scrutiny that full-length manuscripts receive. Thus, we investigated the publication rates, impact factors, and time to publication of urologic oncology podium presentations at the AUA. Methods: Of 875 podium presentation abstracts from the 2017 AUA Annual meeting, 394 (45.0%) were classified as urologic oncology. We chose 2017 to allow for a three-year window for publication. Abstracts were assessed for subsequent publication between January 1, 2015 and May 31, 2020 with a pre-determined PubMed search protocol. Abstract authors were searched for individually, with key terms being added sequentially until <30 results were generated in PubMed. Each search result was then reviewed until a matching publication was found. Abstracts were deemed published if at least one author of the presented abstract was a manuscript author and/or at least one conclusion in the presented abstract was included in the conclusions of the publication. Publication rates, time to publication, and 2019 journal impact factors were collected. Results: Of 394 urologic oncology podium presentations at the 2017 AUA, 228 (57.9%) focused on prostate cancer, while 81 (20.6%) and 58 (14.7%) presentations focused on kidney and bladder cancer, respectively (table). Overall, 211 (53.6%) podium presentations were published. Median time from presentation to publication was 13.6 months (IQR: 7.5-21.5). There were 9 (2.3%) publications that were published prior to the submission deadline and 57 (14.5%) podium presentations that were published prior to the 2017 AUA meeting. The number of articles published at one, two and three years after the meeting was 90, 170 and 202, respectively. The median journal impact factor of all published works was 3.4 (IQR: 2.7-5.9). Conclusions: While AUA podium presentations disseminate valuable data, approximately half of these presentations were not published in peer-reviewed journals within three years. Therefore, care must be taken when promoting data or adopting new practices based on these presentations alone. [Table: see text]

This study investigated the developmental process of a dynamic geo-game, Gezgin, which was developed by the researcher based on the Four-Component Instructional Design (4C/ID) Model, and its benefits in the acquisitions, values and skills of the Global Connections learning area of the social studies curriculum applied in Turkey. It also determined Gezgin’s reflecting acquisitions, values, and skills, as well associal studies education experts’ opinions about Gezgin. A case study approach was adopted and five experts participated. The data collection lasted for approximately fourteen months due to the development process of Gezgin. Most of this process coincided with the COVID-19 pandemic period. The data were descriptively analysed and the experts’ evaluations were subjected to content analysis. Findings indicated that Gezgin mostly reflected the acquisitions, values, and skills of Global Connections learning area and could support the curriculum as a studying environment, create various experiences, materialise theoretical knowledge, and that it co uld be tested on students. It was also understood that values, primarily, and skills and acquisitions, subsequently, were mostly supported. Although the results of the study revealed similarities with the results of other studies in scientific literature, it differed from them as a large platform where the acquisitions, values, and skills of a learning field were reflected. The results indicated that geo-games should be used to support other learning areas, develop high-level skills, and create a level of awareness in accordance with spatial citizenship skills.

Introduction: We are trying to create a platform for social innovation to extend life span. Methods: Since 2005, health data (approximately 3000 items per person as of 2020) of approximately 1000 adults have been collected each year during the Iwaki Health Promotion Project. The industry, government, academia, and citizens have involvements in data collection, aiming to build a platform that encourages societal innovation and subsequently extends life expectancy in Aomori. The Iwaki Health Promotion Project has been supported financially by the Japanese government since it was selected as the Center of Innovation program in 2013. Results: Since the numbers of academia, industries, governments, and citizens involved in the Iwaki Health Promotion Project increased over the years, the big data produced during the project has become increasingly pluripotent and adaptable. It has been used to promote public health, which has also created a stronger partnership among companies and research organizations. Consequently, the amount of data collected from the project has gained attention and became more open to companies and researchers participating in the Iwaki Health Promotion Project, resulted in establishing a larger platform. It also led to the acquisition of external funding, publications of numerous research papers, creation of new health examinations, and the establishment of the Health Promotion Center (an institution for cultivating health volunteers). Conclusion: The Iwaki Health Promotion Project aims not only to produce a pluripotent big data but also to improve the average life expectancy of Aomori by creating a large platform in the society. Its positive impact in the future is infinite and will keep growing as long as it is maintained by the society.

Lending-based real estate crowdfunding, which involves the use of real estate to secure loans, has emerged as a promising alternative with lower risk than peer-to-peer lending. This study provides insights into understanding how lenders’ investment behavior is shaped by various information in such an emerging market. Using a data set from a large platform over 17 months, the authors find that lenders as a whole prefer loans secured by a borrower’s house to those secured by a mortgage, as reflected in quicker and larger lending transactions. Experienced lenders tend to invest more aggressively, in both time and amount, but exhibit a weaker preference for loans secured by a borrower’s house. A rise in housing prices is associated with quicker lending decisions, and this association is found to be stronger for loans secured by a borrower’s house. When stock market volatility is large, lenders tend to slow down their investments; such a tendency is attenuated for loans secured by a mortgage. The authors suggest that lender heterogeneity in responding to different collateral types should be incorporated into the platform’s design of an automatic transaction or a recommender system. Moreover, platform managers should consider economic conditions at the macro level when deploying their marketing strategy.

Background: With the advancement of technology across the world web and information have been interlinked. Internet is one of the channels for communication at a large platform just with a click and scrolling by fingertip. It is an impulsive disorder, which does not involve use of an intoxicating drug. When need get converted to demand we get addicted. Addiction causes depression, anger, loneliness and other medical problems too. Considering its variable use among different professionals, present study has been conducted to assess the level of addiction among young professional students of Raipur Chhattisgarh.Methods: Ethical approval for this study (N– ADMIN/261-B/2019) was provided by the institutional ethical committee Raipur institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS) Raipur on 11/07/2019. This was a cross-sectional observational study done in Raipur which included 160 (Purposive samples) students of 18-30 years from arts, commerce, engineering and medical colleges. The study duration was of two months (15 July 2019- 15 September 2019). Predesigned pretested structured questionnaire (Young’s internet addiction test) was done using multistage simple random sampling.Results: Prevalence of addiction is 65% (104/160). Mild, moderate and severe are 38% (62/160), 21.9% (35/160), 4.4% (07/160) respectively. Among severely addicted maximum 12.5% (05/160) belong to engineering stream.Conclusions: Male are more addicted than female and engineering streams are affected more severely.

Background. Nowadays, corporate entrepreneurship (CE) is perceived as an essential approach to boost the innovation and creativity within existing organizations for achieving higher opportunities in the market. This paper examines this concept, which has been largely discussed in the Anglo-Saxon world over the last thirty years. Like for many other phenomena, also in case of CE, this discussion has provided numerous conceptualizations, and consequently, there is not one unique definition of CE. In this respect, the search for an appropriate basis for understanding and describing the phenomenon of CE engenders a challenging issue for entrepreneurship researchers. Research aims. This paper aims at creating a large platform for understanding the concept of CE by means of a clarification effort through the review of the most important papers in this field and identification of the existing research gaps. Methodology. Systematic literature survey is the applied methodology. EBSCO and Taylor & Francis database were used as a source for the sampling process. Key findings. The analysis does acknowledge the need for more qualitative and rigorous research in this field and brings several recommendations for the future studies. The main conclusions also do urge for a more diversified research in terms of the sectors discussed, as the biggest gap identified is in the services sector. There is also a need for a more structured classification of the measures, depending on the real research focus: CE antecedents or outcomes.
