This paper describes a new automatic layout algorithm named CoSEP for compound graphs with port constraints. The algorithm works by extending the physical model of a previous algorithm named CoSE by defining additional force types and heuristics for constraining edges to connect to certain user-defined locations on end nodes. Similar to its predecessor, CoSEP also accounts for non-uniform node dimensions and arbitrary levels of nesting via compound nodes. Our experiments show that CoSEP significantly improves the quality of the layouts for compound graphs with port constraints with respect to commonly accepted graph drawing criteria while running reasonably fast, suitable for use in interactive applications for small to medium-sized (up to 500 nodes) graphs. A complete JavaScript implementation of CoSEP as a Cytoscape.js extension along with a demo page is freely available at https://github.com/iVis-at-Bilkent/cytoscape.js-cosep .

Abstract With die size increasing and bump pitch decreasing on FCBGA (flip chip ball grid array), warpage is the first challenge that processes of package assembly and SMT (surface mount technology) will have. The main factor is CTE (coefficient of thermal expansion) mismatch between chip and substrate. The larger die size, the more significant elongation difference which could cause warpage. Furthermore, serious warpage can cause manufacture difficulties, such as bump bridge, bump non-wet and underfill (UF) void. As the result, in order to control package warpage, additional force, such as high modulus UF or metal heat sink are usually applied to restrict package deformation. However, the more additional force is applied, the more stress may be transferred to chip and causes chip corner or UF crack where easily cause stress concentration. In this paper, large package > 70 * 70 mm is studied for the challenges of on substrate process and reliability, meanwhile simulation is performed for stress prediction. In addition, possible solutions from material and process are discussed and studied.

The conclusion puts the continued commodification of Victorian babyhood into a different perspective by re-examining nineteenth-century discourse on an expanding baby industry that included baby care products as well as contradictory advice on their purchase, right usage, and ongoing innovation. It explores this industry as a product of and an additional force in the contestations surrounding competing forms of infant care that sharpened the paradoxical relationship between the sentimentalization of the baby and the commercial possibilities of anxious parenting, the increasing professionalization of infant care, and altogether the growing contestations surrounding the right way to look after your baby in print media. The ongoing commodification of the baby does more than attest to the lasting power and the distorting appropriation of Victorian baby-worship. A critical discussion of the growing culture of baby products at the time also prompts us to examine the significance of this culture today. In understanding and discussing its continued influence, we might become enabled to regard contradictory parenting advice and baby care products as presented in the media with more critical self-awareness as well.

Due to the temperature change of bridges, there is a great additional force in continuously welded rails on continuous bridges. Laying rail expansion regulators is an effective measure to reduce the additional force. The nonlinear finite element model is presented for a continuously welded rail track with a rail expansion regulator resting on the embankment and simple and continuous beams, considering the temperature change of the bridge. Then, a method is proposed to determine the locations of the rail expansion regulator and the fixed bearing of the continuous beam, corresponding to the maximum additional forces of rail reaching minimum values. Their appropriate matching locations are recommended based on the obtained influence laws of any locations of the rail expansion regulator and the fixed bearing of the continuous beam on the maximum additional forces of rail. The results can provide the theoretical basis for the design of the rail expansion regulator and the fixed bearing of long-span continuous bridges.

This paper presents the overall view of the method for obtaining information on the use of fuels on the Proton Saga FLX 1.3 car. Proton Saga FLX 1.3 is used because the car is a car that is often used by Malaysians. This is based on its low price and has an ergonomic that is fit for Malaysians. To see which fuels is more effective on the Proton Saga FLX 1.3 car. This study conducted tests on three different roads. This is to identify whether friction on each road or additional force when mounting a hill contributes to the use of fuels. In addition, this study was repeated three times for more accurate data. The roads used are highways, domestic and hilly roads. The fuels used in this study is RON 95 and RON 97 fuels. This is because the fuels are the ideal fuel for Proton Saga cars. In addition, this fuel is often found in petrol stations in Malaysia. So it can help people in choosing the best fuel on their Proton Saga car.

In order to solve the problem where existing mode-matching methods in microelectromechanical systems (MEMS) vibrating gyroscopes fail to meet real-time and reliability requirements, this paper presents a novel method to accomplish automatic and real-time mode-matching based on phase-shifted 45° additional force demodulation (45° AFD-RM). The phase-shifted 45° additional force signal has the same frequency as the quadrature force signal, but it is phase-shifted by 45° and applied to the sense mode. In addition, two-way phase-shifted 45° demodulations are used at the sense-mode detection output to obtain a phase metric that is independent of the Coriolis force and can reflect the mode-matching state. Then, this phase metric is used as a control variable to adaptively control the tuning voltage, so as to change the sense-mode frequency through the negative stiffness effect and ultimately achieve real-time mode-matching. Simulation and experimental results show that the proposed 45° AFD-RM method can achieve real-time matching. The mode frequency split is controlled within 0.1 Hz, and the gyroscope scale factor, zero-bias instability, and angle random walk are effectively improved.

The paper presents a preliminary strength analysis of an additional mechanical connector that improves the durability of a furniture joint locking system. Limited functional verification of a prototype was made by using 3D printing technology SLS. The construction of the additional connector was based on modules which increase diameter during the assembly of a widely used furniture connection. An additional force is obtained to prevent the loss of joint durability under changing climatic conditions of furniture usage. The essence of the presented research is also the indication of the SLS technology as a possible way of manufacturing the final product in the form of a multibody system in a pre-assembled configuration.
